I’ll go first:
I’m Christina, a public high school i teacher, turned homeschooling mom, turned middle school English teacher at a small Christian school. I’m hybrid homeschooling + Christian-schooling 5 kids (ages 1, 2, 6, 10, & 13).
I love the Charlotte Mason homeschooling approach, and many others, but I’d say I’m more of an eclectic homeschooler-mixing the different aspects of homeschool styles that I love-living books, literature-based learning, Montessori, and so much more!
Just as I brought what I learned through teaching into homeschooling, I am so excited to bring what I’ve learned homeschooling back into teaching!
Whether you are considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, considering alternative ways to educate your child, or just looking for some encouragement and inspiration for your motherhood journey, I hope you feel welcome and encouraged here 🤍

I like calling it a family basket. We have one but it’s not restricted to mornings. That music study sounds really cool.

Love the basket! We have a Kindergartener and tot so we have broken our basket into two segments.
Over breakfast: Poem for the day, calendar, poetry recitation/math flashcards, current read aloud book.
Over morning snack (which falls after our hour of outside play): Bible, Scripture/catechism, and then we loop (one daily) of either OT Books Song, NT Books Song, daily affirmation (from Jaimie as well), days of creation song, or missionaries prayer:)
We did MB all last year, but had it combined and I have found breaking it up is perfect for us! We are on week 7 of this school year so I think we've found a sweet spot.

We don't call it morning basket since I've never had a basket, we just call it Together Time. We do a prayer, Bible Memory verse, Five in a Row, Laying Down the Rails, and Notgrass history, science, and on different days we do Spanish, music, art, and catechism. And sometimes we may do family read alouds but usually we do those in the car or in the evening.
Love that! We used to not have a basket and just called it Family Time!
Love Jamie's affirmations! We use that in the mornings as well. It's so beautiful and empowering. This is a great selection to start off a good day! 💕💕

I have the HP office jet 4650 with an instant ink subscription and I love it, but I know lots of homeschool mamas swear by the Epson eco tank as well!
