I am 100% certain I need to set up as an affiliate the only thing I'm a little unclear about is setting up a selection of products in a very attractive way and making it easy to navigate. What would you suggest for a new small business youtube channel and no followers but plan to link products i use in my small business for future followers to buy? And would i have to ipen a canada, usa and uk account separately to provide separate location links for example the one product ie: heat press?
If you're new, focus on the content first. Then look at your analytics and see where the majority of your views come from and prioritise those affiliate links. But you can also set up One Link so it connects them all.

I had an Amazon Affiliate account until yesterday when I learned about the influencer account. I then joined the influencer program, but I had no idea it was an either-or situation! Are all my affiliate account links on my blog redundant now that I'm on the influencer program??

You don't get to create a storefront as an affiliate, but you can replicate it on your website/blog if you want something that looks similar.

You can have multiple accounts - just disclose them to Amazon.

It seems to connect both affiliates and influencers with brands that sell on Amazon. It must be a new addition or something they are trailing out.

Yes, but it won't apply to your storefront link, only to your affiliate links. For the storefront, you will need to apply + create separate US/UK/CA storefronts.
Can you tell me if you can upload the product videos as an assiciate and still make the comission, or do youneed to have an influencer account? Im fine as just an associate as i link to specific products i use in YT videos but would like to earn commissions if people watch videos on the Amazon page.
I believe that's an influencer feature and you need to be approved for on-site commissions. It isn't an option for affiliates, but you can have both accounts.

Thank you for all this info. I have both affiliate and influencer profile. My question is- how do i know which one im getting credit on? Are they linked? I get emails for the influencer program with different incentives. When i post reviews and videos, it looks like it shows on both pages? I guess im just confused and want to make sure im posting correctly to get monetized becase some things pay more on affiliates and some on influencers. When i click on reports, it only shows my stuff on one store ID although both show up. Thanks!
I believe they are linked - so you will be able to access them both from the same account, but they will have their own dashboards.
At 11:00 min on the subject of geo-tracking: I joined both programs and I linked my influencer/storefront link to my one-link. Can't I use one-link for both Instagram and my blog?
The one link feature isn't available for the influencer program - only for the affiliate program. You can sign up and create multiple stores for the different countries (US, UK etc) and add them both on your blog / Instagram treelinks and so forth.
The geo-tracking will only work for links you generate using the affiliate site-stripe. And yes - you can still share these on your blog/socials. But they usually lead to just one Amazon product, not your previously created storefront.

Just posted a video on this! Best way is to create a self-hosted Wordpress blog. You can get a free theme and design it for free with Elementor, and add your affiliate links in relevant posts and pages there.

Self-hosted Wordpress blog - you only pay for hosting ( I recommend www.thesheapproach.com/bluehost). Then install the Elementor plugin (free).
i am an amazon associate and unfortunately I don’t get many sales and can only cash out when i reach 25€. if i joined the amazon influencer, would the money add to the money i have on the associates? or i would have 2 different values to be able to cash out?

Create the website first without the images. Then wait to get approved to insert those. You can get stock images as replacement if you really need some. But you have to wait to send in your application to get access to the Site Stripe and images.

Hi Ana! Do you know what the rule is for graphics on social media? I see a lot of influencers post graphics with the photos on Amazon but when I did that on affiliates, I got kicked out. But now I'm an amazon influencer, so I'm wondering if it's allowed there?
I think you might be allowed to use them as an influencer! Rules are a little different but check your agreement.
Wow what a great video. I was just approved into the affiliate program. I know how to paste the link and create it. Quick question though, when I am ready to post unto a facebook post what do i need to disclose on the post? Do you have an example of what I need to type in the post before posting the link so i don't get banned on facebook. You mentioned disclosing it was an affiliate program.
Yes - just add "This is an affiliate link" or #affiliatelink is also approved on socials.

Hello! Great video! If I wanted to create a influencer storefront connecting to my pet's instagram page, how do I sign up for the influencer program? I am supposed to decide between creating a new account or using my existing personal amazon account (But with this disclaimer: Your shopping history, product reviews, lists and other content you have created on Amazon will be associated with your influencer account). I don't want to pay for 2 amazon accounts, so I think I would just select my existing account, but then it automatically connects to my personal instagram page and not my pet page. So I am not sure what to do. Do I just create a brand new amazon account for my pet and just not pay for the prime membership that I already have on my existing account?
You do not need to have a prime membership linked to your Amazon account for it to allow you to sign up as an influencer or affiliate. Just create a new Amazon account at that step, and only use that Amazon shopper account to connect to a new influencer account. You can continue to use your main Amazon account to do your shopping as regular.

I presumed being accepted as an influencer automatically makes you an associate as well? because I have access to creating specific product links with Stripe.
So Im now confused and wondered if you could answer:
1) Do we automatically become associates when accepted as Influencers?
2) Do we also need to make 3 sales in 180 days in all countries? Because UK don’t allow product placement yet on amazon video reviews, so I would need to drive the traffic for this
3) If we influencers get product link using stripe links, then add these to blog articles, is there any difference from someone who is only an amazon associate (not influencer) adding product links?

I want to have a storefront for the reason you mentioned at the end, I want to be able to say "check out all the books I recommend with this link". Is the influencer program the only way to do this?
You can also create a landing page where you list these books (either a blog post, or a designated page on a website you own) and have the affiliate links there.
I learned about the influencers program because of the onsite commission from review videos.... You dont cover this here... Did it not exist when you made this video? does making review videos keep your account open even if you dont post on a social media?
I know it is a little off the topic, but what is the rule when it comes to posting links to your products on Pinterest? I am Ammazo Affiliate. I learned initially that I need to send people to my blog, and from there to Amazon for the possible purchase to count toward my commission. But I see people linking directly from Pinterest to the Amazon store. Does this mean they are Influencers?
Affiliates can share links on Pinterest, as it's technically allowed. But Pinterest doesn't push those kind of pins a lot, so you are better off creating pins to a claimed website's landing pages.

Yes, just add the new affiliate links to the videos after.

Not sure what a Telegram channel is, but you are allowed to link to a product directly without content per say. It just usually won't convert as well.

Yes! It acts like a page which is public, so you can embed links on there.

Absolutely!

It depends on what kind of content you are planning to post, and what makes the most sense for that.
Your videos are all so helpful thank you. Question: I signed up as an influencer giving my IG account however, on the top left corner of my amazon page it states 'Amazon Associates'? On my storefront I've been able to set up different idea lists and have just posted my first blog on my website linking both my storefront as well as individual products. However, I've also posted a youtube video with a link to a specific product. Am I an affiliate or influencer? Lol
So glad to hear! If you applied through the influencer program, and had the option to build and link to a storefront - you're an influencer. Affiliates can't create a storefront, but I believe some influencers have said that Amazon has released the option to link to individual products now, and although you manage the two accounts in two separate dashboards, there is some overlap as they want people who are both influencers and affiliates to quickly find what they are looking for, which is why you might see the Amazon Associates in your dashboard.

If I have a storefront is it safe to say I have Amazon Influencer?
I just got approved as an associate but I really just want to be just an influencer. Do I start all over with the application for influencer or can I apply from my associate acct an actually get approved.
You will need to register as an influencer separately, as they are two different programs. Just set that up and forget about the affiliate account if you aren't planning to use it.
While waiting on approval for my influencer account (which i now have) I signed up as an associate. I would like to not have the associate account anymore because I have my influencer status and storefront. How do i delete the Associate portion of my account?
You can close your account from the profile settings - affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/help/node/topic/GQNN9CDY7HH3CQHG.
Although it will just be closed due to inactivity if you don't generate any sales in the first 180 days.

You can totally promote them outside of a website! RUclips descriptions and comments is allowed - just make sure the videos are public. (No private or unlisted videos)
Such a great video. In Canada we aren’t able to post videos as an Influencer, just photos. Can you have 2 Influencer accounts (for example: one for Canada & one for US) and link the two accounts? I have a lot of US followers so I’m thinking it would be better to have this as an option. Thank you.

Yes - you can link to the deal page or any other page as well. Check your site stripe for the link.
Ana your videos are very informative and you put out great content. I've learned alot. I have opened both personal/business and linked my first tik tok affiliate program account, I just did this 5/12/24. Everything was working out fine except when I click on tik tok shop I don't have the option to click on product market place button it just says shop or cant add the product to show case. I don't know what I did wrong and I am assuming I need this so I can link it later to the videos I make. I've seen so many youtube vid but this part is not explained or clear to me if am missing a step. I don't have the 5k followers yet. or is it that tik tok is not allowing me to sell in the affiliate program shop until I reach the 5k followers? has anybody else ran into this same problem?? You cannot add Amazon products to the Tik Tok shop, they are two separate ecommerce platforms. You can share your affiliate links in your tiktok links, or showcase existing Tiktok products and earn affiliate income on those. But Tiktok shop products are dispatched by their own sellers, and you can't connect them to Amazon products.
Hello… I myself am a new Amazon affiliate, most certainly learning as I go the difference between an affiliate and influencer. I am curious what has worked best for people in the beginning as far as how to share the products sense with being an affiliate you do not get a storefront. The people who were successful built an online audience - either leading them to their blogs or socials where they share content. You have to provide value beyond just selling to them.
I've seen people do it with blogs - that are easier than ever to build - thesheapproach.com/how-to-start-blog/ - or just with social media and the influencer program.

You can't share any of those videos on your own channel unless you get permission from the individual sellers. It's easier to create your own product videos or use stock videos.
Hi Ana, great video it's very informative. I am a new Amazon Affiliate and have my own website I created a front store selling male, female, and beauty products from Amazon (3 buttons). For example, the female fashion button has ten pages and each page contains 10 items eg, shirts, active, wears ..., the same for the others. Is that allowed for Amazon affiliates or just for Amazon influencers? My account was Frozen recently with the right to reapply. One of the things I have to be compliant with is the URLs for the 4 social media I am registered with, how can I have access to them? Many Thanks
Yes, you should be able to do that. Just make sure the pages are live and can be accessed, and disclose your domain URL as one of your links on your profile.
I want to ask for commission rates, On-Site Amazon Influencer Commission Rates and Amazon Affiliate Commission Rates, it is totally diffirent?
From what I know it's very similar. They might be several categories (fashion for example) that get higher commission as an influencer, but sometimes the affiliate program has promo months where they temporarily raise commissions as well.

I was approved and made the sales but then my account was closed because I didn’t meet requirement could it be due to not having a website because all I put was my ltk. Also would link tree count as a website or no?
Did you not make enough sales, or did some of them not count? The requirements usually reflect if they approved the sales or not - so they might look into where they came from.
You can list your link-tree, but usually you need to link the social media profile where you attach that link first, as that's what you use to drive traffic.

You are already earning affiliate commission from the influencer store products. You can't combine the two, or add any other external links to your influencer store.

Heya - the 3 sales minimum only applies to affiliates. For influencers, once you're in, you're in! And you can be both an influencer with a storefront and an affiliate sharing specific product links at the same time if it makes sense for you!

I’m so confused, bc I was told I could share links in my Stories on Instagram. So I can’t share individual product links, only my store link? Why would I have the capability of linking individual products if that’s not how I’m suppose to share them? I’m lost.
If your Instagram account is public, you can absolutely share links to individual products.
