Square Enix doesn't own Eidos and by extension deus ex anymore square sold all their western studios to embracer group which is a much worse fate since they cancelled a deus ex game a couple years back and the adam jensen sequel was already shelved by square after MD failed sales expectations
This is proof that video "games" are nearly surpassing movies and books as a superior media form. They have an equal or greater ability to tell a story, create connections with believable characters and worlds, and to combine many forms of art (music, video, acting, etc) into one massive, interactive, compelling art form. I NEED this game! :)

It could’ve been part of the gta meta verse itself alongside the cyberpunk universe where the crash of 94 did happen and an economic collapse and social unrest helped push to create the age of cybernetics.
That is one fantastic looking trailer. I loved the original game. It combined FPS with RPG near perfectly. The 2nd title was a bit let down, so fingers crossed Eidos have learned from their previous mistakes and deliver us a quality game.
@PrFiasco It's Latin, the first game was Deus Ex Machina, which translates to "God as a machine," the phrase was first used in theater, where a contraption was used to raise the actor into the air, to make them apear as if they were flying, like a god.
@MrYoseef If im not mistaken it will be first person and in some not so important situations it will be third person along with all rpg and sneaker elements
@doomas9 The track's made by the composser of the game's ost, so it's not published yet. The developers said that they will reveal his name later this year, probably at the E3 event. Dunno if the ost is going to be leaked before the release of the game.
Wow this looks really good. The music kind of sounded like a different version of Freedom Fighters by Two Steps from Hell at moments. I'll be looking forward to this game.

@meerkatdon Well the thing is that it wasnt Eidos that made the game. It was Ion Storm that made the first two. So the question is if we can trust Square Enix to make a good Deus Ex game, so far Im going to be very cautious about it.
@royer0008 it's a sandbox rpg / shooter / stealth game... there are a wide berth of abilities to choose from; you can choose to specialise in skills that cater to your play-style. Think "Alpha Protocol".

The original deus ex is a classic that i often revisit, this new game looks absolutely incredible.
