- This is a NiGHTS into Dreams rework I did towards the end of 2009. This game is so special to me, but I wont get into that here. This is one of the first videos I did with a REAL intro...anyways...
Here's the original description I had for it on my "A Emcee Muzik" page when it was around :
My rendition of Reala's theme/boss music from NiGHTS into Dreams/Journey of Dreams. This is my tribute to what probably is my favorite video game of all time (the first one for Sega Saturn...NOT the Wii sequal). There was just something special about the original back when I got it in the 90's, its the only game I played for 8 hours non stop....no joke (I did not get how to beat Jackle lol). The music, concept, charaters...everything was amazing (given the graphics were not the best, but that didnt matter, they still looked great). Anyways, the concept for this ReMiX...was really supposed to be only Reala's theme song, but I ended up including a snippet of my cancelled ReMiX for "Dreams, Dreams" in the intro. I wanted to put the vibe of the kids and NiGHTS into this somehow (since thats what the game was really based on). On Reala's theme part... I did not want to make it too jazzy or rock -ish...because sega made 2 versions like that already, AND the musicians on both of them were amazing, the tracks were almost like improv jam sessions. I tried to make this rendition haunting, upbeat and relaxing at the same time. The music honestly reminds me of Megaman...but oh well, too late to change that, if its a bad thing. The chord progressions I use change up often throughout, tried to make it like a ride. As for the video, I enjoyed making it (except for the cropping part)...I feel that with each video I do, I get better in Sony Vegas. I used JOD artwork instead of the NID ones becuase...they work out ALOT better for what I wanted to do lol (HD up to date look). I hope you all enjoy this track!
And on a side note, I feel that Reala is the true inspiration for Shadow the Hedgehog...if you dont see it, just look at their relations with their doppleganger counterparts.

I will never forget this. Seems like me listening to this 9 years ago was just last week. Truly a memorable rendition of a memorable song in a memorable series.
I listened to this when I was young too, this carries a huge amount of memories for me. I love this remix so much, its probably my favorite song of all time.
I love this! I like how it starts off happy and peaceful and then breaks away into something threatening.
If I didn't see the title or the video and heard this I would have thought that this was a OcRemix but they didn't make it.Well done my favorite part of the song is 1:46 to 2:13
For some odd reason, when I came across this song, it had me thinking of space shuttles and dreaming.

But seriously, I enjoy this theme. The way it started to the way it shifted and slowly built up until it mellowed out. It's very professional to the point where I could imagine this as trailer music and see the events play out... Oh! Or even event music in a game.

wish there were more remixes of this song but happy with any remix I find, this one is very different from the rest in a good way

Never played the game myself, but I am familar with it's music a little. I like how you mixed in another one of the games soundtrack in the beginning.
I went and look for the original soundtrack to compare it with your remix. The original (if I found the right one) sounded really jazzy and rock n roll like.

This one was a bit different from your usual works. I see how you diversified your chords. But i DO have to admit that I liked the beginning bit more than the revenge. Thats just my taste, though. You still fly. :)

in the part where in changes for the first few seconds remined me of Lavender Town
For a second there I thought it was going to turn into His World from sonic 06.
The melodic sequence that begins at 00:49 and ends at 01:20 why can't I hear that part in the original anymore? I'm sure it was always there. Have I gone mad?
