      You know what's really cool Mike is we had two new people in the group and four lil kids. Everyone had fun and we can't wait to do it again.
      So our Bronco sank in 6 feet of water. Video and big laughs coming on that.

    Instead of the long travel kit, I went with 100mm Desert Lizard shocks in droop setup, and have tremendous articulation. Then I went with class 1 tires on it, and it may not be as capable as other rigs out there, but I definitely had a lot of fun with it! Note: I love the Axe 550 3300kv on mine as well.

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  4 года назад

      Right on man. Yes, the Traxxas kit is a bit overpriced for what it is. Had to test it out though.
      It looks like the Axe 550 can handle a bigger pinion than the 12t. It has soooo much torque

      How are the springs in those 100mm DL shocks...working well for the TRX4?

    • @trailcrawler2038
      @trailcrawler2038 4 года назад +1

      @@chrismiller8704 The Desert Lizards come with a wide assortment of springs. Tune for the weight of your truck and how you like it to perform. I went with medium in droop since I don't have extra weight outside of front bumper and some wheel weights.

    • @trailcrawler2038

      @@chrismiller8704 None! CG is lowered and the rig is more predictable. I still need to tailor the springs a bit more, but I haven't been in a hurry as it performs very well with current setup.

    I should have bought a 3,300 or 2,800kv Axe last year. Our Axe Edition Gen 8 motor failed after a few months and they wouldn't warranty it during COVID, so it sat on the shelf and now it's impossible to find a replacement. All I can find is 1,200kv motors for $110 on eBay. All the other ones are more expensive than a brand new Fusion setup.

    I am about to install that brushless combo on the trx4, especially for autonomy, since as soon as snow, it will go with lights, caterpillars and with the ballast of almost a kilo ... But the long arms kit, with the body d110 ... I don't know if it will be counterproductive on certain slopes ... Anyway, good video and a 👍

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  5 дней назад

      The stock Bronco has 90mm shocks and that is fine for most usage. But if one wants more ground clearance, fit bigger wheels and tires and just have a more burly look then this mod of putting 110mm long travel shocks is a good solution..
      It's a fun mod but it sacrifices crawling ability and center of gravity.
