Everyone talks about how unfinished this game is and how we should have just gotten Dinosaur Planet, but nobody talks about how darn atmospheric this game is. Even though it's a Gamecube game, it's still one of the most atmospheric and beautiful games I've seen, inclusing the likes of Subnautica and BoTW. I always loved exploring almost every locale in this game, from the bottom of the Well, to LightFoot Village, Moon Mountain Pass, Cape Claw, Krazoa palace, ALL of it. Kind of sucks that as you progress theough the game you get locked out of certain areas though, I remember having to keep multiple saves so I could actually revisit DarkIce Mines, CloudRunner Fortress, and both Force Point Temples lol, which unfortunately were my favorite places
For a GameCube game, its graphics hold up very well in some areas. Fox has visible 3D fur on his model while the game runs at a buttery-smooth 60fps - Rare was so ahead of time with their graphics from the NES up to the original Xbox. It took Nintendo until the Wii U to implement 3D fur on their character models.
I say it was better we got Star Fox instead of Dinosaur Planet. It let a franchise branch out to a different genre. The music and atmosphere is just perfection in this game.
I think it's a stock sound effect, actually. I'm pretty sure I heard that exact sound in a couple of other bits of media. But I first heard it in this game.
@@RoseSupreme Yeah its a stock sample. There are many others like the Bloops(bat reptile thingies) and the Fire blaster just to name a couple. Many of these were also used in N64 titles. Also some recognizable samples used in the music, f.ex Cape Claw music is from a sample library called Sounds of Africa vol.2. I think many of the drum samples are also from that same sample library or one like it, but Im not a 100% sure on that.
I always thought that this place would be calming, relaxing to visit. I’d just rest in the room with the pool watching the shadows reflect on the ceiling above.
If this was a real place i would live here, I'd probably go to a place in the temple where i can see the water reflecting off the walls and just meditate while listening to the sound of the water moving.

The little oasis outside the temple is one of the most relaxing places I've ever experienced in a video game

I love this game, as I do the entire Star Fox series. The Ocean Force Point Temple is beautiful. I played Star Fox Adventures when I was 12.

It’s paradise like. The turquoise waters and the waterfalls so beautiful. The music with it especially ocean force point makes this my favorite place

Puzzles weren't that bad, the aim control wasn't great.
You shouldve went to settings and put fox's voice down and the other audio up
