As of 1/29/23 Wranglerstar took down that video. I’m not sure why but I will be reuploading the video and placing it as unlisted in the description. This is not to be petty but to provide the video in full context so you can see there’s nothing up my sleeve. Thank you all for watching!
youtube has blocked viewing it, calling it private. Is there a way you can make a new link so people can see his video. What an @hole he is for that video
Just curious if you saw the video ( it's a short) where he says if you harass my kid or my neighbors kids a bunch of woodsmen are going to show up at your house during dinner and there's more of us than you. Or something along those lines. At this point I believe he has serious anger issues.
Cody will be the first to call the police when something happens to him or his family.
So, is the San Marcos police officers beating up and tazing a deaf man then trying to pin other crimes on him after they finally realize he's deaf a "nothing concrete"? This was off the body camera.
How about the 60 year old Lisa Edwards dying in the custody of Knoxville TN police,? The cops are on camera (body and car) mocking and threatening her while she was essentially begging for her life. This is on the hospital too to be fair.
In Colorado police officers body slamming a handcuffed man to the floor in the hospital because he told them to them to "eat shit". He was leaking from his head as a result and rhe cop then was on multiple body cameras trying to gaslight the man with the whole "you were trying to pull away" line. Is that a nothing concrete?
What about all the victims of civil asset forfeiture who are left financially crippled while the cops and feds hide behind qualified immunity? Is THAT a nothing concrete for why Cody/Wranglerstar and many others of us might have a poor perception of the police?
While I am well aware that not ALL cops are evil/bad people, it is also fair say that this is a reputation earned with the profession.
@@shauncatlett6066 There are approximately 61 million interactions between the police and the public per year. Of that 61 million how many fall under your or Wranglerstars version ?
"Let's disband the fire department too"... I'm dying XD This has got to be some of the most incoherent logic I've heard!
Fr, his "points" were moot after that, even though the whole segment was crazy. I could imagine how fucked our country would be if we disbanded FDs across the states, it would look like FallOut New Vagas, excluding the power armor
"An evil came over me..."
A minute later
"I did what I did, I'd do it again"
LMFAO
While I myself am not conservative I can feel the immense disappointment in a video like this. Hope you’re doing okay man!
Thanks brother, I appreciate it.
I know this is an old video but what does being democrat or republican have to do with giving police a basic level of respect that we demand from them? I don't like the distinction you made that democrats hate police and conservatives love police. How about you say, that you do and not worry about how you vote
@@Sartre_Existentialist Leftist/right(or conservative) are not always synonymous with Democrat/Republican. Personally I am fairly conservative leaning but I do not like the Republican party basically at all. Nor do I like the Democrat party, both imo are not great options to fully align yourself with.
Now as to what Whiskey said. I'm assuming when he says "Leftist" hes referring less broad stroke Left, rather focused on the more extreme Left that you may hear a lot of conservatives go on about, the extremely anti-capitalist, for defunding cops, who say things like all cops are bad or all conservatives are racist.. Granted this is only an assumption, but from the way he speaks and appears to carry himself my conclusion is as ive stated, and that he didnt have it in his train of thought to clarify.
@@justacameraman4900 I was talking to the OP of this comment. He made the distinction
Love your videos! Totally feel the same way as you. I laughed so hard when he said the fire department should be disbanded. After that I was expecting for him to say that people can just use their garden hoses instead.
My buddy is a cop and he did something I thought was cool. He pulled over a lady with a 2 year expired registration. When asked why she didn't register the car, she said she didn't have the money. He told her instead of writing her a $100 ticket and then compounding that by having to register the car. He gave her his duty phone number and told her she had 30 days to get it registered and would give her a verbal warning instead of a ticket. He really was expecting anything bit 6 days later, she called him and said she registered the car. He ran the plate and she actually did it.
"Its hard to follow the rules, because everything is so expensive" - riiiiight 🤔
You should never trust the police; however, you should respect the officer as a human being.
Fair enough.
And as we have seen on tactical Tuesdays with OnlyCops, never trust even SixtyAteWhiskey, even if you are supposed to be one of his fellow officers :D
So there is that as well... But as a viewer you can, he is good at delivering entertainment.
You are right! Never trust a government agent that can use violence against you but definitely treat them well. That being said it isn't illegal to be an asshole and a lot of cops shouldn't be so quick to be provoked by assholes.
That’s bullshit
Eh...
Nah. Not when a lot of cops don't respect unarmed fellow citizens as human beings.
I feel like more and more people are collectively developing an allergy to any shape or form of taking responsibility for their own actions.
very well said
I've talked my way out of more tickets by just admitting I was speeding. When the officers asks me if I knew why he/she pulled me over, and I'd say "Yes, sir. I was speeding." The cop usually looks at me with a surprised face and then asks if I knew how fast I was going. Then I'd tell him/her the speed (or there about). They usually ask if I had a reason and I often didn't. Then, they (most of the time) let me off with a warning or give me a break on the ticket speed for not being argumentative. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Most of my friends are cops, too so I know it's no use arguing. Cops don't just pull you over without a reason. Every time they have to enforce the law, they do so at their own personal risk.
And it's hypocritical attitude as to why others don't respect people who call themselves Christians. "Hypocrite! First remove the rafter from your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to remove the straw from your brother’s eye." Mathew 7:5
The tone certainly changed after he got fired from his job.
Hes now a multimillionaire and the money and power has gone to his head. The true Wranglerdtar is on full display here.
A teacher in high school who taught about law enforecemnt told me of how his department rapidly began to recruit high-school bullies and racist jocks. The look in his eyes told me everything. The guilt. The horror.
And this was back in the 60s.
Man, Wranglerstar took the whole Firefighter Vs Cops thing to a whole new level
New sub. I appreciate your perspective.
Is that a phone case or admin pouch on your chest/plate carrier?
It’s both! It’s a thyrm DarkVault
Okay I like the video but I can't help but notice
"When you say you can paint an entire group of people with brush, and generalising people to a fault, it makes you sound like a leftist - because that's what they tend to do." ...You say, while generalising leftists... despite saying you shouldn't paint people in broad strokes
You’re 100% right. Then again I’m also referring to an ideology, where in if someone ascribes to said ideology they generally take on a greater portion of its world outlooks.
In leftism there is a generally accepted view that people are not to be judged on their individual character but instead their group identity.
I generalized conservatives at the beginning too. It may have been a different generalization but it was still a generalization because it was about the ideology in general.
I appreciate you keeping me honest, my friend!
@@SixtyAteWhiskeyAh that makes more sense for leftism hahaha, I get it now. Cheers from Canada!
@@SixtyAteWhiskey Where does your second point come from? Leftists like myself do talk a lot about groups and how they are treated but i dont see people judging entire groups as an actual ideological arm of leftism, its just the same hypocrisy every person who engages in politics commits, we generalise our supposed 'enemies' while being charitable too allies. Many conservatives i speak too make broad generalisations about LGBTQ and how they are pedos or trying to brainwash kids people as many left wing people make generalisations conservative christians being the same thing, I'm sure this being a conservative channel most ppl believe the first example. I do think generalisation is a tool that is mostly wielded by liberals (joe biden, elizabeth warren etc) these people see two supposed extremes on either side so they generalise a lot, all leftists are antifa and all right wingers are trump supporters, this is not endemic to the ideology of liberalism though, its literally just how normal ppl interact with a political landscape its necessary to simplify things in order to participate without devoting hours upon hours to arguing politics, not saying this is a good thing, just want too point out how common it is across the spectrum.
When he said he thought cops get paid 80 to 100 grand a year, I almost fell out of my chair.
I fell out of my chair when he pushed on the Fire Department as well, I was like what the fuck is your problem ?
Not sure why you'd fall out of your chair--no officer in the city I grew up in makes less than 100K. Sergeants pull in 250K. LT's and the Capt make over 300K..
This is getting out of hand. Now there are two talking balaclavas.
Those are rookie numbers.
Dude I was heartbroken when I saw that video when it came out.
Hi Whiskey I enjoy your content alot, as a Police Officer are there any avenues of reform or change to the current structure and status of the Police System or Culture in America that you believe would be effective in cracking down on the number and influence of corrupt/malicious Cops?
I absolutely lost my shit when he added on that Fire Departments need to be disbanded. You hear ACAB relatively often these days. All Firefighters Are Bastards? I have NEVER heard that take before.
Oh sprucing up the hotel room I see? :D
And have you considered becoming a A Cab by installing a meter and charging for it? :D (Yes, that is my chuckle on the ACAB thing, I think of a cab / taxi)
Don't make videos while intoxicated. Stop the killing, stop the dying. 💛
I got a speed ticket this week, it's fine, I'm an idiot. If nobody enforce the law, the only people benefiting from it would be dishonest and antisocial people.
Well… I just lost nearly all respect I had for Wranglerstar.
Solid advice. Never trust cops.
Mkay
YES! All my cop friends said they would quit if they were ordered to confiscate guns
No they won’t
If you speed trap you're a road pirate
Arrrghh
God I wish the interstate had unregulated speed zones like the autobahn...with the caveat that I also wish Americans drove with the discipline of Germans.
next time put a tie on top of all that and do a gun meme review like brandon.
"Do you feel safe with cops near you?" Yes, isn't that their purpose? I don't remember living in China or Venezuela to fear cops.
That guy going full woke.
I live in Massachusetts. I do not live in China nor Venezuela. I do not feel safe with cops near me. I'd feel safer without cops near me.
And studies show that less police results in more crime.
Your emotional response to the fear of being pulled over or arrested does not come even close to equating to the factual increase in violent activity that spikes as police presence is reduced.
@@gilernt The fix for your anxiety would result in more violence.
@@milk_yt Nowhere did I say I fear cops and therefore there shouldn't be cops. The "I'd feel safer without cops near me" was just saying if I were put in a void with cops, I'd feel safer when the cops are further away. Should've been more specific in my comment my bad
I have no words, genuinely I'm disappointed in humanity
So I just finished the video and have a few thoughts.
Firstly, the thumbnail: The actions of bad cops have made it too dangerous for citizens to blindly trust. I do support law enforcement so long as they uphold their oath and uphold the constitution. I know it's a tough job and you have my respect for doing it, but I hope you understand why citizens as a group have become more guarded out of necessity. I aim to be polite and respectful to everyone in public and consider flipping the bird to anyone while driving about to be in bad taste regardless of if its a cop or not.
I also believe very strongly in the 2nd Amendment and think that everyone who can arm themselves should, be it conceal or otherwise. But the notion of making it mandatory is laughable for all the reasons you outlined. While I don't doubt your sincerity or that of your comrades when it comes to protecting the 2nd Amendment, I hope you also understand that it makes people very uneasy when the bad apples do express their anti-2A sentiments or worse enforce them on people.
Societal decay is a real problem yes, but we haven't full anarchy yet and eliminating police will not make anything better. It will only make things worse. The social contract isn't repaired by eliminating the core structures that uphold it.
Oh, and disbanding the fire department is one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard of. Whether it's a volunteer outfit or a dedicated service (depending on state and municipality) having a dedicated crew ready to respond to fires has been a thing for literal centuries.
I know it's a tough, often thankless job. Know that you are appreciated.
I love your videos!!
I know my last comments were very critical. That being said, you all did great work dealing with the Nashville Christian School shooter!
Did you ever get to speak to him
I'm only 4-5 minutes into the video. Though I don't have the most favorable view of police as an organization, I'm getting really frustrated with how I have not heard a single actual point as to WHY the police are bad. He has sat there for 4 minutes inhaling his copium, calling police officers road pirates and other negative names, without having explained even a little, what happened that made him see police in such a negative light and why I should also see the police in that same light.
He's honestly coming off like a spoiled child who's mad an officer didn't give him what he wanted so he's about to take it out on the internet. And he's clearly in the wrong because he himself said him flipping someone off was what started the altercation. When he could have not done that?
Edit, I'm 9 minutes in now and from his account the cop did nothing wrong here. She gave him a ticket for running a red light then moved on. Not even stirring up a fuss over his right to record. Big deal.
And to be clear, my main beef is the inherent power imbalance between police and the common man.
If a cop doesn't like you, there are a huge number of ways they could make your life a living hell, or even flat out kill you with nothing you can really do to get the cop fired. If they beat you within an inch of your life, even so little as raising your arms to block the attack is grounds for assault of an officer and resisting arrest. Cops can even plant drugs on you and have you arrested for drug-related charges on top of whatever happened that got their attention. They can hurt your loved ones or kill your pets, and attempting to stop them will just get you jailed on bogus charges or killed as well. There's very little accountability for when things go wrong.
Your only hope as a civilian is that their bosses and/or co-workers are not as power-hungry or abusive as the cop in question. And if they are? Well, tough luck. In short, you as a civilian are solely at their mercy and discretion.
Many, MANY people are either dead, crippled, or in jail with bogus charges on their record because an ignorant, racist, ableist, or just plain power-tripping cop didn't like them and decided they were gonna use their badge and authority to hurt/kill them, knowing full well nothing would be done about it.
Addentum: You COULD (and are very encouraged to) consult a lawyer after you're arrested. But is a lawyer gonna prevent you from taking a 9mm to the head?
Flipping off cops is not a reason to interact with a citizen. Supreme Court ruled that is first amendment protected.
Are you a NY cop? Just asking because of the hat. And if you are, is your department planning on enforcing the proposed unconstitutional gun bans by the fed?
I am not, lol I've had that hat since forever when I still watched baseball back in the day! And if that were to come down to our department here in TX (which chances are solid it wouldn't) I would not abide. I'm a constitutionalist. Shall not be infringed. Period.
Sorry just got to the part where you said you wouldn't 😂😂😂 I think there are a lot of officers around the country that feel the same. A lot more than the media likes to say there are. We're in some dark times, stay safe out there brother.
@SixtyAteWhiskey good to hear. I pray it never comes to Texas but these new age communists are moving their satanic garbage into cities all over the country. I'm in Illinois where they just banned semi auto rifles and are trying to force a firearm registry. We the people are too busy enveloped by our phones and telling the internet how mad we are to actually show we're not going to allow this tyranny.
@@SixtyAteWhiskeyyou know how prohibition was a constitutional amendment and somehow the drug war isn’t? Have you ever made a drug arrest? All those are unconstitutional. It’s a constitutional matter, aka a matter of birthright, to force or forcibly deny someone use of a medicine/substance/food/any form of bodily intake.
So you’re making the argument that methamphetamine, a synthesized chemical that causes vast amounts of externalities from the person that uses it and intrinsically changes the chemical makeup in their brain is a birth right?
I’ve made arrests before for possession of a controlled substance but not for someone lawfully possessing or taking prescribed or OTC medication.
You’re going to need to explain how it’s unconstitutional to make drug arrests as your explanation so far doesn’t track.
Its just kinda sad to see the amount of cognative disonence he had in that video. Im personally not conservative, nor am i christian, but it still feels bad seeing someone who people look up to as a role model act like that. At the end of the day when it comes to police, sure there are bad cops, and there are legit reasons why one may be cautious about confronting cops, but at the end of the day, behind every badge is a human being living their life just as we all are, and they deserve basic respect, they dont deserve to be generalized or demonized.
I don’t trust most cops here in Canada especially after the trucker convoy protests.
I love your RoN stuff and have respect for officers like yourself that seem to actually do the right thing. However, I've always been average in terms of money, privelage, location, etc., and have only ever had poor experiences with cops except for exactly one time. I've personally come to fear cops as a white male from a decently well off area, since the things I've had happen to me and seen happen to people I know truly make me fear for my own safety - from the people "trying" to protect us. For me personally, I don't necessarily despise cops on a cop-by-cop basis or as people (generally), but instead as a flawed institution. When I see a cop working construction traffic and doing a good job I don't think much of it, but when I see a cruiser with who knows inside of it, I start to get afraid.
I want to clarify my point a little more, I was in class writing that. Basically I just mean that for example while yes, just going out and saying all cops are pirates is not true, it can be seen how when someone has only experienced that they draw that conclusion. That mentality applies for me in regards top cops, I'd say. I've only been exposed to the negative aspects of cops, so my subconscious opinions aren't exactly positive of them. That being said, I don't think I'll always not like cops, but probably won't until I see more of the good they presumably do than the bad (on a personal level and nationwide).
Someone know where these 80-100k cop jobs are where all you do is chill in your car and bother people by enforcing traffic laws?
Washington State Patrol, but it's a SUPER liberal agency.
In general police in Washington get paid a lot but cost if living is pretty high as well, and the state actively passes laws to make policing harder. But, with the right agency it's worth it.
MA has departments that have jobs around 80k or a bit less and especially in the smaller towns near me, all they do is sit around and pull people over, in fact.
I don't get it. This must be a troll video Cody uploaded there.
It's sad...
Cody is a nut job or just dumb. I've watched the dude for years and in the beginning i really liked the things he taught buts hes gone off the rails over the years. This video is a great example of that. Hes talking about how bad cops are but at the same times im sure he would be terrified for his kids if the cops weren't there to enforce the speed limits or stop potential crimes against him his family or property. Hes had moments of talking about being against the government while not taking into account that if the government collapsed it would be hell for him and his family. Im one of those lefties that people hate but i understand the need for police. The police need to be governed and held accountable, they cant be left unregulated to do as they see fit. But they are most defiantly needed. Hating the police because you flipped them off then run a red light is just fucking dumb. That's 100% on you dude lol. You asked for that ticket. And rich of him to talk about migrants being targeted. Im sure he hates those in his beloved USA as much at the next conservative. Great video dude. Love you RoN content.
I thought Cody went over board on this one. HOWEVER, the good cops pretty much know who the bad cops are , and there is a long history of the blue line keeping silent on it.
15:27 as a kid who actually wants to be a cop I have one thing to say to this
No
I ended up unsubbing him and subbing your channel. I used to enjoy his content but his real side is coming out more. Not just with LE.
I thought his video itself was bad, but the support he's getting from the comment section is even worse
Definitely a tough sight to behold.
Is it really hard not to be a twat to people you don't even know?
I don't get what you'll achieve from flipping off a cop or just being a ass. Overall, good breakdown
01:36 "OH MY GOD GUYS BRENDA'S GOING 150 MILES PER HOUR IN A 70 MPH ZONE THE COPS ARE SO NITTPICKY!!!"
"Finding nothing of interest and then writting them a warning" how do you warning someone that technically did nothing wrong ?. HEY guy thats doing nothing wrong!, you better not do anything wrong 😆
If I stop someone it’s generally because I have probable cause which means there’s a traffic offense, which means I’m required by my department to give them a written warning. Nothing of interest relates to further investigations.
coming from Cody who flipped off and cop and ran a red light. Rich
sure not all cops are bad, but what if you know of a bad cop and dont do anything about them - cuz we know yall all stick together and back each other up - what does that make you then?
Generalization.
@@SixtyAteWhiskey didn't answer my question, but thanks for the reply anyway?
I didn’t because I’m tired of trying to debate with people that want to engage in generalizations.
“Cuz we know yall all stick together”
I’m not going to stick with anyone that violates peoples constitutional safeguards.
See how that negates your argument?
Now that you know that, I, a lone officer would do something that refutes your point, your argument is countered.
Generalizations do not further healthy debate, they quash critical thinking in place of snap judgments and emotional responses.
@@SixtyAteWhiskey I'm not generalizing anything tho - if you're not a bad apple, but know a bad apple and did not do anything about said bad apple, are you not also a bad apple?
Negative, you’re changing your argument.
Again, you said “Cuz we know yall all stick together” that is a generalization on its face.
To answer your second question, yes of course being complicit in misconduct makes you part of the problem, but again you have a skewed idea as to how police departments work.
I work in a smaller city. The officers I work with are all solid dudes that uphold the law, and protect people’s civil liberties. I know our policies and rules regarding use of force and everything else.
The city to our north? I have no clue. I don’t know their policies on how they handle theft cases much less if their officers are all “good apples”.
Police are not a hive mind, we are not all complicit by dint of sharing a common occupation. Again this is why I abhor engaging in generalization argumentation because it becomes so circular.
This video made me hate cops even more
Okie dokie
Likely an emotional overreaction on his part. There is good that comes from holding one another accountable. While we’re talking about it can we discuss the ATF and how they are going to make 10’s of millions of law abiding citizens felons if they do not comply with a directive that is against the constitution and their oath? If they show up should I treat them as a person or the agency they represent? If policing organizations don’t like how they are being treated then they ultimately will be the only group to affect change.
Cody never served in the military. Cody hasn’t been able to hold down a job for very long.
Wranglerstar's an... interesting one. I remember watching his homesteading videos a while back. Definitely went off the deep end more recently, and as it turns out, he's a bit of a shady character. History of lying about his qualifications (he never worked for the US Forest Service as per FOI requests), and apparently his name comes from the fact he used to sell Jeep Wrangler parts online... and scammed loads of people. The guy definitely seems to have some weird compulsive behavioural issues.
And you're sure that information is true, how?..
Lmao glad to see someone making a video commenting on wranglerstar, I truly don't get what's happened to that channel. It's went from a fairly wholesome channel talking about axes and gear and country life to the rantings of an arrogant prick that seems to be able to find fault in EVERYTHING lol
Honestly, while I hadn't seen it going this far off the rails, I did see some early warning signs with a few of his earlier videos, especially the one on machetes. Man spent the entire video doing every single thing he could to make the tool not perform just to support his preexisting notion that they're bad and essentially talked down on anyone who uses them. Most probably wouldn't pick up on it (despite the fact that the tool performed well even though he didn't want it to), but having worked with machetes in my profession for 4 years at that point, it was very blatant to me that he was doing everything he could do wrong as wrong as he could.
@@CelticAssassin it's unfortunate and frankly weird. He had a good thing going with that channel but I could care less for his thoughts on the world, he's made himself out too look like nothing more then a controlling, close minded asshole.
@@CelticAssassin lmao I had to search his page. Wranglerstar 8 years ago "how to organize your garden tools" wranglerstar yesterday..... "valentines day is for simps" bahahaha he's lost the plot.
I used to watch wranglerstar. But he used to do hands on stuff. Household care and projects, forestry stuff, tools, machinery, vehicles... now look at his channel. Months of absolutely NOTHING but sitting in his garage alone and ranting at a camera. Mostly clips from live streams where he preaches to his own fanatic choir. Dude has taken a bad turn. I'm atheist, but he's taken an ungodly turn. His old self would be disappointed in his current state.
you have beautiful eyes 😳
What do you expect from a guy that uploaded a video on how to make tyre spikes to keep 'Pandas' off ones property.
“Gave me tickets…” well bud what she give you tickets for? If you flip someone off it’s just human nature for that person to retaliate. Especially police. “But they’re are held to a higher standard!” Yeah and they didn’t go out of their way to seek you out. You brought attention to yourself. Hard to feel sorry for you
Thin blue line is desecration of the American flag
Sorry you feel that way. God bless.
100% agree
So the American flag with the Green line though it which represents supporting military members is also desecration? And the red one that represents fire fighters is also desecration too?
@LittleTyrant4 Yes. Any American flag with a colored stripe other than red or white is desecration of the American flag.
perfect Christian behaviour. And he forget that every cop, and firefighter will risk their life to save his but... That sad. I'm still impress to see so many people convince that, if everybody will carry a gun, criminality will disapear
Wranglestar seems to have a very low threshold for calling fellow citizens and neighbours scum of the earth or human garbage straight up unambiguous hatred. That's pretty hardcore for a person who strongly identifies as a Christian.
As always with these types there is a suspicious lack of discussion about the role lawmakers play in all of this.
You’re utterly clueless my man the reason why people despise the police is because of the way they act, and when they do act wrong their buddies with badges, don’t do nothing about it or even stop them when violating peoples rights and this is done on every day basis, hundreds and thousands of times a day
Gonna need you to provide a citation for “thousands of times a day”
Come join the discord and we can jump into a call and discuss this more.
Great video thank you for making this and for your service. I too used to love, subscribe and be entertained by him but not anymore He has several anti cop videos and each one is more negative than the previous. This from a man who loves his God, bible and family but is also heavily armed and totes his body armor. (ok for him but not the police) I come from law a enforcement family and for twenty plus years worked very close with police and fire, so yeah my blood boils when the broad brush is used along with baseless accusations. I commented to him asking if he "listened to what he said" thinking perhaps it sounded more negative than he wanted ? lol The polite way of say WTF are you saying ?
1. Every cop has agreed, as part of his job, is to enforce laws; all of them
2. Many of the laws are manifestly unjust, or even cruel and wicked
3. Therefore every cop has agreed to act as an enforcer of laws that are manifestly unjust, or even cruel and wicked.
There are no good cops.
Please tell me where in all of that I no longer have discretion in the enforcing of laws? If I actually enforced traffic laws to the letter of the law I’d be pulling over EVERYONE and that would then require me to write every single person a ticket.
But I don’t, because I have discretion.
Homosexuality is still against the law on the books in Texas. Find me an officer in Texas that is even slightly interested in pursing that.
Based off the premise you’ve provided, realistically it sounds like you have a problem with lawmakers.
Your generalizations carry no water.
Even if we were to pretend that your generalizations were true, what should we do? Have no police at all? Goofy mentality. If you want to continue this discussion in voice chat hmu on discord.
"Many of the laws are manifestly unjust, or even cruel and wicked" please name some.
Yeah but he is not wrong
Wrangler star is right, get rid of qualified immunity and establish laws and consequences for Leo’s lying.
You have no idea what qualified immunity actually is. Let me explain.
"Qualified immunity is not the same as absolute immunity...in the Supreme Court's own words, qualified immunity is an officer-friendly doctrine that protects “all but the plainly incompetent or those who knowingly violate the law."
Courts employ a two-part test to determine whether qualified immunity applies. If the answer to both questions is yes, then the public official does not get immunity.
Did the officer violate a Constitutional right?
Did the officer know their actions violated a “clearly established right"?"
-FIndlaw
Qualified immunity does not protect officers that violate people's civil rights intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly.
Lying to suspects about information has resulted in numerous serial killers confessing to the murders they've committed.
It is mentally staggering how many people will say exactly what you said with no foresight to actually understand what they are saying.
@@SixtyAteWhiskey the officer harassed a citizen over them exercising their first amendment rights. The fact that you admitted to do the same, makes you just as tyrannical. I want police responsible for their own actions, just like the rest of us. You brake a wrist, crash into someone, or assault them. Then you need to be held responsible. People are tired of the Police functioning as gestapo.
@Bonneville Bagger You've lost me. You also never addressed my arguments but I guess we'll move on.
"the officer harassed a citizen over them exercising their first amendment rights. The fact that you admitted to do the same, makes you just as tyrannical."
If you're speaking in reference to Cody flipping off an officer and then him subsequently receiving citations for traffic violations I can't say I'd agree with you.
I admitted that someone flipped me off which garnered my attention as that isn't a common behavior that is normally exhibited by people driving on the roadway.
I ran that individual's license plate and saw that there were warrants attached to said plate, I made a traffic stop and found that the person inside was the person listed in the warrants on the vehicle. (Warrants were for violent felonies mind you, guy was a serial domestic abuser). Me conducting a traffic stop like that does not make me tyrannical again lets look at definitions: ty·ran·ni·cal adjective exercising power in a cruel or arbitrary way.
At no point did I exercise my power or authority in a manner that was cruel, arbitrary, or violated that individual's civil rights.
If you'd like to have a more nuanced convo, feel free to join the discord and we can have a voice chat. I'd like to give you my perspective on things in more of a productive manner.
@@SixtyAteWhiskey you may not “agree” but you’d be wrong. Following a citizen for miles waiting for them to commit a traffic violation IS harassment and abuse of power.
So I’m guessing that’s a no to my offer for a chat then.
If you’re not willing to refute points I made over two replies ago and straw man me with another officer then this conversation is no longer productive in any manner.
I think Cody has attitude problems.
Why are you hiding your face?
I have a face for radio.
What the hell is a professional home owner????? Is this a thing that I am too European to understand?
He had to come up with some kind of title, so professional home owner it is, he doesn't work and I'm sure that a manly man as Cody would never call being a youtuber work. BTW, he's full of s*hit 😂😂😂
@@ramirez036 I see now, thanks.
As much as you want to say there are reasonable and understanding cops. The day gun confiscation starts police will be doing it. This is not a question. You work for the government and you will do what they say.
I think you and I have VERY different insights as to how police officers think.
Having talked to the people in the department I work at and essentially every other officer I’ve interacted with, no one would comply with an order like that. It’s unconstitutional on its face.
A greater percentage of officers that work in the country are the same people that truly believe in the constitution.
I work for the government that’s true but I also have a brain and a sense of morality. I would not “do what they say”. I’m not a mindless drone. I also am not required to work for them, I could quit tomorrow and go about my business if I wanted to.
@@SixtyAteWhiskey I hope that's true.
Says the guy wearing a mask…….
This video is like it was made by a 12 year old.
What does the mask have to do with the validity of my arguments?
@@SixtyAteWhiskey you being police, as you say you are, knows damn good and well you are NOT our friends. You are agents of the state, first and foremost. Your job is to protect the interests of said state. Service to the citizenry just happens to come as an occasional ancillary ad on. We all watched the judge acquit the cop in the Parkland shooting that was afraid to go in, saying the police actually has no obligation to protect the citizenry, stop trying to act like y’all are that useful.
You didn’t answer my question but I would love to talk to you more on this. I disagree with what you’re saying, but I’ve found with a lot of online discourse productive dialogue isn’t done well through text alone. Hit me up on discord and we will jump into a call!
Two types of people wear masks. The first to hide their identity (robbers, terrorists, etc.), and the other, because they think it looks cool (adolescents, cops that wear drop leg holsters). I know you know that, stop playing the dumb card.
Still didn’t answer how the mask has anything to do with the validity of my argumentation.
It’s ironic to preach on morals when you won’t show your face
Not sure how me showing my face would change the validity of my arguments.
How?
After watching this video i have decided to become more anti-cop (not in a leftist way)
Why?
@@5hif7yx86 Small town cool cops are fine because they arent dickwipes like every other cop
That doesn’t clarify anything. You’re making generalizations.
