I did a coloring book in Canva. I'm going to try Book Bolt next.
Canva can work too, but BookBolt makes your final PDF comply with all the KDP rules and book sizes, so it's a lot easier!

Great video! I have a question, do you know what is 100% viewing in book bolt? When it's at 100 (Fit) view that is definitely not 100%, so I find it difficult to see what the true size is actually going to look like. Would really appreciate some help and answers, thanks!
Is this for the book creator? The actual size of the book will depend on what you choose as a size from the project settings - so you can find a real-life book that's similar to try to compare.
The 100% fit is more like the default view of the page and not a reflection of the size of the book necessarily. I can get it up to 125% without cutting any of the page off to see what I'm doing better.
Book Bolt will also show you a little space on the edges you're meant to keep clear so that it doesn't spill over the sides of the book which are actually going to be trimmed on printing. You can enable/disable these in Settings > Guides & Grid > Amazon KDP margins.
