When the interviewer asked MJ what he thought of people’s perception of him being an asshole while all the shots of him winning simultaneously played was the best part. He started to get choked up and cut the interview off, you could tell he had some remorse for how he had treated people but that was the sacrifice he had to make to have that kind of success.

Thing was Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls were famous across the world and brought US basketball to the TV in Europe, something that has never really happened before or since. Watching the 90s footage in this series is like watching those late 80s early 90s videos shot in early HD cameras, or those music videos shot on film that get remastered every now and then. Even back then you'd watch these games on horrible fuzzy TV screens so even if you were alive back then, seeing footage from this time period in HD feels weird.

My uncle has been a successful business owner in many avenues of business in Philadelphia and the greater Philadelphia area. Through this success, he's had the incredible opportunity of meeting various celebs from or around Philly. One of these celebrities was Charles Barkley. One night, one of my uncle's business friends invited him and his then-wife out for a night on the town for a couple's dinner. To my uncle's surprise, Charles Barkley was not only joining them but was providing the transportation with his limo. After dinner, they all hopped back in the limo and proceeded to their next stop. At some point, the limo driver gets a call on his fancy car-phone (early 90s, not many cell phones), the driver rolls down the window and tells Charles, "Charles, that was Michael's pilot. No one can find Michael". Apparently, MJ and Charles had practice the next day for the 1992 Olympics and Michael had an early plane ride to get to wherever they had practice at but no one, including the pilot, could get in touch with him.
A few hours later, they found him. He was playing blackjack in the casino of the hotel he was staying at. He continued to play blackjack until 6 am then took his jet straight to practice. This man was RELENTLESSLY competitive.
