    I Wouldnt say these changes are "massive" from the 2022 version. Imo its just smaller changes. Tesla always changes their cars over time with both HW and SW. But in the end all change and improvements is good. Big downside is removal of the Ultrasonic sensors, and time will tell if this a good way to go or not.

    • @ChargeGo
      @ChargeGo  2 года назад +5

      Agreed, I think its strange they removed the Ultrasonic sensors without implementing the software. I hope they address this soon.

    No ultrasonic sensors and no replacement for the functionality they provided - what a rip off! Replacing inexpensive, available sensors that just work and require relatively little programming logic with no ultrasonic sensors and tons of additional software complexity to use vision -that’s absolutely the wrong move. Not to mention the blind spots not covered by the cameras. Cheaper cars and even Tesla cars sold more than 5 years ago have USS! If that's not enough, as of January 2023, Tesla would be adding radar back. ?!? Taking delivery of a new Tesla model 3/Y in December 2022 with no sensors would be a very bad move. I am almost certain I will have to cancel my order. Very very disappointing. Paying through the nose for a Tesla, I just cannot overlook this. And I do not believe them that a similar or better solution will come any time soon, there will be no parity to USS. What a horrible move by Tesla. Lots of money to not provide basic functionality and to use customers a beta testers putting property and lives at risk.

    • @hayden8693
      @hayden8693 2 года назад

      I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Your just missing parking sensors, auto park and summon for half a year. USS are notoriously terrible and have caused thousands of accidents through auto park using them. Look at all the jeeps that have crashed while parking using them. Literally thousands.

    I believe the cameras do work better, but it could be software update too. At least for my 2023 m3p. When I rented a 2020 m3p, the basic autopilot couldnt this sharp turn near my house. Wouldnt slow down, would freak out and tell my to take control, and if I didnt, it would try to drive into the grass. Sometimes the right tire would drive into the grass and keep going like nothing is wrong. My 2023 takes the corner perfectly fine, it slows down, and has never put a tire in the grass. Also, the seats feel way more comfortable, but maybe its cause they are brand new. Dunno.

    I don't believe those camera's are 5mp nor is it HW4. It's an updated camera housing and possibly lens, but no one has confirmed if it's a 5mp camera yet and it's def not HW4 as that is an entire new processor for FSD and most likely will add HD Radar as well.

      Thanks for clarifying. I meant to convey the fact that the lens and housing was different and that its POSSIBLE that they implemented the new hardware in these cars. No Tesla is a luxury vehicle and they’re not a luxury company, they’re all about tech. Even when spending $100k+ on a S Plaid or X theres really nothing luxury about them. Model 3 really is the best Tesla and one of the best cars on sale today, the other models are severely overpriced.. the X is a glorified minivan, not even an suv and the Y is funny looking. So, dummies like me who have a 2023 M3 have to wait until the mighty Tesla decides to share it. The 2022.4 software update did not bring the cameras online. You are especially vulnerable in the front - an issue for those of us who are now contending with snowbanks. I am dismayed that Tesla just expects us to patiently wait for their magnificence. You have used up all the "very very very"´s in the world until 2026 with this video ;-) "Vision" as camerabased drivin is the worst piece of crap ever put in a car of that type of automation, with degraded speed & forced useles wriper-robot / pseudo-random "auto"-dim making it a pain at night and terrible if night and rain combined. Simply unbelievable such crap can be released for public roads.

      I actually share the same opinion as you! My 2022 is vision only and I can confidently say autopilot is MAGNITUDES worse today then it was when I got the car a year ago. I don't even trust it anymore. People flaunt Tesla's self driving stuff but most other automakers make a product that is just as good if not better. They need to get their stuff together.
