Exactly how I load and unload my boat. I have bunk glides on my carpeted bunks, so I DO NOT disconnect the winch strap until I am in the water also. You explained it all very well and clearly. This should give beginners an ideal on how to do it correctly. WELL DONE, SIR.👍👍

I’ve got a 19’ boat with a 150 Merc. I’ve been solo launching & recovering for 10 years. I use a 25’ moving strap attached to my boat and the trailer strap. Launch my boat, then pull it back slowly with my truck. Very easy.

One key point, the process is pretty much the same for most boats, but every boat and trailer set up is different... practice is key. Never a bad idea to go in the off season and practice loading and unloading...that way when the ramps get busy, yah look like a pro. Cool video brother

Since it's been years and I have time before I'll be putting it in this next summer, I'm refreshing my memories watching plenty of videos like yours. Fantastic video i have been working with my son on launching and loading the boat and I always have him back in to get the bunks wet and then pull out until the top of the fenders are just out of the water to help guide the boat on the trailer My bunks are raised in the front so there is a bow in the bunks and it makes it real easy to load the boat. I enjoy all of your videos even though I do not always comment on them

I have the same boat/trailer combo and I struggled sometimes launching and loading by myself.
One thing that helped me was adding a centering roller just below the bow roller, there's a cross bar with pre-drilled holes that matched up perfectly
with the roller assembly I got from Amazon. I'll send you some pics of it installed. 😎 Thanks TJ for this video!

Cool tips. I mostly use my kayaks because of trying to load my bass boat is irritating. Regardless of how far I back the trailer in my trolling motor, I always hit the roller and the boat has to be lifted while I'm cranking it on. I've adjusted the sleeve that the roller mounts to up and down, and it doesn't help. I'll take a video the next I get it out.

No safety chain? Check your owners manual regarding warming up your motor before you apply power. Power loading is a the cause of more damage to both boats and trailers than anything else you can do. Use a rope to pull the boat gently on to the bunks and crank it on to the front bunk stop. Never launch your boat without the safety chain hooked. I laugh at the bass bros competing to see who can get on their trailers faster. Nothing like slamming a 150k bass boat on a trailer and driving off with no safety chain hooked up. Also as bad as backing up and with an unsecured trailer and jamming the brakes and then hammering the throttle on an ice cold motor. Just a bunch of idiots.
