- EufyCam 2 Pro Security Cameras Setup and Install. EufyCam 2 Pro is the highest end of eufyCam's security cameras. It is a wireless camera with 2k resolution and all the other features without a subscription fee. This video shows you how to connect your cameras to your homebase and mount the cameras outdoor.
***Disclaimer: I was unable to connect the first camera to the homebase after multiple attempts. It took me 7 tries to finally connect but the wifi signal kept breaking off. The 2nd camera connected on 1st attempt and worked without any issues. I returned the entire box to BestBuy in exchange for a brand new one. Those are the cameras I mount outside. So far they are working great.***

hi, thanks for the helpful video. brand new to this and may purchase this today. it looks as though you said in the comments here that after setup, you can switch from using the ethernet cord to a wifi connect for the base. Yes? Next, I'm not clear on the footage and recording. If I wanted to look a some time yesterday, would that be an option? Thank you.
Thanks. I saw what I was looking to see. Cameras are pretty nice but I am not a fan of the non-removable batteries. Now I have to weigh between Arlo's new money grab cloud subscription or funky battery charging with Eufy.
I haven't seen security camera's with removable battery. Sadly the battery will degrade over time but it should be fine for first few years.
Can that Hub base (Home base) support some
USB flash storage or is it just for charging the
cameras ?!?
So far I only have one of the 5 up. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe My son ran out of time, with motion detector etc. I have it over my garage door. It works great. Have seen a couple of cats, my dogs, when I am out front. And had a bee buzzing around right in front of it. It works very well. It even shows the neighbour's driveway, but only shows movement just past my own, which is very long. I highly recommend them.
Thank you for the great tutorial. I think Eufy works on 2.4Ghz, does this mean your phone has to be connected to 2.4Ghz for it to work? Does that work if you normally use 5ghz to connect to your wifi, speakers Philips Hue etc? thanks
It doesn't matter what signal your phone is connected to. You'll still receive the video feed
My camera didn't come with a home base
Which one do I order
What width did you use to drill the holes? I'm having a hard time finding drill tips that are 15/64
You can go to 1/4". The hole will be a bit bigger but it still works
What size drill bit is preferred for drilling into brick?
The recommended size drill bit is 15/64". I didn't have one so I used 1/4" bit. It works but the hole is a little too big for the anchors.
Can this camera be jammed if someone has a wifi jammer

Why wouldn't you turn off the light that created the glare on your picture?
The lighting is bad in my room so I have to use an extra light
You left out the step of connecting to the router lan port and not the broadband port.
what if that twist part is stuck for me? i have to recharge battery but it wont let me twist left or right to take camera off mount
You will have to put some muscle into to take it off. No other way around it

1:01 is it possible to connect it wireless to my access point?
For the setup process you must connect it with ethernet. But it can be changed to wifi connection after the unit is setup.

I’m very disappointed after buying this because 1/ you cannot continuously steaming the video and 2/ it does not record 24/7 but only if there are motions

you can change the settings on the app if youd like
You can watch the live feed anytime. And most battery cameras don't record 24/7 because of space and battery draining. You'll need a much better security system for that application
