Just hiring an electrician to upgrade your kitchen wiring for induction will cost you double the price you paid for the range itself. It's far more cost-effective to stick with gas!
Really? Running 1 wire from the box to the kitchen and installing a junction box was that much?

You're either 1) gas utility employee/shareholder OR 2) an idiot who didn't know what to ask an electrician so he/she purposely over-quoted your job hoping u would say "Nah, I'll pass." Regardless, whoever (pets included) lives in that house with u says thanks for all the yummy benzene floating off your toxic gas cooktop LOL!
