    Interesting, like seeing your thoughts on the Fuego. I've had good luck with mine but it did need some lube! You'd take the BPS PQ2 over the Fuego 🤔 that interesting! Heck yeah we want to see the old reels, bring em out. We need to chat and catch up soon!

    The best $100.00 baitcaster reel is The QUANTUM ACCURIST PT S3 7.1 ratio. It has a flipping switch too. The colors are really cool also. Just got mine for $83.00 from Wal-Mart online.com. I will put it on a Ugly Stick medium heavy baitcaster rod 6'6. This combo kick's butt. Wake up people and give Quantum a try. If The ACCURIST PT S3 is isn't your cup of tea. Go after the Smoke S3 PT. Its higher dollar. But its even better. Shawn

    I have a Fuego CT, I agree with your review. I feel it is better for throwing heavy baits like big spinner baits, big jigs, or chatterbaits. If I could do it all over I’d probably buy a Lews Mach 2, I have one of those and have 0 complaints.

  • @Altered76
    @Altered76 4 года назад +1

    Why not, lets see that reel collection.

    Also you should mention another extremely popular reel in that $100 market. Lew's Speed Spool LFS series was one of the first aluminum framed solid reel at the $99 price point. They are also a solid reel for the money. The new LFS reels have some really nice features like a 95mm handle, 15lbs drag, bearing supported pinion, and brass gears for a extremely tough and smooth setup. I have a few from back in the day that are still going strong after years of me beating on them.

    I’ve haven’t fished with or casted a Daiwa reel before. The local sporting goods/outdoors store near me (10 miles down the road) has a lot of Daiwa and Okuma reels and very few Lew’s reels (guess the local population had a say so on their stock). I’m a diehard Lew’s fan but am always willing to give other manufacturers a try if their product “checks all my boxes” on what I’m wanting in a reel (echoing what you and I chatted about earlier today. 😉). Thanks for the video review. Will ride over to my local store and see what Daiwa reels they have in stock and check’em out. 😎😎

    Dude that Fuego CT is MONEY! It's incredibly smooth and casts a country mile. With 65 lb test braid and a Live Target Frog I have casted the entire spool. One drop of oil on spool bearings is all it needed to quiet down. That seems to be a trend with most new daiwa reels lately.

    I'll take a Fuego anyday over a Tatula. Not a fan of the T-wing. Line builds up on one side of the spool if u run the line over your finger for ultimate bite detection on baits that require feel. For speed type baits it's good. I want to be able to use a reel for multiple applications. I wish they would make a Fuego with higher line capacity because I usually use 20 lb test and that fills a spool quick. You can find new Fuegos in the $60 range. I haven't seen SLX anywhere near that price. I think Fuegos the best bang for the $. I also own Pro Qualifiers.

      @@TackleJunky81 mine are 2 years old (Type R) and they do it if u put your index finger under the line to feel for lite bites. Unless they've changed since then. It lifts the line up into the top of the T and renders the levelwind useless.

      @@TackleJunky81 I picked up a used one that needed a complete cleaning and noticed the spool had several half circle notches on the spool ends. One small one the brake side and four larger ones on the handled side, so was wondering if this was from misuse or if it came that way.

      🤔 I own around 20 Daiwa reels and just ordered a Steez A and a Tatula Elite, so you're wrong about how I won't buy Daiwa, lol Just not a huge fan of that particular reel.
