Oh, damn, we got Hiromi on here? She's my favorite modern pianist and it's not even close.
Bro I found out about Hiromi like a week ago and I'm obsessed... insane virtuosity and energy!
Agreed
Hiromi Uehara - Piano
David Fiuczynski - Guitar
Tony Grey - Bass
Martin Valihora - Drums
thanks Tony, I might request more of her song in future she collaborates with many musicians and there are so many more great songs out there. I am glad you enjoyed it!
By the way as far as I remember the guitar player was Hiromi's teacher back in her music school.
Hiromi is my favorite jazz pianist. This piece was great, but really doesn't show off her virtuoso nature Hopefully, you can check out her Trio Project stuff in the future.
I second this ! "Dancando no Paraiso" in Jazz à Vienne is my favourite piece of her, and the drum solo is incredible !
I'm a bigger fan of the OG trio before sonic bloom, but it's all worth listening to
I specially love her Trio with Anthony Jackson and Steve Smith. It's a spectacular gathering of legends right there!
I already got massive goosebumps looking at the thumbnail.
No joke my favorite artist, I went to her concerts aswell (tribute to Chick Corea feat Hiromi Uehara and Makoto Ozone)
I am jealous you got to see her live.
I'm jealous you got to see the Chick Corea concert. I saw the tour featured in this video off the Sonic Bloom cycle at the Blue Note in NYC and caught her again a few years later at Saratoga Jazz Fest. She's absolutely incredible.
Hiromi is simply incredible, made me fall in love with piano jazz
She's incredible, had a great honour to see her and the band at concert in Bratislava with a bouquet of fantastic and accomplished musicians, such as Martin Valihora (I believe he's the drummer for this composition from the record Time Control released in 2007).
I was there as well. Amazing experience. I´ve talked to all of them after the show and what a lovely bunch of people. Especially Hiromi and Tony Grey.
Thank you, TAK, for requesting Hiromi to Tony. She is one of my favorite jazz pianists. Glad you enjoyed the music, Tony.
Looking forward to this - been a huge fan of Hiromi since the first time I heard her trio with Simon Phillips and Anthony Jackson!
What song do you like from the Trio? I want to definitely request a song from the three albums she released.
@@tak3780 👍Thanks for recommending Hiromi to Tony. She is a one-of-a-kind musician. My first exposure to her was watching the Hiromi Uehara The Trio Project "Desire" video on YT. It's such an energized performance! It feels so free and liberating. Hiromi's joy shines soooo bright and that smile of hers is pure sunshine. There's just something magical when the 3 of them perform together. One day I hope to have the privilege of seeing them live.
@@tak3780 i can't even pick one. Just check out anything from the "Move" disc, which is also available as dvd. And get that disc it's fantastic.
@@tak3780 Move is always a great one, especially for mind blowing Hiromi and Simon Phillips solos.
@@torbjornlindholmes2401 Desire was my introduction to Hiromi. So good.
oh man i love Hiromi that's why i like your reaction because you don't follow the path like other RUclipsrs and you're not afraid to open your horizon to look some underground and not mainstream stuff 👍 keep it like that man💪
These are some incredible musicians hell yeah!!
She s just the best jazz pianist actually !
Oh yes, so glad you finally go around to checking out Hiromi! And thanks TAK for the Patreon request. I don't recall exactly which video I said it on, but I'm pretty sure I said you'd enjoy Hiromi :)
Hiromi is my all time favorite musician and I had the honor of catching her appearance with Edmar Castaneda at the Montreal Jazz Festival. I will never forget the feeling I had when they returned for a second encore and played a duet arrangement of Place To Be.
Gotta love the double neck guitar.
I will always say Hiromi's Sonicbloom with Hiromi, Tony Grey (bass), Fuze (guitars), and Martin Valihora (drums) was the best Hiromi band. Absolutely insane talent.
2:13 They REALLY got your attention!!!
MEGA-chops, indeed!
You rarely ever clap, so high praise indeed!
Bass solo: 🔥
Piano solo: 🏃♂️💨
Guitar solo: 👽
Just jokes! these are great musicians and a great session crazy technical skills and melodic choices 👌🏾💯💯
Hiromi is a virtuosic player and a genius composer, I would be her groupie for sure. Lets not firget Tony though, he breaks down these very complicated pieces as hes reacting, he doesnt miss a thing.
He really should react to Fire, interpreted by Hiromi Uehara and Edmar Castaneda!!
As always, great reaction! Hiromi is a complete beast!
I wonder if you'd listen to "Usted Señalemelo"? I think you'd like that band. I recommend "Pana" and "Agua Marfil".
Definitely a great quartet but I think her trio with Anthony Jackson and Simon Phillips is my favorite.
I see all your Dimash reactions, but where's your reaction to his song Stranger??? It's the best one!!
You've done a great job Tony, i always enjoy your viedoes. Waiting for a reaction on band Antitila - фортеця Бахмут, or some thing like that.
Hiromi is so great!
I would love for you to react to a hoshimachi suisei song more particularly the song GHOST by her
You should definetely listen to the JET SET RADIO soundtrack, for example "Everybody Jump Around", "The Concept of Love" or "Let Mom Sleep (no sleep remix)". They slap hard
Hideki Naganuma is my favourite music composer because of those tracks
I love Hiromi's trio project but I love her solo more. Whether solo or trio, you can listen to new music every time, anyway.
her original trio was probably the best (for me anyway), not the new-ish trio
@@gregkrazanski SAAAAAME. She kind of lost her prog edge a bit and is a bit more... standard jazz now. I remember reading an interview pretty early in her career where she said that Dream Theater and Michael Jordan were influential to her and I think that variety stood out more in her early catalogue and provided some mind blowing results. The neo-classical stuff isn't as present anymore either :/. She's still a monster though and I'm always happy to listen to a new release of hers.
The song is called "Deep into the night"
Great video like always Tony! I recommend you check out all of the my hero academia openings! There are some really good songs in there?
I get quickly burned out on most reactors, but you hear it all, and comment with knowledge and class. 🤜🤛
Oh that 'canon in D' jazz by hiromi ❤ that
Hiromi hiromi hiromi hiromi
Hiromi, Michel Camilo and Chick Corea are imo very similar keyboard players both in chops and musical sensibilities. Heck, I see Hiromi borrowing stuff from the other 2 all the time! 😅
Try "gusty garden galaxy" form super mario galaxy´s soundtrak im sure you´ll love it
Do ado backlight 🔥🔥
i think you should check W●RK by millennium parade, absolute banger!
I believe all four of them met at Berklee.
Confirm or correct me, anyone ?
I wouldn't be surprised

I really want you to make a reaction to Radwimps Sparkle. It's a masterpiece and I'm sure you'll like it then.
Please do watch Bohemian Rhapsody by Forestella a Korean boys band, its pretty pretty good or say the best cover
A real musician vs a face reaction. Usefull
Lol and here you are complaining after clicking the video that's titled "reaction".
