I attempted to break a world record, assembling AND painting 102 Warhammer miniatures where of 5 dragons and massive miniatures in 24 hours to give away to one person who had to sell his entire collection to pay his rent.

I've no doubt he deserves this if the squid guys chose him, but he really didn't show much gratitude at all IMO. Maybe it's the editing but I dunno, I expected a different attitude...
@@PraetorGix When something sounds too good to be true .. it usually is , probebly expected someone to tell him no it was only for the camera. My guess is it wont hit home until he is home with the army and realise Squidmar is not calling to bring it back.
@@PraetorGix Also people are not used to be on camera, it is pretty awkward to have your reactions filmed, which of course hinders spontaneity. It's a big channel too, so there's that pressure. Then not everybody will act like in the movies to show their happiness... although this has become what we "expect".
I get your point but catching somebody off guard + the camera surely tames down the "observable" response ;)
I think it's cool Emil and his guys don't put the emphasis on "how" a response should be with abusive montage, but just take it as it comes !

I have to say, i love this kind of videos because it's shows kindness, love for the hobby and community that you have, but as someone of the south of Europe it baffles me how little emotion people show with this kind of surprises, I would lose my shit if someone does all this for me (I am sure he is beyond grateful, not saying that)

Even in the same countries you can see the difference. In France for example people from the Northern part don't show many emotions whereas the ones from the Southern part are so intense. I myself am from a Northern country, but my girlfriend is latina and gosh are we opposite when it comes to showing emotions. XD

One thing- the bones on the dragon wings would've looked reeaaaally good if they were painted bone as well.

I recently put a Start Collecting box for the Flesh Eater Courts together. There are some _old_ kits in there, the Zombie Dragon was all mould lines. Big respect to you for putting together *SO MANY*

I remember how tragic it was to see all his really nicely painted armies sold on the facebook site in Sweden. (Some of those were close to or even were golden demon if i remember correctly) This made me so happy to see he got something back after all the bad things that got in the way in life, huge thanks Emil for doing this to someone in the hobby who really deserved it!

Squidmar practically owns this dude now. Now he has to do anything and everything Squidmar tells him to do. I like this type of Warhammer videos, thanks for it, was nice to watch, and give me more motivation to finish building my army :) I like building my Fyreslayers but I am a very slow building with my cleaning und gluing.

Haven't ever played warhammer but watch your videos when I can. Love the work you do. My wife and I are thinking of starting a adepta sororitas army together. Never painted before so hopfully with time they will look as good as yours.

I'm pretty sure there's an easy way to go for a faster army to paint.
Necrons are rather easy for it, one crazy guy near me did a full army of them in a weekend with some pretty large breaks for sleep and similar.
For basing, he used the plastic canvas with a matching hole punch to just power through the majority of them, primed them all black, used two drybrushes over the mini, one other metallic drybrush over the base, added a wash, then went in for details with some neons, and hit the rims.
There's also the massive horde that a friend of mine did for the Prodos AVP game...flat black primer, drybrush a neon over them from top down, clean up the majority of the base, then hit the rims with the same neon color. The design went almost wireframe and fit a lot of the old kenner AvP toys, and that was under a whole day for the entire thing with a few breaks for food and the like...morning to evening and the only thing not finished until later was sealing them due to rain issues

Well, this video just made my day. Someone doing something nice for someone they barely know. Well done. I built one of those dragons for my Vampire Count army in 8th edition and it probably took me 4 months to build and paint. And dang, it must be a headache to pack those dragons for shipping.
