I meant to add a p.s. to my comment. I love your videos. They are down to earth, very informative, your furniture looks fantastic, and last--your little laugh when you're talking.
Love the tips but also missing your furniture pieces since they always are inspiring. Keep it all up! Was missing your posts. Thanks for all your work and time it takes to film and edit your projects.
Great video! I love these hacks! My favorite one is the magnetic hooks since I tend to have wet paintbrushes floating around the kitchen. My own hack for sitting on the floor is a giant pillow. It has become the furniture pillow lol, I got it from Walmart for about $19.99. Thanks for sharing! 💚
This is great!!! Love it! You have the best hacks and I am so grateful to you for sharing your knowledge and experience!!!! Yes to more parts of the series!!!!!!
Hi Shannon, I painted a hutch black. I mixed half paint and half topcoat for my paint coat. Can I add a layer of wax on top of a clear coat finish? I want to add some extra protection to a shelf in hutch. Dishes seem to scratch easily.
I have the $20 round stool from Harbor freight and I have used it to paint every piece of furniture I’ve painted in the past seven years and even used it doing demolition on a flip house. It’s one of my favorite tools I own. Well worth $20.
I use my daughter’s old worn out computer desk chair. It won’t stay up anymore, but it doesn’t have to, right? It rolls and swivels, so it’s perfect for my needs. Cost $0. Perfect
Thanks for your tips, I definitely would try them out. I have just started my first project but as I am a bit lazy I figured out your last tip somehow, but the other 4 are definitely great. Thanks
You need a massage table lift to put your furniture pieces on. You can attach a table top or a board on it. Also you deserve the rolling seat. It can hold all the items you use often. One good furniture flip will pay for both. You do enough makeovers for it to be worth it.
I picked up an office chair for a couple of dollars at a thrift store and took the back of it off. It doesn’t have a handy tray under it but it works great for sliding around my garage and sitting to paint.
I am so with you on being "cheap".. But I do have a good back for you instead of your stool....tractor supply gets in trailers and they use styrofoam blocks for spacers. They throw them away, but if you ask they will usually let you dumpster dive for them or they will hold you a few. The blocks are rectangular which gives you 2 in 1, a high stool and a low stool. 💜😁 Your hacks are awesome sauce, thanks for sharing. 😘
Hey can you PLEASE do a video on how to organise your workspace and what supplies you have on hand all the time? I find myself getting so messy and confused and getting frustrated at not having stuff I need to hand. Thanks!
Hi This is with regards to your video of gel stain over paint. Its been a whole day since I put the gel stain and used the whisk broom method on my painted coffee table and the gel stain has not dried yet.. should I be worried?
Great video!! Love the magnet hack, I’m a cheapskate also 😂 I do have a mechanic’s rolling round stool and it’s a must Shannon!! I like the stool cause the height it’s adjustable and it swivels too, so I’m always using it.
Freakin Genius! Thanks!! Yes to part 3! I've been wanting a rolly chair. I had one guy buy a kids office chair from me but he removed the back. I wish I hadn't sold it to him. Haha
I was just sharing that I use my daughter’s old one, when I scrolled down and saw your comment. Find yourself another one at a yard sale for a couple $$. I love it, and I get to lean back and rest my back (I’m old 😅).
Those are some great hacks! I will definitely be incorporating some of them! I have a question, please. I am making over an old wood chest of drawers. The drawers are a little sticky, but they are on a wood rail rather than a metal one. Any suggestions how I could make them pull out more smoothly? I thought about the wax, but do you think the wood would just absorb the wax and still stick? Thank you so much! Oh, and yes, please, for a part 3... and 4... :)
I would try some dry spray lube like in this video or another type first and if that doesn’t work then use some wax, if that doesn’t work you may need to sand the sticking part down a bit ❤️
Oh, yes, please! Part 3! Great and simple ideas. Thank you! - Jill
OMWORD!!! I feel so “duh” 😂 I am sooooo not smart with short cuts!!! PLEASE do more and thanks for sharing! 💖

You totally can, I’ve done that many times for various reasons and had great results.

Add furniture glider slider on the bottom of little white stool , you can glue several foam knee pads together that really helps.
