Thank you. I bought the "ngu" just now and was clueless as to what it actually is before I use it. I literally watched this video just to see if the blogger used it but was disappointed she used the typical potash. I'm happy you miraculously answered my question. Cheers!!
I'm a Ghanaian in Italy but will definitely try this bcos of Mercy Johnson. She loved it in one of her movies... Hope to get all the ingredients.. Thankx so much
I always enjoy your cooking... I love abacha, my mum would say am pregnant for it. Tho am a Yoruba lady but I so love abacha, been looking for who would teach me... Thanks for this, definitely making this soon.❤❤
Hello Zeelicious family, you'll not believe the trance I ventured on just by watching Winnie prepare this delicacy. I remember the good old day when my grandmom (God rest her soul) prepare this in her pretty amazing mortar. Thanks Winnie.
Thanks, just made the most delicious Abacha I have ever made with your help. Though instead of Potash I used Ogiri n prepared veg(Spinach) separate with ginger, crayfish, garlic, dried fish n onions and then put fresh tomato while serving
You are in spirirt! This video camera at the time I need it the most! I have been so desperate to learn it😩. I went to the extent of messaging other RUclipsrs for the recipe. Thank you so much you sharing.
Wow you've make my day a Great one Coz am really dieing to know how to make this abacha although am a yoruba girl but it been a long time i want to give it a teast tenk u so much moreover i love ur outfit expecally ur hair

I miss you so much my love, is been a while here... Hello to all zeelicious family hope the weekend is going good . This will differently be good for Sunday evening with a chilled palm wine😋😋😋😋.. Love you all zeelicious family worldwide. 🔐🔐
Thank you Winnie see how God works oh! It just strike my mind to learn how to make abacha last week, and I have been looking for who to teach me. This a miracle! thank you, your videos are always upnotch, glad to be part of the Zeelicious family.
Thank you so much for this recipe. From my observation, you didn't use Ogiri and Ehuru. Thought Ogiri nd Ehuru re sole ingredients in making nice Abacha but I'd give this procedure a try✨
You did well, but soaking abacha in boiled water for that long isn’t a wise choice though. Next time, leave it for just a few seconds and rinse off immediately. It will still feel strong but will soften by the time you are ready to use…. This way, the abacha won’t soak up water and feel too soft or watery… Trust me, you will see the difference when you try it this way…
There is an alternative to potash ma’am you can either use ash same way you dissolved the potash you do same to the ash. And if you don’t want a swollen abacha you can soak with cold water instead of hot and allow for some minutes then it comes out slimmer
This is absolutely beautiful. Ndi Igbo kwezue nu oooo
Pp
Hey!
I'm a Ghanaian 🇬🇭 n hv been watching nigerian movie since childhood and I've been craving for it so badly. Thanks for the recipe 😘 😋 😀
In maiduguri, when I make dz, it's always like a Christmas meal for everyone at home... Nothing like abacha oooooo
I am Malaysia , but my husband is Igbo so his favourite food ..😙
Shafiq I am sure he is treating you very well, they make good husband. 💯
Igbos are great husband ooo, thank you for marrying us
Nice
Ngu is actually a healthier substitute to edible potash. Potash purges some people but ngu doesn’t. Try ngu next time and you will love it.
What’s ngu please?
Hi Zeelicious, there is alternative to potash. It’s called ngu or ash. It’s made from burnt dried palm frond and plam nut thorns
And ngu is healthier than potash
Thank you. I bought the "ngu" just now and was clueless as to what it actually is before I use it. I literally watched this video just to see if the blogger used it but was disappointed she used the typical potash. I'm happy you miraculously answered my question. Cheers!!
@@onyinyecelestine3895 what you use is the water not the ash
I never use potash because my stomach does not agree with it. Ngu is just perfect
I'm a Ghanaian in Italy but will definitely try this bcos of Mercy Johnson. She loved it in one of her movies... Hope to get all the ingredients.. Thankx so much

Lovely babes you really help every time I need new taste and would love to be in the kitchen with you some day.
There is substitute of potash and it is even better than potash, they call it Ngu . Nice meal
There is subtitude for potash... I don't know the English name but in Igbo itz called NGO...
Another subtitude is ash plantain, very healthy
@@giftyonyii9436 I'd rather use ncha. But how do they prepare ash plantain?
you can use baking soda
Ngu or ncha.. That's what we use in my village
Is called potash
