I love the reclaim and reuse. So many things and materials can be repurposed. The more people like yourselves show how well this can be done the more we can reduce perfectly good material from wasting away in our landfills and dumps. Bravo.
The homeowners are so darn cute. She gasps so dramatically at every turn. Lol. It's very obvious how much they truly love it. Their accents just add to it too. 🙂 I just love this show. I always appreciate the use of old and repurposed materials. They are truly a dynamic duo.
I love there show on TV. Ben with his sense of humor n the way Erin plays off that. Erin has a great sense of style n she uses it differently in each of the houses they remodel.
I love what Erin & Ben achieve and I've never seen a project of theirs I didn't like. I live in Iowa, and we cannot use any bare wood on an exterior here, since we have woodpeckers. If there's bare wood on a house here, you'll have woodpeckers pecking on the house spring, summer and fall. It's very noisy, not to mention damaging to the wood. Plus we have wood/mason bees which drill perfect round holes the width of their body (really astounding how perfectly round the holes are!). To prevent woodpecker and bee damage, ALL exterior wood on a structure here must be painted.
Ben & Erin~ every time you do another house you amaze me even more and MORE❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ your creativity in this house was over the top and I could not believe how much you took out of the house it was ugly and then you would re-planet or re-stain it or cut it and turn it into Beautiful Shaker shingles….The fireplace turned out amazing… After you painted it and then put that marvelous mantle which you made; you built a air-conditioning cover out of wood from your own shop that looked like a piece of furniture… I could go on and on about how marvelous you both are. Erin, the painting you made for them over the fireplace was SO PERSONAL & LOVELY~ oh what a special gift… You have an amazing talent♥️♥️♥️♥️ Last, the front door turned out marvelous and the two of you worked so well as a team and you definitely show people how you can stay within a budget and make things look expensive but find a new way to do something if you Schurch hard enough!! That front door turned out BEYOND STUNNING❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ Let’s not forget how clever you were to use the word Indy living room family room and re-purposed it out in the backyard in the Gazebo- type Of Relaxation area and installed a ceiling fan to draw your eyes upward and notice the Geometrical design You made with the refurbished Wood…SO BEAUTIFUL🌈❣️❣️❣️ God bless you both for all the love you put into the homes your remodel for your clients. Take care of yourselves♥️♥️ it’s obvious you love what you do and that you love each other and that shows in everything you do. I say this all the time but you are my favorite designers/remodelers. I wished I lived in your town💕💕💕💕💕
Oh my goodness, it’s absolutely gorgeous! I loved everything especially the custom front doors and the entire kitchen. I adore a White Kitchen! The homeowners were just lovely folks. (I loved her dress, l wonder where she bought it!) The only thing that drove me a little nuts, was the books were put in backwards! Is that something new? How are you supposed to read the title? I hope they’re not just there for decoration! That would be a little ridiculous! The outdoor space was stunning! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I think I read on her (Erins) twitter that they turn the books backwards for copyright reasons! In real life she keeps all her books spines out - as one should! :)
Some may say this is petty, but what they created from the cedar boards are shingles. Shakes are hand split and taper in thickness from the bottom to the top. They are also rougher in final texture. I know this because we used hand split cedar shakes on our house……4000 square feet of them.
I'm so surprised Americans put shingles on their rooves. In Europe we put that on garden sheds not on our houses. Here it's terra cotta tiles or slate tiles!
Are there going to be new episodes. You guys are great but I can’t watch anymore reruns. I think I’ve watched everything 3x’s. I really hope we see something new.
This is one of their better houses, though I think brick floors are never a good idea-I’d have swapped those for, well, pretty much anything. But the homeowners seem happy, especially the woman. The exaggerated gasp as she walks into every room… or maybe she has COPD?
Sempre quelle tende a quadri nere e bianche, praticamente tovaglie, che fantasia. Le hanno messe in più case e fanno schifo.e i lampadari sono orribili
my favourite thing about their work is they add a lot of custom pieces. it's quite neat when you can say only your home has this piece of furniture!
Everything they touch is gorgeous. They are rare in that everything they do does not look the same! Extremely talented couple!
I love when people appreciate Ben's extra efforts. ❤

I love how they make always such custom things. Absolut gorgeous.
okay, this is the second house that I've seen you design that has brick floors indoors and I am loving it!
"Thank goodness i don't recognize it. I would have been very disappointed if it looked familiar!" Hahaha!

This couple is so visionary and talented. Well done for another fine and beautiful makeover.
the joy in homeowners faces must be addictive

You guys are awesome 💕 I love watching your shows! ❤
Love the coastal house and how you always upscale and reuse what is at hand. The doors turned out amazing, and who doesn't love a good deal?! :)

I LOVE Ben & Erin's work!
This couple is the best, just love them!

Her gasps are so funny. Reminds me of my mum when shes shocked

apparently that's a new thing to make them look cohesive and clean. Rebecca Robson also does this. It only works if the "books are for looks", y'know?
That door and the use of the wood very creative
So inspiring. You two are such gifted creators.
I’m so glad she didn’t tear down all of the walls for that “open floor plan” look.

Never seen shakes made like that. They are thick one end tapering down on the other usually...
A reverse nail gun? Recycled wood, here I come!
Awesome
Is the furniture from the owners own collection or is all the furniture new and do the owners have to buy it all??
Seriously! Those cabinets couldn’t have been salvaged for Habitat for Humanity.
Gente, cadê as reprises de casa nova? Porquê não passam mais?
Are there going to be new episodes. You guys are great but I can’t watch anymore reruns. I think I’ve watched everything 3x’s. I really hope we see something new.

I personally love brick floors, they’re gorgeous, and when they’re done correctly, and I think Ben and Erin did it right, they’re still easy to clean.
@@caton_andrew Fair point; I just don’t like walking on them in bare feet.
@@drewconway7135 makes sense
They are very cool in the summer on bare feet. 👍😍
