- Cape Claw from Star Fox Adventures, remastered to full CD quality, using the original source synths and samples!
This remaster comes to us, thanks to long time channel contributor, michael02022! michael02022 is a big fan of Star Fox Adventures and Dinosaur Planet (the original form of Star Fox Adventures), and has been rather eager to work on these games for a long while. I told him if he could do at least 3 songs, we can put it on the channel. Lo and behold, after some time, he's managed to get some songs done, with some rather good results, if I were to say so myself. The GameCube ports of these songs always did come off as rough, to my ears, so to have these remastered versions is fantastic! I want to thank michael02022 for working so hard on getting these done, and turning around results that I am sure will please fans of this game, and David Wise's other work.

Fun Fact of the Day:
The tribal chanting is an audio sample originally from Spectrasonic's Heart of Africa Volume 2 Sound Library.
I'd like to add that this chant appears in another song in the game: Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 named; Bush Baby
1:10 The flute sounds so clean. Also I think it's the same sample from Diddy Kong Racing. Same composer after all.
I know they couldn't have because of the lack of space on those bedamned mini-discs, but I'm surprised that David Wise and Ben Cullum weren't using real instruments for this game, the samples are so good.
Most of their stuff is taken from sample discs from real instruments. The choir in this is from a music of Africa disk. There's also a lot of other musical queues that are entirely just a sampled track as well, just placed in such a way that it sounds as if it were made specifically for the song. If im not mistaken, the main drum bits in this are real recordings from the same music of Africa cd. All of it is just another part of that David Wise magic.
@@wantedwario2621 Yes, many samples were taken from "Heart of Africa", a very famous sample CD. The main chant from this Cape Claw track also appears on the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 soundtrack - this CD was ubiquitous in the early 2000s!
Jurrasic park, Lion king, Star fox disney, nintendo, 1990's, golden times, golden memories. This sound definitely falls in under that era of time, and the flutes! Great work on remaster btw! awesome!
i have such a bias for the crustiness of the N64 versions of the SFA/DP tracks that i honestly never even considered how they'd sound in "studio" fidelity, but holy SHIT this sounds masterful. absolutely gorgeous!

This calms me to no end I think it’s because I replayed cape claw so much as a kid because I didn’t have a memory card lol
I played this game for the first time earlier this year. And once I got to this track, I instantly recognized the pan flute to being the one used in Diddy Kong Racing. Then that's when I realized, "Wait, did David Wise compose for this game?"
Sure enough, by the time I got to the credits, there was his name.
It's his best work.
Now let's think. Imagine you are on a beach all of white sand, you are walking by the ocean hearing the sound of the tropical bird while the hot sun shine throughout the blue cloudless sky. You realize that all you will find here is peace and serenity. While the waves are gently dancing on your feet, you think of how different it is from your homeworld: Corneria. As you close your eyes and breath the pure air of the planet, you figure out that all of this is in danger. You remember why you have been here and you promize to yourself: no one will ever break this wonder, as long as im here to protect it...
Do you think fox had the same thought?

I love this game I used to play it when I was a kid when it first came out I bought it off ebay the other day I'm gonna make some videos of me playing it soon 🙏🙏🙏🔥😁I used to play it with a good friend I wish I could play it with him again he was murdered last year it makes me feel Good when I listen to this soundtrack 🙏
I’d like for Star Fox Adventures to one day get a 4K remaster with AI enhanced textures and the soundtrack in its uncompressed glory on the next Nintendo platform (after Switch).
Someone made a 1080p HD upscale texture pack romhack for Star Fox Adventures. If you have the rom, you can install the romhack over it and play in HD. Also, if you didn't know, someone made a romhack of Star Fox Adventures that lets you play as Krystal. It includes some other QOL goodies, like a noclip, map selector, and memory editor. It's pretty neat. You can combine both romhacks for a pseudo remaster experience.
Fun fact, the chanting sample used for this song is also present in the Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 OST - "Bush Baby"
Cape claw is my favorite place in Dinosaur Planet.
That theme definitely gives me that tropical tribal feeling.

I compare this song to "We Are One" from The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride... If you listen to both songs they sound almost similar.
You should do some dinosaur planet exclusive songs.
Anyone else think of Cape Claw when they watched "Avatar: The Way of Water"? I'm sitting in the the theater thinking that Jake Sully and his family are moving to Cape Claw based on the design of the native Navi's homes, beach setting, and peacefulness among the creatures.

When are we going to see the rest of the soundtrack be remastered there's still Ocean Force Point Temple and Snowhorn Wastes that need justice haha
