I love that her sheet pan looks well used!
I have been using Za'atar for so many years the traditional way on a flatbread dough mixed with olive oil. It is great to see Za'atar gains popularity in recent years and very glad to see ATK get on the Za'atar wagon. I will try this recipe for sure. Thank you for posting it.
This will be something I'll make again and again. Thanks Julia ❤
Julia, I've made this recipe countless times, and its a hit at every single gathering!!! Its the best.
Love roasted butternut squash. I have Zaatar in the spice cabinet and I will add that next time.
Because I'm very lazy, I always line my baking sheet with foil, and sometimes non-stick foil.
I have been wanting to try butternut squash for a while. This recipe looks doable and tasty.
Inspiracion para la semana
Wow looks so amazing 😊👍
Love Za'atar seasoning. A staple in my spice collection. I have people eat my roasted veggies, including carrots, that ask for some Za'atar to take home. There are many spice combinations called Za'atar but all have sumac, thyme, oregano, and cumin.
I have to try the roasted butternut squash and customize the additions. A winner recipe for butternut squash to add to my collection.
Growing your own squash is the best.
I was introduced to Za'atar a few years ago and really enjoy it but didn't know what else to do with it (other than flatbread & olive oil). Thank you for sharing this creative and very healthy dish.
Thank you for this great recipe ! I love your presentation as well !
Zatar literally means Thyme. It’s mostly thyme with different propriety additions. Sumac is a common one, but Sumac is much more Sumac is more of a table top seasoning like salt and pepper. I’m going to try this with sumac instead- maybe also add some fresh thyme leaves too
Fantastic recipe and very fun to watch you cook!
Must be tasty! Thanks for the recipe, I will definitely make it.
This looks yummy!
Anyone notice the guitar spatula?? Love it
Ok ATK fans, when Julia bangs the trash bowl, we all need to run to Julia 😉
Yum
Looks so good.
It looks delicious 😋
Yum!
SQUASH PEELS FLYING EVERYWHERE!
No, actually that's squash flying everywhere. Too bad they don't teach these people enough about not wasting so much food. They'll be learning soon enough when the shortages really start kicking into high gear. Then, they might want to start teaching people how to use every peel and scrap that they've been throwing in the trash to make good things to eat.
@@Toad-In-A-Puddle I think Julia meant she uses the bowls both as dog bowls and scrap bowls. So it's possible the dogs (actually just one dog now 😢) will get the squash peels, but she probably uses the same bowls for onion and garlic scraps plus a bunch of other food discard that you wouldn't feed to dogs but would compost or use to flavor stock or something.
I didn’t have the spices the recipe called for, so I used Chinese Five Spice, and it was DELICIOUS!
We may Friday Saturday Sunday 🎉😂🌍🏞️
Great!!
Exactly what I looked for
Hey Julia, looks good. You could put your empty baking sheet in the oven on self clean and it will come out like sparkling new! Try it.
Why? They work better when they're all "seasoned" up like that.
Love it 😊
Looks sooo good, wish ATK would occasionally focus on tasty like this but calorie restrictive item for those of us who must stay on a 15-20 k diet
We may Friday Saturday Sunday happy Friday Saturday Sunday 🎉😅
Do you have to peel it ?
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Looks delicious! @Julia what was the chef knife you were using? It's different than the one in the link
I believe she is using one of her Feder knives.
Who makes this awesome knife you're using?
That’s a very cute little wooden guitar.
I have never seen butternut squash pre-peeled but left whole.
Does anyone have any tips to pick a good (whole) butternut squash?
I really don’t care about the squares being dry. It’s less work plus every one at Thanksgiving is starving. 😆
Za'atar sound interesting. But, I would add one caution to those who are given to skin eruptions, like eczema.
I'm not a physician, but I did have a dermatologist suggest that I avoid sumac. Evidently, it is in the "family," of poison-ivy/poison-oak. It wasn't a stern warning ... just a suggestion.
But, it would be easy to look at the list of ingredients, and blend your own, omitting or adding, what you want.
I like to blend my own Italian Herbs, because it costs less that the commercially prepared. And, I blend my on Herbs de Province, because American commercial blends add too much fennel.
There's a *poison* sumac that's associated with poison ivy and poison oak. This is a different sumac that's apparently more closely related to cashews.
You missed half the recipe. What are those deep-fried/baked cutlet-like things next to the salad?
She did not, that was a completely different recipe and it's part of the entire episode that ran on Pluto TV in I think the first season of the show. This series is fairly new and only has 2 seasons so far and it's from her home, called Julia, at home.
@@johnhpalmer6098 Correct. And FYI, people had the same comment about the salad.
@@davidbuben3262 Yep, I think I saw that and may have answered that one too.
Looks like breaded boneless pork chops.
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
What is the knife she is using that is pink and blue 😮
Um the website is locked tighter than Fort Knox at the website you provided. Change your ending
Does anyone know what's the protein on the other half of the platter?
She recently has a video on 'How to Make Crispy Pan-Fried Pork Chops'; they are breaded with cornstarch, buttermilk and Kellogg's Corn Flakes.
I like my vegetable knife better for this… it has a raised line on it that prevents the vegetables from sticking to the knife.
What knife is that?
What did she make with the squash??
What's on the platter beside the squash, please?
Yes, that’s why I am looking thru the comments. They kind of look like falafel-cakes.
Everyone saying boneless breaded pork chops.
what is the other food on the platter?
Last week's pork chops. 😆
Buying butternut shrink wrapt is ecologically stupid and really not so much faster. I am still waiting for America's Test Kitchen to finally start thinking more about ecological solutions..
