on my XLT w eco boost 2 litre i get no less than 30 and top at 32 running on 93 octane don't beat or abuse mostly highway and keep my speed on interstates at 65-70 th e93 octane reallly made a real difference in power..
I always enable the start/stop at every startup. Not doing so is hard on the battery, starter and also on the engine. I have the cactus grey 2024 XLT front wheel drive. So far, I really like it.
Very nice! It's great to be able to have all the utility of a small pickup with decent towing capability and excellent fuel economy. Thanks for your comment! 🙂👍
I have a XLT two wheel drive using 87 octane in the eco mode I’m getting around 33 mpg in similar driving conditions. I don’t use the start sop because I heard it’s really hard on the engine. Enjoy your new truck!
Looking to get one of these! Just an XL model with the towing package for an old popup we are getting. I have a 2012 F-150 XLT with the 6.5ft bed at the moment and it is not running and it is time to get rid of it. The only time we drive it is for camping trips. Plus the f-150 is just too big for what we use it for and the gas mileage is awful.
Thats excellent milage for a new truck. My new '07 Ranger 2wd best mpg was 26.5 on the highway after it had 4-5k miles, it was 2.5L with 100 less hp and roughly the same weight. Thanks for posting.
Wanted hybrid but found BLUE XLT 2 months ago. 28mpg. Local Casino sells non ethanol for about same as non tribal ethanol so I'm splurging. Deleting ASS after 2 people just got killed merging into our dangerous hiway exit by cop doing 90, no pauses please.
Update on my gas mileage on the 2024 Maverick XL with the 2.0 turbo is 29 miles per gallon in mixed driving. That is with 5500 miles on the truck. I encourage everyone to adjust the AFE on your Maverick if you haven't already done this. Maverick Truck Club has information on how to do this.
I have a 2024 Maverick XL Ecoboost with 1800 miles on it. So far, it is averaging 28.2 miles per gallon in mixed driving. I have noticed that the computer reading is usually about 1.5 to 2.0 miles per gallon too high. I calculate my mpg the old fashioned way at the pump by doing the math. My truck is front wheel drive, so it gets about one mile per gallon better than the all wheel drive. The truck drives and handles very good. I agree with you on the gas mileage. It does beat the EPA estimates.
@@nicknadeau5538 Great question! As much as 528 miles in ECO Mode. I made a recent video about it. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/flB7zxFPxuw/видео.html
29 is very good from what others have reported. I wish they'd build the 2.0 with combination port and direct fuel injection like the 2.3 liter, and others.
I have a 2024 XLT AWD. First road trip at about 200 miles on the OD and a 400 plus trip using 87 octane got 27.1 MPG I read the manual about octane and decided to try 91. Next road trip of 800 miles with 1900 on the OD got 31.4 MPG. WOW. Not sure with the price difference between the 2 octane that it is a good financial decision, but in hot weather if the engine is happier I'll go with it until fall. BTW, no "eco" mode on the AWD model.
Wow, that is an amazing result after switching to 91 octane fuel! Thanks for your comment. :) I double checked, and my AWD Maverick has ECO mode. I've been wanting to test it out, and you inspired me to more closely examine the drive modes. Here's a short video I made about them today: ruclips.net/user/shortsyY0GKcdiBfQ Additionally, I posted a few photos to my Community section on RUclips here: www.youtube.com/@c.a.r.s.carsandrelevantspecs/community I'm looking forward to hearing more great reports from fellow Maverick owners like yourself. Thanks again!
I have the identical same truck brand new. Put on eco and I get 38 to 42 miles per gallon on highway. You have to change it everytime get in truck for eco. if not on eco then milage is not so good
I have a 23 Eco AWD. It does like Premium fuel, better. Sweet spot is about 61-63 mph. Gets 34 mpg, with tailwind, 36mpg. Doing 78-80 on interstate 29mpg.
Very nice! I just fueled up again yesterday, and the calculated MPG for the previous 381.6 miles was about 28.1 miles per gallon. The trip meter estimate was around 29.1 combined MPG. Considering that a lot of my driving is on a 65 MPH interstate highway and some city driving -- and the EPA combined MPG is rated at only 25 MPG -- I'd say that you and I are getting excellent gas mileage! Thanks for your comment! It's exciting and encouraging to hear these great reports from EcoBoost owners like yourself. Have a great day!
@@c.a.r.s.carsandrelevantspecsI had a 1429 mile trip. Averaged 29.2. The last 4 hours of the trip, was bucking a strong wind, so that hurt. I love the truck.
I have the same truck as you (color too) drove 267 miles (a round trip total) and got 32 mpg with 87+ gas 😁 and that was when I was still under my first thousand miles.
Ok, first a Maverick is not a real truck. Second, who drives a real truck to get great gas milage? You own a truck because you can carry and tow heavy stuff. If you want great milage, buy a Toyota Camry or something.
You do you. We don’t need the lecture on what is or isn’t. The government and manufacturer definitions are probably better that yours. Your definition seems to pinned to your ego and feelings. You don’t know what people buy trucks for. You only know what *you* bought a truck for. How many people actually tow and haul with the trucks they own? Give us the stats since you claim to know all. From what I see on the streets, a large group of people likely aren’t doing much towing or hauling. They like the size and looks but the bed is empty. Keep in mind, your opinion ends at the tip of your nose, thus are relevant to you. For the rest of us, it’s largely immaterial. The fact is, this is more truck than many actually need for personal use.
Pretty stupid comment, different people require different needs. I personally don't understand why people try to tell people that a certain car or truck is not practical because they think that way. There are alot of people that aren't needing to tow massive trailers, maybe they just want a truck like this for hauling small loads and don't want to buy an suv to do it.
@@rickgarcia8481 I've read an excellent article that reinforces many of your points. I especially like the section heading toward the middle of the article that states "Once upon a time, every truck was Maverick-sized." Here is the link: www.insidehook.com/lifestyle/americans-obsessed-wrong-trucks-ford-maverick I really like the way it presents these facts: "It might shock you to find out that the compact Maverick’s 200 inches of overall length puts it smack dab in the middle of a 1985 F-150 short bed (192 inches) and long bed (208 inches), while its 72.6 inches of width give it a broader countenance than its ostensibly full-size predecessor." I did my own research and found that, compared to a 1985 F-150 with standard cab and short bed, my Maverick has greater dimensions in wheelbase, length, and width. Additionally, many other stats are greater because it is a modern vehicle. Granted, the bed is not huge and the towing capacity is less than the 7,500 lbs of that classic F-150, but I personally don't need either of those features for my daily driver. Here is a link to a humorous video from Engineering Explained that presents excellent facts about the Maverick and includes some jokes about the "truck/not a truck" points of view. ruclips.net/video/CcpaS7RO-qk/видео.htmlsi=o0cFJC9K5y0GwJmH
It's a pickup truck. I've used mine to haul bags of sand, bricks, mulch, scrap steel, brush, etc. Saying the Maverick isn't a pickup is like saying a Honda Odyssey isn't a van. There is no rule that a pickup has to be built on a frame.
You can usually beat the EPA numbers. At one time we never got close to their estimates but they are a lot more accurate today
