For the longest time on goggle maps Belize was covered with clouds, because Belize almost always has clouds and its hard to get a photo without them.

Part of it is, but most of Belize is Jungle and marshlands.

We're visiting in March. Got us a rental car. Going from Belize to Placencia. We anything I should know about driving there?
Yea, 2 things come to mind right away. Watch out for surprise speed bumps in the middle of nowhere with no warnings. Some have warning signs, and some don't. Second, have your drivers license ready for police check points that you may come across. Sometimes, we come across a bunch, next time none. They usually check the insurance stickers on the windshield. Oh, and bring cash. Some places only take cash. USD is accepted everywhere. Belize dollars are locked to the USD, ever $1USD is $2 BZD. If paying in USD, count it out alowed in BZD, so the locals know that you know the worth or you'll get scammed. So if you put down a $5 USD, say $10.
I would also mention bathrooms usually cost money to use, even at gas stations, usually $1. Majority of places are closed on Sundays, so try to fuel up and get groceries etc on Saturday. Don't drink the local water, only do bottled water that you bought from a store - be careful that at tourist locations, even the airport outside, often locals just reuse bottles and fill with local water that can make you sick, and try to sell it to you. Belize usually doesn't tip for food but you can if you want, they just don't expect it. Some places close mid day during hottest part, some close early at night and then become a party scene, so just get in the habit of checking for dinner etc. There will be a lot of locals trying to sell you stuff on the beach and in tourist areas and it can get kinda awkward. Remember to buy coral reef friendly sunscreen :) and check out the Belize Zoo if you have time, it's pretty awesome to get up close to jaguars.
