This theme feels as though one has visited a monk temple to overcome a trial for a purpose. There’s no desperation, but the theme gives a sense of completing.
The Test of Fear should really be called the Test of Concentration. Really the hardest part is focusing on the meter because of how distracting the cutscene is. XD
The test of fear "...You weren't scared, were you?" To this day I always find the test of fear to just be disturbing because it's the only test in the game where it has an exclusive CGI cuts scene if you loose and it's the only test in the game when you view it in your gallery it has that little quote below it. To this day I believe Fox McCloud as a character definitely suffers from some form of PTSD.

David Wise really has a knack for making such fitting music in places like a jungle, an arctic mountain, or even an ancient shrine! ^^
He's one of my favorite composers of all time. I mostly call him the master of atmosphere.
