The truth is that actors ARE PRETENDING to be something or someone they are not while acting out a role. Whichever actor is selected for any particular role should always be selected because they seem to be the most convincing in that role. The actor that can best fool an audiences' mind in EVERY aspect into believing that is the actual character and forgetting it is an actor, is the best actor for the role. They should be so convincing that the audience forgets that they are watching the actor and instead actually watching the real life non-fictional or fictional character. If you're casting a person of a different skin color from that of the actual or written character for the role and for the reason that they are a different skin color from the actual or written character, then you have already lost the majority of your would-be audience. This goes especially if it is a person of a certain race who is held with high esteem or absolute hatred within that same race. You would never cast a white guy because he's white to be Fredrick Douglas or Mohamed Farrah Aidid nor would you cast a black man because he's black to play Abraham Lincoln or Adolf Hitler. Imagine a black or white guy because they are black or white playing Bruce Lee or Mao Tse Tung. It's ridiculous and people hate this type of thing because it takes away from actual truth and doesn't allow the viewer to full appreciate the full love or hate for the character. In other words, it sucks. If they are cast in the role because they were the best, most convincing and make-up could hide their true race well, then cast them in the role I say. This also goes for beloved hero or hated villain fictional characters as well. But don't cast people in roles of a different race from the character simply because they are a different race from the character and then present the character a an altogether different race. People notice this immediately and hate it. Not only do they hate it, but they will also not watch it.

However I can tell you that every mediocre movie that's ever been created was either too worried about offending someone or never had a decent script to start with. The new ridiculous standards will ensure nothing but mediocre movies in the future. That's one reason why movies today suck.

I took my kids to see a Marvel picture and Hugh Jackmann was totally naked….his backside showing for all to SEE! The theater was filled with kids!!!! My children and I left the theater and I got my money back!!!!! We are destroying our children’s minds with all the stuff they are being forced to accept in our schools, video games, and movies! God help us for our STUPIDITY!!!! We need to STOP and say, “NO MORE!” Protect our children from the NONSENSE!!!!!!

The truth is that actors ARE PRETENDING to be something or someone they are not while acting out a role. Whichever actor is selected for any particular role should always be selected because they seem to be the most convincing in that role. The actor that can best fool an audiences' mind in EVERY aspect into believing that is the actual character and forgetting it is an actor, is the best actor for the role. They should be so convincing that the audience forgets that they are watching the actor and instead actually watching the real life non-fictional or fictional character. If you're casting a person of a different skin color from that of the actual or written character for the role and for the reason that they are a different skin color from the actual or written character, then you have already lost the majority of your would-be audience. This goes especially if it is a person of a certain race who is held with high esteem or absolute hatred within that same race. You would never cast a white guy because he's white to be Fredrick Douglas or Mohamed Farrah Aidid nor would you cast a black man because he's black to play Abraham Lincoln or Adolf Hitler. Imagine a black or white guy because they are black or white playing Bruce Lee or Mao Tse Tung. It's ridiculous and people hate this type of thing because it takes away from actual truth and doesn't allow the viewer to full appreciate the full love or hate for the character. In other words, it sucks. If they are cast in the role because they were the best, most convincing and make-up could hide their true race well, then cast them in the role I say. This also goes for beloved hero or hated villain fictional characters as well. But don't cast people in roles of a different race from the character simply because they are a different race from the character and then present the character a an altogether different race. People notice this immediately and hate it. Not only do they hate it, but they will also not watch it.
Awards mean nothing these days. Not in entertainment or in womens sports.

WHen you put quotas on Gender when hiring engineers there are so many male applicants than female that you cannot even interview the male applicants and therefore have no hope of hiring the most qualified.
