    I bought my RA-36 back four years ago, I got tired of the temperature swings that I modified it. The blowing air you refer to is a squirrel fan that is drawn in air from the top opening what I think they are doing is to keep your wires cooled while heating the oven - there is not enough insulation on the top side or bottom side. 1. I took off the cover of the burner on the bottom and discarded it. I then bought a JLD612 PID and installed it where the oven on the light is located. I then placed a stub JK thermo-coupler in the backside next to the gas thermometer located then I placed an SSR solid stated relay and paralleled it onto the temperature knob wires. My oven still works like normal with wild temperature swings unless I turn on the PID then I have a large sous-vide oven +/- 1/2 degree. I will buy another one for my next house and will automatically PID it. Amazon has a kit costing about $40 to get a precision oven.

      This sounds like a very interesting mod. Would you happen to have a video or diagram?

      @@Jive_Engineering Yes I have pictures. Currently, everything is in one kit on Amazon. I have been making Sous-vide iteem for over 20 years and made them for restaurants, I can shoot a video; how would I give it to you? Have you ever taken the top off?

    We have the RG-36 model and it too has a recall. I didn't realize the 24 in models were also recalled, my info only mentioned the 30" and 36" models. Our power burner also has issues with not lighting. Overall though I love the range and hope I've not gotten sick from carbon monoxide as we use the range a lot.

    The burner caps can be cleaned with hot water, a green scrubber, and some scrubbing compound such as Barkeeper's Friend or Comet. On the double wok burner check to make sure there aren't any clogged orifices. Also clean it thoroughly. Hope this helps.

      I will definitely give that a try. It seems like it gets clogged where the arc is supposed to go. Perhaps some oil or debris got in between these two components. Thanks for the recommendation!

      I find it to be rust not letting the spark or a poor spark

    I have the drop-in 36" version, after a few months of SIX burners - only ONE is now working (clicking). ZLINE promised to send replacement parts but NO service for fixing it is available... just found out today. This brand seems to have a lot of issues.

      Sorry to hear that. That definitely seems like an electrical issue. Our one big burner acts up quite a lot, as seen in the vide. But everything else has been fine.

    Just got my recall parts put in. Now I’m beginning to use my oven, still nervous that it’ll emit c02. Also, I have to to turn on timer when I’m turning oven on. Is there a way to turn oven on without the timer?

    • @Jive_Engineering
      @Jive_Engineering  Год назад

      If yours is anything like mine, you can move the knob to the ON position. It should keep it on until you come back and turn it off.

    My oven does not have a knob with high bake and low bake on it. I have the timer and the temp knobs. I cannot seem to get the oven to heat to 350 in a timely manner. Any suggestions as how to do that?

      The way we have done it is by timing. Ours heats up within 15 minutes, so we always set the knob timer to 15 minutes. When it dings, we know it is ready.
