Placencia, Belize - a drive from the Point of the island to entrance (ocean side road view Placencia

I wanted to give prospective visitors to Placencia a comprehensive view of the length of the island (approx. 19 miles long and 1/2 mile wide).
Placencia is a village on a long island with resorts on the Caribbean coast of Belize. The southern tip of the Placencia Peninsula is known for its palm-lined beaches. Between the peninsula and the mainland, Placencia Lagoon is home to manatees and saltwater crocodiles. Offshore, there are dive sites on the coral Belize Barrier Reef. To the north, the Garífuna community of Seine Bight is a hub for traditional drumming and dance.

Thank you so much for making this video and for sharing it. Very beautiful drive. It didn't appear that Placencia Road is very popular with pedestrians. I kind of hoped I might be able to hike the length of the peninsula when I come down to visit in the future. Or, at least from Cocoplum to the southernmost point.

The owner of Wendy’s is not creole, she’s Guatemalan. She learned to cook Belizean food from the creole woman she used to work for. Now she doesn’t hire native creole.

You didn't drive from the southernmost point of the peninsula. And it is not an island. It is a peninsula.

I am very well aware that it is not an island because I drove to it. I apologize if I did not make this clear. And, maybe, technically I was not at the exact Southernmost tip, but I was close enough.
