    I love this I mentioned liquid sandpaper on another furniture flipprers channel and was shot down hard- they could not believe I mentioned it😁 I used it when repainting my bedroom base boards 15 years ago to prevent sanding dust in my house and guess what they have held up after 15 years

    Yes please to part 2! I too use bread bags. 😃 I have a tip that I've never seen anyone else use. 8" mini silicone kitchen spatulas to stir paint. Omg they do such a fantastic job of fast mixing & you know you've got all the stuff off the bottom of the can which is so important with topcoats & stains! I've never seen them here in NZ so I got mine on Aliexpress for $2 including postage! I like the ones that are just made from 1 piece of silicone - so no crevices for paint to hide in. Being silicone, the paint rinses off in seconds.

    Great tips! Love links of the things you recommend, such as the liquid sand paper (where to buy?) and wood filler. Is sand deglosser (Jassco) the same as the liquid sand paper? Interested on how to use it? Is it necessary to rinse after the liquid sanding? This is perfect. I have a couple of amours too large to move outside and I've not started because I don't want to get dust everywhere. Yes, more tips please! Thanks you

    For the paint trays, any size, we use Glad Press N Seal. Not exactly the cheapest but it works fantastic and easier to form to any size tray.
    Great hacks!!!

      I also wrap wet paint brushes, rollers and roller trays in Press-&-Seal, especially handy when returning to that project within a week. For me my time has value, less time cleaning tools = more time for painting and life in general.

    I have ADHD and love to paint so just finding out about using alcohol for dried out brushes and having a ‘chuck it bucket’ is LIFE CHANGING!! I have wrecked so many brushes/supplies because I forget they exist. The Ramen caddy with jars is the best. Right now I have a small basket I throw everything into. Please do part 2! Make it a whole miniseries!

    There’s a good paint pouring hack that uses 1 1/2 inch tape in a “v” pattern on the paint can to create a quick funnel. Pour the paint, remove the tape, throw it away and you’re done.

    Is that liquid sandpaper good for melamine shelves or furniture? I just went through heck for a lady who wanted her white shelves painted the same color as her walls. So she gave me the latex paint to use. I was experimenting with primer but the paint just peeled off in sheets. BTW For your paint brushes - if you glue some magnets around the bucket you can stick your brushes on the magnet so the ferrule of the brush isn't soaking in water. When you empty the bucket they can hang and dry there.

      What is liquid sand paper?

    • @trudyeby464
      @trudyeby464 2 года назад

      @@joanndesanto6982 It is a chemical that softens the paint to let the new paint adhere so you can skip the sanding and priming. It won't take care of lumps, bumps or chips though. You still have to sand those smooth.

    I've never painted a piece of furniture, but we inherited a beat-up (but potentially very pretty) buffet table, and I'd like to follow your tips and directions and paint it! I'm thinking of painting it an off-white color. Do you have a favorite, go-to off-white paint color that you like to use? Also the buffet table is a yucky brown. Would I need to prime it first? (or maybe the paint has primer in it?). I love watching your videos! You explain things simply, and your work is beautiful! Thanks! Lesa
