Thank you for not always doing farmhouse decor. I love how you vary designs, color, furniture, and the knickknacks. What a breath of fresh air you two bring to design. There I said it, I hope I didn’t turn off farmhouse decor aficionados.
I love love love Ben and Erin and being an interior decorator myself love almost every house she and Ben do because she uses so many different colors with so much warmth. Has anyone noticed that every one of the HGTV shows use grays and whites exclusively. I HATE GRAY!!!! Also we live about 2 hours from Laurel. There is no possibility of leaving doors open to the outside unless you want to be eaten alive by mosquitoes. Sorry- looks awesome but not practical. ❤️
I am disappointed, too, at all the “updates” I see in Zillow homes that have the same, dull, uninspired look of the GRAY products. Can anything be more bland? I’m not a fan of shocking color, but it’s as if everyone goes for the bulk products (flooring especially) available from Costco. 😤
As a woman from the South, I must agree with you. If there's a porch or patio that's not screened in, I'm out. Guess that's why I'm now living in New Mexico, no mosquitoes, no chiggers. No squirrels! 👍
Shower with Irish Spring real cheap for just you at $1.25 stores. Mosquitoes hate the citrus. Drop some crumbs of the soap into your boots, shoes, drawers.... no spiders.
I would agree to big doors only if they open up to a nice screened in porch! I hate bugs (mosquitos, gnats, flies. Wasps, bees etc). Or I want a screen on my French doors or sliding door to let fresh air in while keeping insects out!
I really liked this house. I'm not a fan of white quartz or marble in a kitchen. I think it makes the kitchen look sterile and I just think kitchens should pop with color but I do like this kitchen. It is very nice. Also, I love how the doors just open out to the backyard. Beautiful view.
Indian and Atlantic Oceans off the Cape of Goodhope, Cape Town, South Africa. And Atlantic and Pacific Oceans at the Cape Horn at the bottom of South America... Where 2 Oceans meet... 💙🌍🌎🌏💙
They’ll never be able to open up those big glass folding door unless they enclose the patio they open onto. BTW, quartz doesn’t hold up to “anything”; you need to be careful about placing hot pans on the countertop to avoid cracking it.
I’m not feeling it on this one. Everything is very beige/white/brown. Tile backsplash in the kitchen looks cheap. And I can’t imagine opening that huge backdoor in the South without it connecting to a screened-in porch. They are going to let all the bugs in.
How kind it is to make them a Jenga set and a corn hole set. What a gift. They made that house look cozily stunning. 🙂
Ben and Erin put so much love in everything they do in homes.

Love them SO much. Their relationship is my favorite thing about these two, and of course their FABULOUS work
It was obvious that they loved it. That's a great entertaining home.
I like your show. I watch it but as a deaf person I wish you would enable the Closed Captioning so I could read your commentary.

I love open concept. This looks fabulous.
I love the door that opens all the way to the backyard...yeees
I love the simple modern take on traditional styling. I love slate but porcelain is a good hard wearing substitute.

Why didnt they screen in the back porch? Or have a screened door?
What I don't like about accordion glass doors is that flies, wasps and bugs will get into the house. Even snakes!
I'm no fan of open concept either. But y'all did an amazing job as always!
I love open concept and yes it was an amazing job! Finding that pantry was fantastic!

I would have done something about that nasty step. Such a hazard.
Agreed. I foresee twisted ankles, especially after a few bottles of wine have been consumed when entertaining guests!
Eu não entendo nada só português
They are boring not watching
Wasn't a huge fan of the wife in this episode. Seemed a little snooty.
Nothing like an uppity, educated, confident woman, to offend an insecure, fragile man, eh?
