@@DoItYourselfDad I’m finding the snooze function is very useful. Especially for our camera on the back deck as we are always moving around during the day.

Hi, thanks for the video. Will the alerts work if your not at home, and say you're at a restaurant or on holiday? will you still get an alert and see footage of what's going on back home? Thanks
Do you still like the Eufycam? When you setup multiple zones, can you select which zones send notifications? For example, I’d like a zone covering my front deck and driveway, and to be notified if there’s motion. And zone 2 will cover the street, which id like to capture the motion, but not get notified about it.

Yes, it will still work behind glass, but I wouldn't recommend it. Behind glass you will have to turn off the IR, which would mean it wouldn't work well at night, If you are are looking for something that doesn't need a hub check out the Eufy E40 here: amzn.to/37XR4s1

Useful review. I am wondering how close someone has to be to the camera before it registers them. My camera is going to be quite high up and they won't be able to walk up to it. (on a balcony). Other reviews have mentioned that someone needs to be within 10ft of it before it sees them. Do you know if this is true?
The one I have over my driveway is at least 12ft off the ground and over 20ft to my cars abs it doesn’t have a problem picking up people. That may be the case if you do t have any light where your setting up the camera, I have a little amount of light on the driveway and that seems to be enough at night.
How far can you place the camera from the home base unit and still get footage? Like if your storage house (with no Internet connection) is about 100 meters from where you live. And would wifi extention unit allows additional distance between camera and home base unit in this case?

Great review. Explains everything very well. I couldn't help but notice on the settings it mentions "NAS ( RTSP )". Are you able to get a RTSP stream from this cam as the other wireless cameras do not have that option?
It looks like you can, though I haven’t played around with it. I’m planning on playing around this weekend as I already have a disk station set up in the house.

But I would like it to just constantly record. Also do you know if the camera 2c with the spotlight it's compatible with this hub? Like can you mix and match the latest 2k cam with spotlight? It doesn't continuously record, it only records events, though the event time seems to be a max of a minute and then it will record another. It doesn't seem to have a cool down. Im not sure about the cameras with the spotlight, but I would assume you could. I have the 2k cameras and my older 1080 cameras all paired to the same hub.
Great review thank you. Can you please tell me how far the wifi reaches. This is a major issue with my current Arlo system. Hence why I’m changing systems.
Hi, I'm sorry but I am confused, I thought the Hub has storage enough for 30 days looping; if this is the case then where does "No Monthly Fee" come to play? if there is a free cloud, then why the manual doesn't show how to access it? The App does not show any option to view the Cloud Storage.
Your not viewing cloud storage, your viewing what’s stored on the hub. I mention the no “monthly fee” because a lot of companies do charge either to access to the cloud or for features like person detection.
The hub has 16 GB of storage not necessarily 30 days so if you have lots and lots and lots it may only last a little while actually what I do is I go to my dailies and I delete them all and I immediately copy to my iPhone or my cloud any that I intend to save that way I keep my 16 gigs down to about 1 1/2 gigs giving me plenty if I fail to do that for quite a while

I have a few questions. 1) how long is each event recording. 2) is there a cool down time between events.? I know my Wyze cameras are like 15 sec recordings and like a 5 min cool down between events. Thanks
On the wireless cameras the event recording time seems to be a max of 1 minute from what I can see in my events. I also have the 360 cam that it wired, Im seeing events as long as 5 minutes on them. There doesn't seem to be a cooling off period like the wyze cameras have. I upgraded to these from wyze and so far I've been really happy with it.
From what I can tell they have the same battery capacity, but because of the spot light the battery is only advertised to last 180 days. I haven't played around with that model yet.

@@DoItYourselfDad 10ft? I walked back and forth across my driveway trying to see when it would trigger. Apparently if you mount the camera more than 8ft off the ground it misses a lot.
Strange, the highest camera I have is definitely higher than 8ft, probably closer to 9-10. I haven’t had issues, the only thing I could think of is that since it’s looking downward it doesn’t see the profile of a person so it doesn’t trigger the AI. Do you have it set to person detection?
@@DoItYourselfDad yeah. I tried both ways. With person detection both off and on. It is like my truck causes a giant black spot around it where the AI can't detect anything. Sorts defeats what I wanted it for to watch if people are messing with my truck. Going to try the Wyze V3
Very strange, the camera I have above my driveway is the one at 8-9ft, looking at a truck and a car and I haven’t had issues. Possibly mine is set at less of a downward angle? I had a V3, and a bunch of V2s, very impressive cameras. Best of luck!
After spending 300 pounds for less than two years, the battery can't be charged. I think the battery is broken. Call customer service, said that after the warranty period, ignore me, in this use of two years is not very easy to use, a rainy season water fog ran into the camera, simply can not see clearly, so it is not recommended to buy.
I have it, it’s ass, the detection is REALLY bad and then I’m told “these sensors only detect left to right motion” sounds really good for my drive way 🙄 and then when it does detect, it stops early often while motion is still happening, the only other option is to set it to 3 minute intervals with a 5 second cool down.
@@DoItYourselfDad yeah, they tell me “they use PIR sensors and PIR sensors detect better left - right motion” which it doesn’t matter to me either way because in the end, they failed me. So now I have this camera and still need to buy something to replace it that does continuous recording with motion alerts as from reading forums, this is mainly a battery operated camera issue.
If you’re still looking for something that loop records these definitely are at the cameras. You’re not going to find anything that’s powered by a battery that is continuous loop recording.
Good luck with that..... Also, if you wanted to, there is an option to upload to the cloud, or a LAN, or server. When Apple decides to support anything higher than 1080p I'll consider it. 1080p for a security camera is borderline useless.

You were definitely told wrong…
@@DoItYourselfDad yeah, they tell me “they use PIR sensors and PIR sensors detect better left - right motion” which it doesn’t matter to me either way because in the end, they failed me. So now I have this camera and still need to buy something to replace it that does continuous recording with motion alerts as from reading forums, this is mainly a battery operated camera issue.
If you’re still looking for something that loop records these definitely are at the cameras. You’re not going to find anything that’s powered by a battery that is continuous loop recording.
I think a burgler can unscrew the camera just as easy as pulling it off a magnet.
There’s a tamper alarm you can activate that will go off in the camera is tampered with.
Needs HomeKit Secure Video.
These work with HomeKit.
@@DoItYourselfDad They now have the secure video stored on icloud via homekit secure video?
No need to, these save your footage locally, not on the cloud.
@@DoItYourselfDad so, I break in, loot your place and grab the homebase. You have no video.
Good luck with that.....
Also, if you wanted to, there is an option to upload to the cloud, or a LAN, or server.
When Apple decides to support anything higher than 1080p I'll consider it. 1080p for a security camera is borderline useless.
Iam in uk cant shop to me in uk 😔😔
These are available to buy in the UK.
yes seen them on amazon
