You can’t beat sending the trx4. Probably the most versatile truck there is. Crawls and bashes like a champ 👍
we are impressed so far.
I always come away from your videos thinking "man that guy just has a lot of fun with this stuff". Your enthusiasm really shows through!
You know what's really cool Mike is we had two new people in the group and four lil kids. Everyone had fun and we can't wait to do it again.
So our Bronco sank in 6 feet of water. Video and big laughs coming on that.
The way it went up that curb like a champ was priceless!
Yeah, that's a good test since everyone knows how pesky curbs are!
I did the same thing to mine. Not only is extremely fast now but it also climbs smoother than before. Like you said it just adds another dimension to the TRX4 that wasn't there before.
New dimension and new trick up its sleeve. Seems no compromise and really takes advantage of the platform.
Traxxas is sick! I feel like this video helps show why their fans are so loyal.
And That's what traxxas is known for!!! Durability 💯.. NC❤ back yard RC.AND MORE. . 🏞
Durability and wide range of applications. Now we see how versatile this platform is.
Except their electronics lol!
@@rcintro1489 I know that's right💯.. ! Lol.. NC ❤.. back yard RC.AND MORE. 🏞
Brushless power on TRX4 they fly ...
00:34 made me spit out my coffee, that was awesome.
when in doubt... have some fun :)
Channel is doing great Awesome work guys almost 16 tho!!!
still smiling every rev.
Instead of the long travel kit, I went with 100mm Desert Lizard shocks in droop setup, and have tremendous articulation. Then I went with class 1 tires on it, and it may not be as capable as other rigs out there, but I definitely had a lot of fun with it! Note: I love the Axe 550 3300kv on mine as well.
Right on man. Yes, the Traxxas kit is a bit overpriced for what it is. Had to test it out though.
It looks like the Axe 550 can handle a bigger pinion than the 12t. It has soooo much torque
How are the springs in those 100mm DL shocks...working well for the TRX4?
@@chrismiller8704 The Desert Lizards come with a wide assortment of springs. Tune for the weight of your truck and how you like it to perform. I went with medium in droop since I don't have extra weight outside of front bumper and some wheel weights.
@@trailcrawler2038 So no problems with the drive line due to more droop?
@@chrismiller8704 None! CG is lowered and the rig is more predictable. I still need to tailor the springs a bit more, but I haven't been in a hurry as it performs very well with current setup.
Nice vid, truck is running great, awesome track too!
Versatility is key. We love crawlers since you and crawl anywhere. But there's something to be said about a vehicle that can have fun anywhere.
Send it!! Lol. Thanks for sharing
When in doubt, throttle out.
That is very true
Brushless crawlers are so fun. One of mine is brushless and it’s my main giggle machine. But it has great low speed control too.
Now we see the light. Crawl, crawl, flick... giggle.
Fantastic bashing, dude! Really nice! 😃
The most important thing is we had fun. Kids aged 6-60 that day. :)
@@RCReviewChannel Absolutely!
Man, I have depression since 1992. And this Saturday I went until the beach near here and run my crawler a bit, but with FPV. And what I can tell is that since that day I don't know what depression is. 😃
Another reality, dude. It can be just a toy, but it can help people a LOT!
@@MCsCreations That is true bud. People who laugh and jump up in the morning eager to do something... anything... are guaranteed to live longer.
@@RCReviewChannel Exactly! 😊
send it we did! :-D
Haha great video guys, I’ve just got a bronco trx4, just given me some ideas now haha
Looks like a blast!! hell yeah! my stock power system is just lacking power and battery life. maybe it's time for a new drivetrain rather than a new body!
Freakin sweet! I luv bashing! Lol!
We didn't realize how much we'd enjoy it.
AWESOMENESS!!! 😎
I should have bought a 3,300 or 2,800kv Axe last year. Our Axe Edition Gen 8 motor failed after a few months and they wouldn't warranty it during COVID, so it sat on the shelf and now it's impossible to find a replacement. All I can find is 1,200kv motors for $110 on eBay. All the other ones are more expensive than a brand new Fusion setup.
Lol amazing. Love it.
Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin
lol @ "Send it". Gotta luv the TRX4, so capable 👍🛩🚗
when in doubt, send it.
nice little pump track!
Has a second use now.
What setting for the axe 550, 12t pinion that comes with it, stock spur on trx4 did you use. Which letter?
Did you ever find the answer?
I too need help
In the manual it has a diagram that shows what letter to use with what gears. Or google TRX4 gear mesh chart.
0:32 lol, definitely number 3!
Did you have to mess with the settings of the esc and motor for it to go that fast
I can't believe you forgot the Snorkel.
What size pinion is best for this set up
Berry nice
Damn gotta love traxxas.👍
Wow
I like it the best with these shocks.
Yeah, good for trailing and brushless
Send it you did! 😂
Awesome video, what gear mesh did you use with the hw pinion, I’m having a tough time sorting mine out, thank you
👍
I am about to install that brushless combo on the trx4, especially for autonomy, since as soon as snow, it will go with lights, caterpillars and with the ballast of almost a kilo ... But the long arms kit, with the body d110 ... I don't know if it will be counterproductive on certain slopes ... Anyway, good video and a 👍
long arm kit is not great for crawling. But with very soft springs, proper droop and similar ride heights, it can be pretty darn good.
@@RCReviewChannel A 2.2 wheels would be a good help, even if it breaks with the spirit scale ... A friend rode them in a Mercedes trx4, just rubbing in front😳 .. And greatly improves stability and overcoming obstacles
Great video :-) nice bronco
That’s shit was funny “send it”
Cool..👌
What exactly do you mean by you took the limiters out ?
Can the traxxas 4x4 esc support this motor?
I’m watching again now! Lol!
cool huh :)
hope i will like the 2700kv
Get some 10mm axle wideners to help with rally cornering 😁
Love that term. We do have 10mm spacers
Wait what? So u paid $150 for the loft kit then had to modify it anyways and remove the “limitations” of the spring? What limitations are u refering too? Thanks
The stock Bronco has 90mm shocks and that is fine for most usage. But if one wants more ground clearance, fit bigger wheels and tires and just have a more burly look then this mod of putting 110mm long travel shocks is a good solution..
It's a fun mod but it sacrifices crawling ability and center of gravity.
What about the links? Somebody mentioned that the link arms where the same length as the trx4 sport and the end links were just longer to accomodate the height difference. Is that true? Thanks
send it!
trx4's are built tough
They really are. Neither of my trx4 have ever broke anything. And I put about 20 hours on the stock electronics. My axial trail honcho though. Fuk man I'm scared to take it out haha. It's like what am I gonna have to replace this time
Yeah, finally we are pushing it.
Nice!
Is it gona die when I drive like submarine?
It'll survive. But the radio cannot deliver signal if under a foot of water
can you show us how to do a brushless conversion to 6x6 unimog?
Will do.
Your the best!
I have an idea. You could do a give away with this truck with me as the only entrant!😮😎😍
This one might be a keeper
Chilled watching till 0:35...what the hek happened 😱
Are you using the stock Bronco wheel wells with the Red Sport Body? If not what shock mounts are you using? Love the videos...keep them coming!
With the red sport body, we just cut the wheel wells so the body would fit.
Love mine. Have the castle creations 3800kv sensored brushless and mamba x 6s capable It does a wheelie down the street in second gear and still crawls like a snail in first gear with a protek 4100 mah 3s LIHV front mounted shorty pack . Its got a lc70 hard body full scaler check it out @rckyota on Instagram
And you said brushless was not useful....😁
We stand corrected!
But we never did say it wasn't fun. :)
😂😂
