I'm so impressed how dedicated you are with tutorial. You have no cameramen to help you record the video. You do it all by yourself! May your good deed be repaid one day!
Sorry for the lack of videos! It has been a crazy 2 years working in covid (I coach 1/2 of the time and the other 1/2 I work in healthcare - it has been way more than 1/2 lately with the roller coaster of covid surges). My 2022 goal is to be more consistent with my tutorials! Comment on your 2022 goals below! Let's support each other and crush our goals!
I really love your tutorial series on the LTS Skate Levels! I've made a habit of watching your demonstrations as I'm starting each level. Can I ask if you are planning to create similar videos for each Free Skate level?
Hi Coach Mary! I've started learning skating from your videos from my inlines and now I'm halfway through the basic skills on ice with a coach and still checking your Tutorials for reviews, which are very helpful! So thank you for these! Also so awesome to see a figure skater also who works in healthcare as well! I don't feel alone now. ❤️ Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
These tuts are so helpful! Having everything in one video really helps to know what my practice session is going to look like, and also what these skills should be looking like. Super helpful and looking forward to the Free skate 1 video!
I just took my skating test tonight and found out I’m moving up to pre free skate. I’m so excited but so nervous. I can’t wait to start learning new elements and a first real jump. AHAHA!!! I’M SO FREAKING HAPPY!
I appreciate you walking through each skill requirement for these levels! It is helpful. I have to keep pausing and going back to some skill elements because you move quickly. 🙂 No one else on RUclips (that I have seen) has walked through Pre-Freeskate and Freeskate 1 like you have. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your video. My kid is practicing pre-freeskate skills now. This video is very helpful for us. Please keep updating with freeskate level 1.
Thanks so much for this!!!!!! I love the idea of breaking down the backward pivot into pumps and working up to a full pivot. I'm learning the backward pivot now.
I love this video. I attempted the footwork sequence, but seem to have trouble with the step behind. Something to work on. Probably not bending my knees enough 😂
Hi coach Mary. I would like to ask for ur advice. I went to an ice skates fitting. The guy measured my feet and said 250 (edea overture skates ) is my size . It does feel very snugged and feel good . How supportive the skates feels . Not sure if he tie it too tight or it doesn't fit me well. After about 10-15 (or 20 mins) wearing that. My feet feel numb . It didn't feel crushing my toes but it feels numb . Next day. I went to different shop. Another guy measured my feet . He gave me 255 (which is 0.5am bigger ). He didn't help me tie my skates just kinda let me play around with it . It felt good too . probably because it is new and comfortable. Does it matter if I get 250 or 255? What's ur take on this ? Would you advice me on that ? Thank u
