Using a Haptic Suit in BREACHERS VR.

- If you're new here, hi! I'm Virtual Bro and I specialize in recommending the best VR games and accessories that are actually worth your time.
In this video I had the opportunity to try out the bHaptics X40 and the Tactosy Arms Sleeves in BREACHERS. For those who don't know, Breachers is like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege but IN VR. And haptics is the technology of FEELING simulated things. Think of those suits in Ready Player One, or the haptic triggers of the PS5 DualSense Controller. By connecting these accessories to my VR headset via Bluetooth, I can literally FEEL the recoil of my weapons, or the pulse of my heartbeat at low health.
Haptic technology is truly the future of VR. Huge thanks to Impact Reality for sponsoring this video and hooking me up with these bHaptics products to try!
Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to create a complete review of these products so this video is mostly my first impressions. But I hope to continue testing these haptics in various games over the coming weeks! Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss those videos! And feel free to comment any games you think I should cover :) - Игры
I'm gonna build a machine for vr. Instead of haptics or electrodes it's a machine you stand in the middle of and shoots metal bbs for light feedback and fires a pneumatic punching glove for heavy feedback. I think it will be a seller.
Make sure to throw in an optional Mike Tyson mode (50lb punching glove @ 15km/h)
For immersion of course
@@hufismissing Just what I was needing for the explosion effect. Might need enough to cover a body on all sides though. Easier than the Chuck Norris Kick mode I was thinking of.
Remember the mechanical foot for a swift kick in the coconuts
I went to a tech convention once
There was a booth for haptic suits and I remember this one OXO suit or something
The tech demo had gunshots, water, and knives
Some of the freakiest stuff I’ve ever experienced, I could feel a bullet enter and exit
Some of the craziest vr tech haptics are
for people who want to look it up, it's called the OWO suit
Plot twist they actually shot you
I love my oWo suite... best haptics in my opinion.
I have one of these, here's my review.....
It doesn't add to immersion. It doesn't trick you into thinking you're being shot or touched or whatever......it feels like you're being vibrated on
However, it definitely gives you a competitive edge in games. It let's you know instantly where you're being shot from, so you don't just run away and wonder where they are, you escape and know exactly where they are
Bottom line, is it worth 500$? No
Now that I have it, am I keeping it? Yes
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for this honest review!
I agree with you on your haptics vest... but with the new oWo suit it is a real game changer....
Better value with an OWO suit tbh
@@fludblud Bhaptics x40 and owo suit are the same price
I have the same suit. Got their DK3 Tactot(chest rig) a few years or a year before they came out with the full consumer version with X16 and X40.
I highly recommend anyone that plays VR and has the cash to get the X40. It ups your gaming experience significantly. Then, if you have extra cash, get the Tactosy for arms. That's it, the rest is not needed. Those two are fantastic!
I really love the community for these devices too. bHaptics staff has been hard at work getting the integration going with devs, and the community makes mods for so many games too, so even those that normally wouldn't work (like say, Skyrim VR) natively, they still work if you install a mod. And you get all the modding instructions straight from bHaptics, so even a novice can do it.
Really awesome tech. And the battery lasts a good long while too! Feeling recoil of your weapons is next level.
Picked one up last Christmas. It’s best with contractors because you can actually feel where you get shot from so you can react better.
Remind me of acupuncture with electrodes pads. You can adjust different strength of shake/stingy/contraction/numbs feeling with various electric pulsing pattern. Great for a “virtual” massage and pulsing acupuncture session. And the electronics involved is dirt cheap, approx $8 per 4 electrodes. 45 electrode pads with controller should cost around $130. Don't know why these pads aren't popular in making Haptic vest or something.
Great video! Love this game with bHaptics!
I've been thinking of getting one of these for myself for Christmas this year
The best test for these immersion-enhancing devices is always: "Do I miss it when taking it off again". Because if immersion is done right, it should feel natural. And when something feels natural, it's less noticable. So the biggest contrast of the experience is at the end, when you play another round without it. p.s. If you're ever going to try HLA with the vest and arms, I suggest trying my altered feedback files on nexus mods. It's on the alternative files page of the bhaptics mod-creator for HLA on that website.
My favorite game to play this with is ancient dungeon. It multiplies the atmosphere 10x.
I’ve sunk way more into The video cards and headsets than I have in peripherals, but I think this best might be the first thing I’d be really interested in once I felt like adding something more to the experience
I wish you had PCVR since i would love to see and hear about how this feels in RUMBLE. Some said they had to up the intensity in the settings for it feel right. It's the main VR game I play so I'd want this vest to work well in it befire I nought it yanno haha
I may or may not have just bought a PC… thank you for recommending that!!
Cool vid, try a real game changer haptics vest, the oWo... love mine. 😊
Mmmmm might get for myself for Christmas
Mine hasn't worked on Pistol Whip, Arizona Sunshine or RE4. It is paired, but im not sure what else I have to do to make it work on games with my Quest 3. This sucks.
Try with Ghosts of Tabor.
i like how, to demonstrate how feeling where you get shot will help you react, you select a clip where all the enemies were infront of you
Does it ever slightly hurt?
WOOHOO
Does this work on a quest 2
"What haptics you rocking"
Ready player one
cool
Would love to know how it works on Zenith MMO
probably lame
Does this work for 2D to vr experiences like Cyberpunk 2077? I guess it would require some finagling but it would be sooo siiiiick
I imagine there could be mods that support it!
I wonder how it would feel doing this but with a gunstock.
I will definitely try that!
and a treadmill
is the kickback from the revolver gun more stronger than the other guns? Does the vibration afrom the guns firing and kickbacks feel realistic?
Hi :))
for some reason i feel like the audio is weird
I’m guessing it’s cus some of its recorded on his quest not his regular mic lol
What’s weird about it?
I guess most shooters are gonna feel the same, soooooo what do non shooters feel like 👀
I’ll be sure to test some melee focused games soon!!
@@VirtualBroVR do you have this avatar earth bending style game? 👀
warthuynder
Do you think it's usable without pc?
That’s what I did! So yes!

@@VirtualBroVR w vid tho your channel is very underated
I still prefer the shockwave suit
This guy sometimes makes big videos that gain traction then some that don't.
youtube algorithm be funny these days.
maybe make a video on something like.... SuperHot Vr?
Perhaps talk about what made the game a first big step in vr and how it might be one of the most immersive first vr games ever.
Like when you are told to shoot yourself ("bone lab would shamelessly steal this 8 years later but with a noose"(this is a joke)),
yes it was very unpleasant but it made you feel a pressure like no other game.
like.... you're pointing a gun to your head!
of course it was unpleasant!
but it was probably one of the first times that a vr game showed the real potential and immersion a vr can do.
it would also be cool to talk about the gameplay and how the slowdown mechanic from the pc version of the game was basically BUILT for vr.
Sorry about the rambling but I just really wanna see this channel succeed :D
