Big question please help i just signed up and added my instagram i have been posting on my story my links and have been getting clicks but my instagram account is private should i switch to public instead??
I'm an English speaking immigrant living in Italy and find it hard to sell in Italy than to other countries that are English-speaking. Can I use my english language blog to apply as an Amazon Affiliate? I would be very grateful if this question is answered from a knowledgeable person like you.
I got an email from compliance and have learned alot today!! They also provided me with a list of 100's of words that are not allowed to be used. So they said the word "amazon" cannot be used anywhere! My previous name had that word in there so I had to change all of my names on the accounts I have. I was also told by one rep that you dont need to put the disclaimer next to EVERY link post, that the bio alone is good enough but another rep said a disclaimer has to be put next to EVERY link! Even something as simple as "commission earned" or "paid link". So thankful for these videos! So many rules that people may not be aware of.
Usually one disclaimer per page will do - but thanks for sharing! Glad this was helpful and I'm sure your advice will be helpful for others reading it as well.
@@crystalviolet2711 what I have found is, we’re definitely not allowed to add the title to thumbnails, or when, posting on other social media platforms, we shouldn’t have the word typed on any of the videos. I still save influencers doing this all the time, but those are supposedly red flags.

Thanks Ana, this is the BEST and most practical video I have seen about starting in the Amazon affiliate program. You saved me from making a lot of mistakes that probably would have seen me disqualified from the program, but I have now been accepted with my 3 qualified sales 😃

Hi! Thank you for your video! However, I still have one question about posting images. Is it allowed to take image from amazon change the background of it, make it more unique and post on Pinterest with affiliate link?
The answer is still no, you can't download photos and edit them. You're better off trying to take your own photos, or using stock photos. But technically, photos that are edited, are harder to track down by Amazon.
I have a video on how to grab the photos of the products here: ruclips.net/video/bTGMWHL4K-k/видео.html For the tax step, you simply need to fill out a form from the settings page.

I created a title "Popular products under $100", and added a list of products and links below it. Is this also a violation of the part of not being allowed to list prices?
I think using a ballpark is fine, as long as you don't share the exact price of each product. If you wanted to include prices, you can do so by using a tool like Lasso for example - thesheapproach.com/lasso - as this is allowed to pull and update the price of the listings every 24 hours as requested by Amazon.
No, no links in emails allowed as they are technically private. You can add links to specific landing pages that are public from your newsletter, and have Amazon links on those pages instead.
I could use some advice. I just built a niche Facebook for a localized market. I would like to add Amazon affiliate links to this page, but I understand I can only do this if the group is public and not private. I had hoped by being private I could avoid being hit by spammers. So that's one issue. For the second issue, keep in mind that this is a gardening-themed troup and I wish to promote certain seeds. How can I display an image of the item without violating any of Amazon's rules? Posting a link in a text file doesn't show an image of a tomato or pepper. Suggestions?
Images get shown automatically in the preview for Facebook (and that's allowed), so your linked posts will have an image automatically. In terms of making the group public, you can turn on post approval so you have to manually approve new posts which will keep the spam at bay, or keep the group private and share links to public landing pages instead of direct Amazon links. I have a video on it about Pinterest, but applies to Facebook links too: ruclips.net/video/79jcfHhxqiE/видео.htmlsi=Ft1Oe9q-crBXUFiX
What if you got your Amazon associate for your blog but down the road your start a RUclips channel. Can you post a link for a product on RUclips directing them straight to Amazon or does it have to still direct them to your blog? 7:27
Yes, you can. You might need to add your RUclips channel as an asset to your affiliate account, basically claiming that you will also share affiliate links on there.
thank you for the info, yk on pinterest people ask for products or clothing items on other pins in the comments, can i reply to them with my link to direct them to the product that is being used in that pin if i did not post the original pin?
Hi Elaine - only if you plan to make your own content with the clothes, which can sometimes help. But I've seen content creators put together "virtual outfits" or offer alternatives for products they have by linking to similar Amazon products. So it's not required.
Hi! Super helpful videos, thank you so much. Before seeing any sales, is it possible to see a list of my active affiliate links? They don't show up using the affiliate link checker, so I am lost :) Thanks!!
Incredibly helpful and fast! Thank you! I already sent 2 in an email so I'm so glad I learned not to do that again! So many rules but you made it easy to remember!
HI. Great video. I have two questions? Why do the people have to buy the Amazon products with my Website ? What is the difference between short link and full link ? Thanks in advance
You can share Amazon affiliate links outside of your website as well, that's just one idea of a place to add your links. No difference between the links, despite how they look. Their short links are the approved shortened versions and they work well for sharing on social media where the link is visible, as it takes less space.
Hi Ana, thank you for this informative video! I had a question about the cloaking method. So let's say, I want to blog about a sleep eye mask. Can I not rename it to say " this 'eye mask' is great", does it have to look like "this 'affiliate link' for sleep is great"?
If you add a link to words, that's just anchoring the link, and it's allowed. You can be flexible with that you link it too. Masking is when you link to link A that then redirects to an Amazon link for example (such as Bitly links). That is seen as cloaking as you are hiding the final link. Hope that makes sense!
Ty for the much needed info! It seems so intimidating to get started! Ive taken this leap before working for myself being a handy man but it stills causes me extra stress! One question i do have is: If i tell my cancer survival, dying and recent trauma stories and i explain that i took these certain supplements and read audiobooks in which i believe saved my life and I promote those supplements is that considered what you said giving people incentives or persuasion? I already have the medical and supplement disclaimers in mind and ready to prevent the liability and being sued, but need to know what you think about Amazons thought of it and what you would recommend
I just posted a new video on the differences between the two, and which one I recommend: ruclips.net/video/4sXXNnWpOF0/видео.html. Let me know if your question isn't answered in the video though!
Great question! Amazon doesn't specify exactly, but because bounties are counted separately in your reports, I don't think they qualify as sales. (As sometimes you can get bounties from free trials or gift registries.)
Only influencers get an Amazon based storefront. If you want to create something similar, you will need to build it on your own website and platform. I recommend a self-hosted website - I have a tutorial on how to build one here - thesheapproach.thrivecart.com/start-a-profitable-blog-course/ - and the free Elementor page builder (all drag and drop, and what I used to create my shop page).
Nope - same platform. Use the site stripe as normally, or generate a link from the affiliate account under Product Linking. Here's a direct link - affiliate-program.amazon.com/home/textlink/general.
Thanks Ana! Very good content! I have a doubt - Can I write reviews about products from any site (not just Amazon products)? Will I still be eligible for Amazon Affiliate Program?
Thank God I watched your video! I asked my sister to place an order on my Amazon Affiliate link so that I could test the process and make sure the link was working. Now I'm scared I'll get kicked off. I already let me mom and friends to not use it.
Sometimes they will not count the sale, and only kick you off if it happens multiple times. So hopefully it won't get in the way of getting your account approved.
Thank you for breaking this down so well! Do you have a video you can direct me to regarding information about using Amazon’s product photos/showing them in your content? I was given a warning about this recently and I’m having trouble understanding what is and isn’t ok. I see so many bloggers regularly using product photos in their content, on LTK, etc
LTK is a little different as they embed the images for you and have an understanding with the brands they work with, including Amazon. But the golden rule is to just use the Amazon HTML code for the images, not to save/screenshot them yourself if that makes sense.
Heya! I use the Lasso plugin - thesheapproach.com/lasso. But links/images can be added automatically from Amazon without a plugin. I have a separate video on that here: ruclips.net/video/bTGMWHL4K-k/видео.html

You cannot create coupons, but you can share existing ones - or the links of products that are on sale.
wow this video is overwhelming!!!!
For real like Amazon damn😅
Great video thank you.
hello I am just concern in your mic that is a ordinary plastic straw?? btw i like your video big help thanks
It's just a little DIY for a broken mic stand haha.
just started and thanks, picked up some useful tips and will watch again
Great to hear!
Excellent content, and you have excellent diction, thank you very much
Thank you very much!
This is just the video I was hoping for. Thank you.
So glad to hear!
where can I get a specific Question answered?🌻
Email me!
I need some advice regarding my Amazon affiliate and influencer account. Do you advise with this ?
I just posted a new video on the differences between the two, and which one I recommend: ruclips.net/video/4sXXNnWpOF0/видео.html.
Let me know if your question isn't answered in the video though!
About the 3 sales rule : does Bounty count towards it?
Great question! Amazon doesn't specify exactly, but because bounties are counted separately in your reports, I don't think they qualify as sales. (As sometimes you can get bounties from free trials or gift registries.)
@@TheSheApproach Thanks :)
Which mobile app is the correct one to use for amazon affilate?
You don't tick that unless you own an app if that makes sense.
How do I create a storefront for my affiliate program with amazon. Do I need to create an actual website outside of amazon?
Only influencers get an Amazon based storefront. If you want to create something similar, you will need to build it on your own website and platform.
I recommend a self-hosted website - I have a tutorial on how to build one here - thesheapproach.thrivecart.com/start-a-profitable-blog-course/ - and the free Elementor page builder (all drag and drop, and what I used to create my shop page).
Do we get the commission, even if the buyer purchases using our link in Cash On Delivery method?
No, and I don't believe that's an option with Amazon.
How can I just use the affiliate for kindles, is there a different sign up
Nope - same platform.
Yes! You can be an affiliate for other brands and programs as well as Amazon.
@@TheSheApproach Oh ok, thanks Ana!
Me too.
Looks like I can learn a LOT from your content, therefore I just Subscribed! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Welcome aboard!
This was amazing! Thank you 🙏🏾 😊
Kindly share what are the plugins you using for Amazon
Heya! I use the Lasso plugin - thesheapproach.com/lasso.
But links/images can be added automatically from Amazon without a plugin.
I have a separate video on that here:
ruclips.net/video/bTGMWHL4K-k/видео.html
That's crazy about friends and family. normally that's how a business starts! Thanks for the amazing information!
That's true - but Amazon doesn't want people buying just to help you out strangely!
Hey Ana, now that you mention it's a bad idea to put a price. What about Global Ratings -and Avg. Customer review NUMBERS? Thanx in advance
I think you should be able to estimate that. Just don't give exact numbers. Something like "over 200 5 star reviews" would work.
SO HELPFUL! ive had an account for 10 days and I'm so lost and overwhelmed!
So glad this helped! Keep going with it.
How is it going
Tx for the inside oil.
Interesting! I want to register for Amazon affiliate. Thank you for this interesting video
Go for it! And so glad this video helped.
