Most pro framers would not have spr*y glue on the premises. It is strictly a temporary method. Give it a few weeks and your nice photo will have bumps all over it and be totally ruined. OK, it's quick and easy, but like most quick and easy things it doesn't last.
This aproach doesn't allow the photo paper to breath and can cause warping of the photo in varying temperatures. An alternative method is to 'hang' the photo, using picture tape, from the top of the mount on the underside that allows the photo to expand and contract with the ambient temperature.
spray glue? glue stick? i dont think so unless you want a mess. heres a better more exact way. use 3m 2 sided tape. If using a double mat tape the edge of the back of the photo to the mat nearest the photo if using a double mat. That way you can assure the photo is straight in the mat with no crooked edges or corners sticking up from under the mat. After checking the fit THEN use the 2 sided tape on the mounting board, not the photo. That way if there is a bubble or tape doubled up you can take it up without worrying about ripping or damaging the photo. Now position everything together and put in the frame. The tape is much more permanent. 3M used to make double sided sheets but i cant find them anymore. Spray glue, what a nightmare!!
Really Rich? C'mon already... Leave teaching to someone that knows what they are doing. Good try but do us a favor and do something else with your time.
