Good video. Your methodically straight presentation for 'how to' is spot on!
Appreciate you! 👊💪
Exactly how I load and unload my boat. I have bunk glides on my carpeted bunks, so I DO NOT disconnect the winch strap until I am in the water also. You explained it all very well and clearly. This should give beginners an ideal on how to do it correctly. WELL DONE, SIR.👍👍
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! 👊💪
I’ve got a 19’ boat with a 150 Merc. I’ve been solo launching & recovering for 10 years. I use a 25’ moving strap attached to my boat and the trailer strap. Launch my boat, then pull it back slowly with my truck. Very easy.
Right on! 👊
I fish solo 99% of the time. Sounds just like the way I do mine.
Same!! Easy peasy, lemon squeezie!!
Great video brother. When I brought my first Tracker, your original video was what I watched 100 times before I launched my boat for the first time 👏👏👏👏
Right on brother! Appreciate the continued support! 👊💪
One key point, the process is pretty much the same for most boats, but every boat and trailer set up is different... practice is key. Never a bad idea to go in the off season and practice loading and unloading...that way when the ramps get busy, yah look like a pro. Cool video brother
🤜🤛
💯 brother! Appreciate you! 👊
Those steps are the ticket. Awesome video, TJ. 👍👊
💯 brother! 👊
Okay, but where are the 5 drunks guys yelling to hurry up an clear the ramp....Nice job!
🤣🤣🤣
That juat happened to me on friday. Lol and the guy had kids with him
Wonderful video!!! I need to replace my bunks . I'm going to check those out. 🙏🙏 thank you TJ
Right on! Appreciate you watching brother! 👊💪
Thanks for this. Great video! I hope it goes as smoothly for me! Have not boated for years!
Appreciate you watching! 👊💪
Best video I have seen on loading and unloading a boat!
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! 👊
The key is knowing your equipment. Your boat and your trailer both. After a few times you'll gain experience. Nice video! Thanks!
💯 Appreciate you watching! 👊
@TackleJunky81 I owned a boat back in the early 90's and about to enter retirement I just bought a new one. Since it's been years and I have time before I'll be putting it in this next summer, I'm refreshing my memories watching plenty of videos like yours. Also being a fellow RUclips creator I understand the time and effort that goes into making, editing and uploading content I wanted to thank you for your contribution to boater education. Great job! 😊
@NormCobbJrTourLife Right on buddy! Enjoy your new boat and retirement! Appreciate you! 👊
Love your unboxing, rod setup vids.
Would like to see more actual fishing and different lure setups.
* When are you, Hank, and Debo doing another collaboration vid? 🤔
Right on brother! Hopefully, this winter we can all get together!
Fantastic video i have been working with my son on launching and loading the boat and I always have him back in to get the bunks wet and then pull out until the top of the fenders are just out of the water to help guide the boat on the trailer My bunks are raised in the front so there is a bow in the bunks and it makes it real easy to load the boat. I enjoy all of your videos even though I do not always comment on them
Right on brother! Appreciate the continued support and thanks for watching! 👊💪
What brand and where did you find the side bunks??? They look much stronger than what I'm seeing online....
They came on the trailer.
I have the same boat/trailer combo and I struggled sometimes launching and loading by myself.
One thing that helped me was adding a centering roller just below the bow roller, there's a cross bar with pre-drilled holes that matched up perfectly
with the roller assembly I got from Amazon. I'll send you some pics of it installed. 😎 Thanks TJ for this video!
Right on brother! Appreciate you watching! 👊💪
I welded up my own set of sets using a old truck receiver hitch and piece of chain link fence pipe. Cost to me was about $15 for primer, paint and nonskid sheet.
Right on! 👊
Thanks so much for your video, Love your boat and your Ram truck!
Appreciate you! 👊💪
@@TackleJunky81 love Ram trucks!
Thanks, new boat owner and needed these tips
Appreciate you watching! 👊
Great video TJ! Thanks for sharing some helpful information!
Thanks man! Appreciate you! 👊
Love the instructional videos. It was truly helpful!!
Appreciate you watching! 👊
Bought those bunks based on your review, outstanding bunks.
Right on! 👊💪
TJ Thank you very much for the good video, it is a great help for beginners like me. Would it be possible for you to make a video on how to winterize a boat for the winter; Like any tips or tricks that you know of?
Thanks man! I don't have to winterize my boat with keeping it in my garage, but I'll see what I can come up with this winter.
Nice step by step process!
Thanks man! 👊💪
Great vid , could I ask what camera you use ? Very good vid quality as well. thanks kb
Thank you! This video was shot with a GoPro 12.
Great instructional on a solo load/unload 💪
Thank you brother! 👊💪
great video! Do have any advice for unloading where there is no dock to tie to?
I put a KeelShield on my boat in case I'm at a ramp with no dock I can always pull up to the ramp or any shallow bank nearby.
Very helpful and clear.
Appreciate you watching! 👊
Crestliner... well made boat
👊💪
Cool tips. I mostly use my kayaks because of trying to load my bass boat is irritating. Regardless of how far I back the trailer in my trolling motor, I always hit the roller and the boat has to be lifted while I'm cranking it on. I've adjusted the sleeve that the roller mounts to up and down, and it doesn't help. I'll take a video the next I get it out.
Right on man! Appreciate you watching! 👊
Well done…very helpful video!
Appreciate you watching! 👊💪
Any ideas for carpet conditioner to keep the bunk carpet soft? I find that, on my Ranger bunks, even wet they seem that they are rough feeling. Any ideas from anyone on here would be greatly appreciated.
Trailer depth is the key. I see people get too deep and struggle with a cross wind. I added bunk slides for shallow ramps too.
💯
Great vid TJ 👊💪
Thanks man! 👊💪
I don’t have a Boat but great Camera Work on the Video my friend top Tier….
Thank you brother! 👊💪
Thanks for the video sir. 👊
Appreciate you watching! 👊💪
Hey TJ, appreciate your How-to’s for sure. You wanna do one on how to back up a trailer? Don’t know how many times I’ve been at the ramp & there’s ol’ Cletus & Clem taking 1/2 an hour to put a boat in. Fun to point & laugh, but these type people are cutting into my time on the water brother 😂
🤣 I hear ya man! Appreciate you watching! 👊
Like a pro 💪🏻
👊💪
Very good video!
Thanks man! 👊
I have an older ranger. You have to drive it all the way up to the roller. You can't wrench it up. It's too heavy. So like you said know your boat and trailer along with water level for the best loading and unloading.
💯 brother! 👊
Great video! 👏👏
👊💪
■■■...Awesome info...fyi there are boat trailer water depth sensor/indicators out on the web...also you should do a Bill Dance style outtakes video...(I'm sure there were some hiccups making this video).
Oh cool...I didn't know that. 🤣 Appreciate you watching brother!
Dry bunks vs wet bunks I learnd today , thanks
Appreciate you watching! 👊
I have uprights at the rear of my trailer. They serve two purposes.
1) they give me a guide to trailer my
boat.
2) they are locaters of my trailer when
I'm backing down a ramp and my
trailer drops out of sight.
👊💪
How come you didn't put the Drotto Latch on this boat trailer like your last boat?
I didn't have it on my last boat.
My bad I thought I remember seeing it in a video
Many launches do not allow power loading as it harms the launch area and can affect others in the launch.
In my other video linked in the description, I show how I load with a rope. Appreciate you watching! 👊
As a new boater, I pick and choose where to go so I don't make other ppl angry waiting for me. hahah
It's not as hard as it looks.
Loved the video !!!! I have the Ranger 188p aluminum rig how do you like yours??? I have a youtube Channel as well iam in Maryland.
Right on brother! Love my Crestliner! 👊💪
I appreciate all these vids but I'm still waiting for the one where there is tidal current.
Appreciate you watching! 👊💪
One thing to note: if you have conventional bulbs in your taillights, unplug the lights from the truck.
👊💪
Never could figure why people always dunk the trailer lights. Most of those light assemblies are not water tight and I see water draining out of them often at boat landings.
Obviously you've never owned a trailer nor looked at a trailer light assembly on a good trailer.😅
@@BumpNrun69 OK sport 👌
Wish there were some ramps by me that would allow power loading. Every ramp within 50 miles = "No Power Loading" signs.
$350 spent on a Drotto system, only useful for unloading. errrr
I've heard that Drotto is nice though.
💪💪💪
👊💪
No way I can leave the trailer blocking the ramp while I drive the boat. And I hope I do not have to wait for an unattended vehicle when I launch or recover my vessel.
I float it on. Dunk it deep float boat on so doesnt drag on bunks. Dont want my rivets popping already. Also powerloading aint the greatest for boat ramps. Winch the rest couple inches. Pull out
👊💪
I have the Droto auto boat latch for my ranger and that really helps.
Right on! 👊
looks like the hard way to me. I just attach a rope to the front of the boat and the trailer, back it in gently and let the boat go, then when the rope gets tight ease the truck up. Grab the rope and walk the boat to where you want it.
👍👊
👊💪
🤠👍
👊💪
Some places your not allowed to do it that way
Yup, I have another video linked down below when power loading is not allowed.
power launching in the state of Michigan is illegal and can get you a ticket
Appreciate you watching! 👊
🫵🫵🙌🤛🤛🤜🤜🤜
👊💪
No safety chain? Check your owners manual regarding warming up your motor before you apply power. Power loading is a the cause of more damage to both boats and trailers than anything else you can do. Use a rope to pull the boat gently on to the bunks and crank it on to the front bunk stop. Never launch your boat without the safety chain hooked. I laugh at the bass bros competing to see who can get on their trailers faster. Nothing like slamming a 150k bass boat on a trailer and driving off with no safety chain hooked up. Also as bad as backing up and with an unsecured trailer and jamming the brakes and then hammering the throttle on an ice cold motor. Just a bunch of idiots.
Yes, I have a safety strap on as well. Appreciate you watching!
😂😂😂 yep and you forgot sunscreen gloves a helmet and steel toe boots as well n hip waders just incase.😅
