Painting Experiment on Wooden Bowl

I was finally able to get back to doing some painted bowls now that it's gotten marginally warmer. This bowl started as an experiment with different techniques, but I ended up with just a dirty pour.

Nice. I liked it when you initially took the plastic bag and swirled it around. The blotting method did not speak to me. But the you saved it in the end with the ring pour. I like the orderly chaos of it. Reminds of the painted desert out in the southwest all those wavy sediment layers.

I agree blotting blends the colors (mud) not something I was going for. I still would like to come up with a way to swipe to mitigate the typical run patterns.

I did it myself with the Woodglut plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
