Exactly this concept! Next to my metal I make a lot of Synthwave, where I utilise this concept all of the time! Very well explained and I like how you invite people to do the same!

Thank you! I love this idea, both for brainstorming and composing. But it's actually been a good while since I utilized it. Maybe it's time for me to revisit it as well!

The melody remain the same but since we change the chord underneath it than it sounds different. Thanks from Indonesia.

Glad do see you back! I tend to overlook this so many times!
I sometimes don't have full confidence in my melodies or ideas I tend to overcomplicate them. But the truth is: Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
    Great video!

Thank you! Me too actually. I'm sometimes bad at taking my own advice haha. But this technique is a lot of fun too, almost like a puzzle. Finding different chords to go with the melody. You can end up in interesting places!

This is an approach to composition that a ton of electronic musicians swear by, particularly in the house and techno scenes. Another way to make a loop interesting is to change the rhythmic context that it sits in. For example a four to the floor groove is going to make the energy of an idea feel way more different than a sparse half time groove.
Another great video! Your editing is always very impressive. Especially to a laymon like me haha

Thank you for noticing the editing. I really appreciate that.
And what you say about electronic music makes a ton of sense. I would do that too. And yes to the rhythmic variations! Rhythmic dynamics is something I'm trying to improve on overall.
Great points! And thanks for sticking by me through the little break.
