    This isn't something i'd ever consider buying, but im glad a company finally is using decent hardware for these automated systems.
    I enjoy the process of collecting the data and processing, as much, if not more, than having the resulting image.

    Why use such a low camera. For that price you should be using a higher end chip.

      Celestron need to publicly give more information on availability. I’ve had mine on pre order now for what feels like ages, date seems to keep moving out. I was told May but that’s not looking likely now? I would have expected more review models to be in circulation, and an app in the store if this was about to be available. Please Celestron release more info! Thanks ❤

    Why does the unit need to process the image using Ai, please?

    • @wadehathawaymusic
      @wadehathawaymusic Месяц назад

      If you have never done the signal setup and stacking process in astronomy, the value of AI may not be apparent. Also most people erroneously think of the generative side of AI (not what we are using here). AI is valuable in image processing because integrates large amounts of data and makes decisions about what to tweak instantly. I don't know how many nights I'd be tweaking Sharpcap not realizing I had forgotten some step or failed to account for some variable unique to that night's viewing. AI does almost all of that for you.

      @bccdavid1 100% agree. This is not a toy. If it lives up to the marketing, it is well worth $4k . I had been pricing out a DIY alternative using the 8in RASA...forget it. I'll wait to see how this unit does at first light.

    A little disapointment.
    ZWO seestar s50 has way lower price, compact, and light weighted with very cheap price. If celestron wants to have this to be high priced premium, the size of the scope should be way bigger, or just have equitorial mount as a strength since all smart telescopes are just alt az

  • @throughsoul

    Question: Did you "train" that ai editing from images stolen from other astro photographers? Specifically, where did the images come from that you used to "train" your ai editing software?

    • @NG-VQ37VHR
      @NG-VQ37VHR Месяц назад

      You train it by going through the editing process yourself. You dont just show it pictures, and somehow expect the ai to know what the person, who processed the image, did to get there.
      The ai has to learn how to make changes to the data and which changes it needs to get a desired result.
      That might work if it was just fabricating an image and creating data, but its not. Theblast the you want this ai to do, is create data that wasnt in the original image.

    As a happy happy owner of a ZWO SeeStar S50, I think you misunderstood your audience. I want you to succeed, but you priced your product in pro-amateur range… meaning that a pro amateur can buy a decent setup that can image better than this scope with none of the fixed limitations of this scope.
    You should have targeted people like me, who love their S50, but are willing to pay more (up to 2-4x the cost of the S50) for more aperture, better image sensor, is still excellent for sun and moon imaging) and captures deep sky objects as well. Also, it still needs to be within a flight carry-on size and weight.
    This scope is too expensive and too heavy, and apparently is no good for lunar and solar imaging… and for the price, I am also disappointed that the carrying case is still optional.
    But again, I truly hope i am wrong and it is successful.

      AI is used in the *processesing* not generating images.

    • @sssdeecee
      @sssdeecee 18 дней назад

      The speaker misrepresents or poorly explains the purpose of how AI is used.
      In other words, the “AI” is used to processes to stack and manipulate the captured photons to reveal the best possible image from the available data.
