i remember when i first got to the town..it was rainy, the town was surrounded by zombies and this music set the tone perfectly for being sad, depressing, and a little scary. when i convinced my wife to play with me back in 2013 the music was almost too much for her lmao. sucks poe is just a shell of its former self now
Publix dock runs, and catacombs runs for the large chest to get past level 70. That one unique mob at the end which would always freeze and kill new players before they got into the map room. Such simpler times. But boy do I not miss the constant desync / resync Macro spam as melee.

This goes so friggin well with the old login screen music as well. We get to see from the perspective of every exile from oriath being shipped like unwanted cargo under the decks, and then you find yourself on the shores with the carcasses of others who could not swim as well as you, many of them weren't warriors after all. And then you make it to lioneye's watch with the sound of a crying baby, almost like it was symbolically another chance at life for you and everyone there, huddled near the torches under the drizzling coastal rain. Despite oriath's attempts to banish you to death in the dangerous continent of wraeclast, life still finds a way to hold on. What a way to start your journey to vengeance and a new beginning!
Exactly. I miss these times. I am not the biggest fan of the new Soundtrack. I am not a hater of Kamil, but to me the old OST and "flair" felt much more immersive. Also for new content there are some kind of rock elements etc. To me its immersion breaking. Since then I play without Music enabled.

He got blacklisted in the industry and companies that dealt with him removed all his work from their projects. GGG did the same, and it was smart to do so. They distanced themselves from the mess and avoided potential copyright headaches/problems in the future.

Kamil makes some amazing combat and boss music, but I often feel like his area themes are a bit harder on the ears than they need to be. I much preferred a lot of the older, ambient music, even if I get why GGG removed it.
It's been nearly 10 years already? I remember playing closed beta when I was 17. Simpler times, and this brings me so much nostalgia. The game has come a long way since then. I've put over 9000 hours in to it over the last 10 years but the game just isn't fun for me anymore. For a few years this game was my life, it helped me get by. Everything comes to an end eventually I guess

They are adding music to the hideouts, but this track won't be on there. GGG doesn't own the rights to the song because the creator left GGG and took the rights to the music with him.

Maybe you can try downloading the full OST from some sketchy site but I wouldn't advise on doing so haha.

This song is some other level man! I mean, I felt all different kind of emotions each time that I visited Lioneye's Watch because of this song. As I got stronger, part of me still wanted to go to Lioneye's Watch to listen this masterpiece to remind myself that I was an exile that had been left to dead in a world , full of foul creatures. Good ol' times.
Geez, I really miss this one, I really want to use this in my Hideout. Nothing beat this tone of a place to call home for an Exile. I can sit back, relax, prepare for something waiting outside. Not that I hate the new one, but this one stuck in my mind for a reason.
Yeah it really did. Some of the new login screens were ok for events but they should have switched back the prison vessel. Your story begins as a stranded shipwrecked prisoner, it's the perfect setup.
I can't believe this and the old title theme would be cut from the game. Everything about the original character selection screen was better. I don't know who the statue man is or why PoE apparently revolves around him to the point that he would be on our login screen for several years now? This theme reminds me of the original vision for the game, but I don't feel nostalgic as much as... a little bit safe, at home, and my imagination is inspired. I guess there are a lot of possibilities for PoE that weren't realized because of real world limitations and I can't wait to explore them in my dreams.

Brings back alot of memories. Total noob trying to color my 5l QOTF to 5 blue followed by rage quit and saying this game suck to only find myself playing it again next day. This game have alot of flaws, but its one of the best games i ever played and loved/hated for its RNG.

when i got into poe back in the days (i think it was during "breach"-league) i couldnt believe how good the game was...i remember thinking to myself..."this is it...this is the best game i have ever played" since it satisfied all my personal criteria for a (arpg) game....it was truly a great experience for me. i dont play anymore because i burned out on it.
I frankly think the new composer for POE is doing a fantastic job but there are some instance where I think the old musics were better and this is one of them along with the bridge encampment and the Lunaris temple.
miss the old time POE, miss the previous Nessa voice, miss all the inconvenient UI, miss watching GGG improved everything slowly, incrementally. POE nowadays got many awesome contents, still keep moving and i enjoy it every time i came back playing the new league. But the old time POE has the most memories.
The only major thing I dislike from the new PoE is how cluttered it feels in terms of content. At least for me. 1.0.0 was my initial taste of PoE and I loved every second of it.
After so many years this track hits my heart harder than Tristram theme. Should be played in main menu or character creation even if in game music is disabled.
Adgio was found to potentially have plagiarized a large portion of Path of Exile's soundtrack, and to not have to deal with the game of "which song is legitimate", they just got rid of everything he made.

Geez, I really miss this one, I really want to use this in my Hideout. Nothing beat this tone of a place to call home for an Exile.
I can sit back, relax, prepare for something waiting outside.
Not that I hate the new one, but this one stuck in my mind for a reason.

This and the login theme in rainy prison vessel set the mood extremely well.
Yeah it really did. Some of the new login screens were ok for events but they should have switched back the prison vessel. Your story begins as a stranded shipwrecked prisoner, it's the perfect setup.
I can't believe this and the old title theme would be cut from the game. Everything about the original character selection screen was better. I don't know who the statue man is or why PoE apparently revolves around him to the point that he would be on our login screen for several years now?
This theme reminds me of the original vision for the game, but I don't feel nostalgic as much as... a little bit safe, at home, and my imagination is inspired. I guess there are a lot of possibilities for PoE that weren't realized because of real world limitations and I can't wait to explore them in my dreams.
I haven't played PoE much but damn this track hit me like a truck, i listen to this every now and then. What i understood is that this isn't the main theme anymore? sad
Brings back alot of memories. Total noob trying to color my 5l QOTF to 5 blue followed by rage quit and saying this game suck to only find myself playing it again next day.
This game have alot of flaws, but its one of the best games i ever played and loved/hated for its RNG.

when i got into poe back in the days (i think it was during "breach"-league) i couldnt believe how good the game was...i remember thinking to myself..."this is it...this is the best game i have ever played" since it satisfied all my personal criteria for a (arpg) game....it was truly a great experience for me. i dont play anymore because i burned out on it.
Try blind SSF, it's still fun unless you are trying to make it your job or speed run using meta builds, googling every most efficient thing.

I frankly think the new composer for POE is doing a fantastic job but there are some instance where I think the old musics were better and this is one of them along with the bridge encampment and the Lunaris temple.
Agreed. Old Lunaris temple was magical.
miss the old time POE, miss the previous Nessa voice, miss all the inconvenient UI, miss watching GGG improved everything slowly, incrementally. POE nowadays got many awesome contents, still keep moving and i enjoy it every time i came back playing the new league. But the old time POE has the most memories.
I miss the chained woman for the mana icon
The only major thing I dislike from the new PoE is how cluttered it feels in terms of content. At least for me. 1.0.0 was my initial taste of PoE and I loved every second of it.
After so many years this track hits my heart harder than Tristram theme. Should be played in main menu or character creation even if in game music is disabled.

Adgio was found to potentially have plagiarized a large portion of Path of Exile's soundtrack, and to not have to deal with the game of "which song is legitimate", they just got rid of everything he made.
I miss this... Not that the current theme is not good or worst or anything but this one had something special to it...
Even though I've been playing PoE with the newer music, I really like this one better.
This track is the Tristram theme for me.

@@Speculate_Me It has been removed because the creator of the soundtrack left GGG and took the rights to the music with him. So GGG basically doesn't own the song anymore.
