- Please be aware that this is by no means every cutscene in the game. There may have been some that I have missed, hasn't been discovered yet or not available at all in this ROM. Please note as this is not 100% in chronological order. Big shoutout and thanks to all the folk at the Dinosaur Planet discord for their hard work and discoveries. Enjoy!
This adds so much context for stuff that didn't make much sense in Star Fox Adventures.
Someone should make a fan mod expansion. Know anyone who might be interested.

That's alot of voiced cutscenes for a n64 game. Just like Conker, it is quite impressive.
Even Perfect Dark had quite a lot of voice acting too.
Someday I hope all will be revealed. Such a lovely misplaced gem.
Saddly this beta can't be played all along and the majority of cinematics can't be triggered normally. I hope some talented programmers will solve and build up a new rom to release like what it was intended to be!
I pray someone can put it together. There's are many smart people out there that possibly can.

As someone who actually likes Star Fox Adventures, DP had been the holy grail of lost media for me for almost 20 years. It's wonderful to finally have it in a playable form.
The guy who voiced Starfox in Starfox Adventure was actually the voice actor for Sabre. They just carried him over to Starfox Adventure and he became the voice of Starfox as we know him today.
Tricky and Shabunga (shopkeeper) are the same too. But it appears almost everyone else is different.
@@dirtypms Its like two games were mashed into one. That's why some of the reasons StarFox Adventure doesnt work. This version of the game though looks more realised as a whole. Except for StarFox being plastered over Sabre in this build.
@@dirtypms Shabunga is my favourite character by the way. That voice is built into me now. It was so catchy and easy to do yourself. Perfect! Character and design.
His name's just fox.

This is already so much better story-wise than SFA. I would have loved to play Dinosaur Planet.
Drakor not only works as Dinosaur Planet's villain, but I can see him being the main antagonist of a new Star Fox game. Why did they make him mindless in Adventures?

@@user-ie4et8oe2w The Microsoft buyout. The game literally came out the day before Microsoft acquired Rare, so they had to rush through a lot of stuff they planned for SFA, which itself cut a lot of DP content.
Honestly, a couple of Star Fox fans can do a much better job than people who created the game.

Really weird that the earthwalker king knows James let alone know how to contact Pepper.

The Ammount of Lore in this Game could've set up a whole new saga for Starfox to pursue well without Andross!
Now I'm sad that the Series will remain stuck on 64's Story...

Perhaps one day we will be able to have a group of fans finish what was started here and dump it all online later, of course it'd also require some of the design documents of the original plan so we could have the best possible recreation of this game
There's actually a full script of the story roaming around the internet, with lots of characters' infos, unused textures that are now being implemented to the game (sabre is almost fully playable)... People theorize that the entire game is within the N64 ROM that was released some weeks ago so, I'm more than sure we'll play the full thing... Or maybe Rare will have something to say about it.
I wonder if Sabre and Krystal were ever going to meet or interact in the original version of the story. If they did, I'd wonder if there is any possible elements of this left in this particular ROM. Maybe not if Fox replaces Sabre here. But who knows.
They sadly didn't intereact in the script (except before the game took place) so my guess is they wouldn't intereact at all. There is curious voice line tho present that seems to be in Sabre's head telling Crystal ''his father should have left you for dead'' so maybe there's hope they interact in a Krazoa Shrine!
@@furustukeki479 Well that explains it, Thanks for the info. It is a shame though, would've been interesting if Sabre and Krystal had more of a dynamic in the story, but then again, I don't know how far the story progressed before the switch to Star Fox adventures or if there was even supposed to be a character dynamic between them at all.

Remember how Randorn said "Maybe the history of the planet was wrong"?" Well, it's like when we experienced the story of Starfox Adventures, it was quite different from the original story of Dinosaur Planet. When the early build of Dinosaur Planet was discovered, we saw that the "ancient texts" of the final game were hiding something. Maybe the history of Dinosaur planet told by Starfox Adventures was wrong...and the new "ancient texts" of the beta held the keys to the true story...
Drakor would have been so much better than Andross. No offense. But the Star Fox Adventures version of Andross wasn't that memorable and he felt like he was put in there in the last minute which he most likely was.
Honestly, a couple of Star Fox fans can do a much better job than people who created the game, or if they ever make a Star Fox Adventure reboot, they should try to be more like Dinosaur Planet, add something new to the story to be more interesting, and not screw it up like Star Fox Zero.
Yeah as someone who’s introduction to Star Fox was Adventures, it’s totally out of left field. You mean to tell me the main antagonist of this wasn’t General Scales who has been hyped up this whole game or a dragon demon but some giant floating monkey head in space?

Wish Fox could've been swapped for Sabre in the cutscenes.
Fun fact: the most recent fan-made patch as of July 2022, referred to as "Dinomod Extended," includes a complete restoration of Sabre's original dialogue and model, along with numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to grant the game a more optimal performance for both emulators and real hardware.

Man, that story is so beautiful. I wish that game exist as an official cartridge.
Fox could have chased Drakor in his Arwing while Krystal could have fought against General Scales in their final Boss Fights.
If only Microsoft didn't buy RARE that forced those changes in the final 3 months of the Game's Development.
In the original script, Fox wasn't supposed to be in the original project so no airwings in the end. They just applied a Fox model instead of Sabre in this version to test it for the futur changes of the game. It s an interesting bêta because it is a transition period. The game project has been removed in favor of the gamecube so it seems the N64 développement of the game has been stopped not so long after this built.
Hopefully they can fix the entire rom to make it fully playable!

Krystal is definitely voiced by Eveline Fischer, who not only did music work for games like Donkey Kong Country 3, but was also the voice of Joana Dark in Perfect Dark
I'm pretty sure Chief Lightfoot (28:03 and 28:48) and Rocky (21:43) are voiced by Chris Seavor since they sound like characters he voiced in Conker's Bad Fur Day. While Chris did voice the Chief in Star Fox Adventures (newly recorded dialogue) The Warp Stone (only one now and uses Rubble's design) is voiced by John Silke who also voiced Sabre Man in the Sabre Wulf GBA game as well as Mr. Pants in It's Mr. Pants.
and lastly, Sabre/Fox Mcloud is voiced by Steve Malpass, who also did the voice of Elvis the Alien in Perfect Dark
Drakor boss battle needs fixing... I like to see that and the ending of the game
It can be seen better on this video with Sabre's voice lines as well : ruclips.net/video/iY4hp-yA-Y8/видео.html. We hope to have an ending of the game, but at the moment the last temple is not completed and a lot of the end part of the game moments are either not present or not working correctly.

Is it true on ebay someone or somebody from the rareware community or company modifiny dinosaur planet n64 game and selling pre order and then shipping out by the end of March 2021?
Also will they keep making more of them?
@@christinanightwolf2260 I wouldn't trust anything on ebay at this point. We have a Discord getting information on the prototype and it's really not advanced (A lot of sequence breaks and unfinished sections) even though a lot have been found at the moment - a decompiling project has started but I wouldn't buy a physical copy of the game before next year to let time at least to fix the most of it and get it running smootly.
@Camille Dion-Boldoc okay I understand just been a fan of this work on starfox adventures and dinosaur planet n64.
Just never got a chance to play it is all and it said on the ebay seller description says that the community is modifying the dinosaur planet n64 game and making it beatable and is from salt lake city Utah USA from the shipping from FedEx.
Idk which community it is but, it says it's a pre order and then all 13 orders were made by the buyers from the seller.
Also are you one of the community of rareware if I may ask?
I think there 50 of them before they bought 15 of them now only 35 left of them.
The seller on ebay of the dinosaur planet n64 game from salt lake Utah USA has blocked me as the buyer and can't get the game now and had to use my other ebay account to buy it later.
I just was asking some questions about the item and all and if they can continue making them from the community and the seller was being very rude to me and just found out this evening.
This is not how to treat ebay buyers if they have every right to question them about the item and very understanding if they are busy making it of modifying it.
I suggest everyone on ebay as the buyers don't talk to the seller retroragitsakgames, if he is busy with the game he will block you and won't be able to buy it if he does that and it is not the way to handle with the buyer and should've answered the question to make time to talk...

@@user-ie4et8oe2w Well, considering some of the diologue in the SFA Demo Disc dump some years ago, he is probably nothing more then a means to an end for Drakor. The line being "It is not Scales, he is merely a pawn for the real evil behind this, A Kamerian Dragon"

so the tigered character we see in that one low quality VHS footage is sabre but was replaced by fox in a newer build before the entire game was remade into a starfox game, am i getting this right?

Is krystals voice actor the same as Joanna darks from perfect dark? sounds like it to me
I think so too. That would be Eveline Fischer. She worked at Rare as a musical composer on games like Donkey Kong Country 1, DKC 3, DK Land 3, Perfect Dark, and Conker's Pocket Tales. Not only did she voice Joanna Dark, but also Pipsy in Diddy Kong Racing, Vela in Jet Force Gemini, a few characters in Donkey Kong 64, and a few other roles.
52:11 Klanadack is King RedEye's name in this game, so I wonder if that was meant to be Galdon's name at some point, or maybe I'm missing something here.
Possibly, Garunda Te did mention how he sealed Klanadack behind a frozen waterfall, which wouldn't make sense if he was the RedEye King. But if he was the first Spellstone boss, then the dialogue lines up. An error that was never worked out since they never completed the game.

The game itself has a lot of bugs. If it was resolved, there would be many cutscenes that we couldn't find.
Well if this game gets a rom hack where it's to remove a lot of bugs to make it a fully playable game, than we'll get these cutscenes.
