No Jay Will, that was absurd sir... that man called a man averaging 30 a game terrible.. even as a rookie dude was averaging 30..pippen smoke that good 😂😂
He was averaging more than 30 before pippen. He finished his career with 30ppg after pippen and with the wizards. Highest ppg in NBA history and scoring went up in the playoffs and finals. 😄 he also has the most win shares in nba history and for the nerds he has the best stats by metrics ever.
@@Rick-bi9fw I want to be that kind of horrible
Jay tries too hard to be a devil's advocate sometimes.
@collllllll that makes 2 of us. And for the jordan haters MJ took a pay cut so the bulls could make pippen the highest paid bull on the roster. Scottie made more career earnings with 110 million compared to Jordan's 94 million.
False he said he was all 1v1 and took bad shots and the fact your saying that when Scottie never paused and explained what he meant by it in the same sentence shows your bias and ignorance, btw Oakley said the same thing and nobody said ish.
The fact that Scottie keeps talking down about MJ and he doesn't say a word to defend himself. He doesn't need to. Everybody's criticizing SP. That itself is a sign of a GOAT
People that know who they are don’t mind what others think. There’s nothing to defend.
Scottie is just jealous
💯
His son is bangin out the mother of his kids. Nothing to say
It’s the ex-wife combined with the documentary. Jordan was unbelievable before Scottie came. They were able to build that team around Jordan. He was 6th in the MVP voting as a rookie. Scottie comes and adds around or less than 10 points a game. Pippen became a beast and that’s when things started to get better. Nobody forgot who Jordan was and still don’t. Scottie is just emotional about personal matters and needs some therapy.
Best explanation I’ve seen so far. MJ son been humpin on Scotties Ex Wife. Jordan let’s it happen.
If you my man’s why you letting ya son do this?
I think any person would be bitter in this situation.
Scottie never sent out his condolences to MJ about his father's death. And he did it purposely. Scottie said the only thing he regrets is not doing that. At that time MJ never realized Scottie did him like that purposely. Because MJ thought they were real friends. Look at how MJ looked at Scottie before their falling out, in their public reunions. MJ would be all smiles. Hugging on him and everything. But Scottie always secretly hated Mike. And now Mike is acting accordingly. I still would have forbid my son to date her tho. That's too messy. But MJ a savage🤷🏿♂️
To be fair MJ clearly a P.O.S.
Still the GOAT though lol
@@TDR-0484 not a great guy, but just wasn’t horrible as a player. Even in Washington
@@GodsSon86 His son is a grown man though. Who knows what MJ told him but he will make his own decisions.
Lol Jay Will that's embarrassing. Imagine trying to tell people that Michael Jordan was not good at basketball in 2023. It's kinda sad, he needs help
Scottie was drafted in 1987. He was on the end of the bench. Brad Sellers was the starter. 87-88 they lost with Scottie, 88-89 they lost to the Pistons again with Scottie. 89-90 They lost again with Scottie remember the Migrane headache in game 7 against the Pistons Scottie. Michael Jordan made Scottie. He was trash when he first came in the league. These are facts
Other fact people love to leave out is how Grant came in with Pippen and along w Cartwright were essential in making them competitive w the bigger teams. As you pointed out it took Pippen a while to reach all star level (thanks to training w MJ) that ultimately made them the most unstoppable duo on both ends.
@@esimms5101I'm glad you brought up Grant because he is definitely underrated.
You can't make a player if you don't have talent.
Mans just said MJ made Pippen 😭😭 nah Pippen put in work and became who he is MJ just so happened to be his teammate, Pippen was the second best player in the NBA in his prime thats what Jordan needed on his team to win😭 Give Bron KD or Steph in his prime he’s NEVER losing 🤦🏾♂️
1.) Pippen got better by playing with MJ. That’s a fact.
2.) Pippen was the 2nd best player once MJ retired, and still wasn’t good in clutch. Another fact.
3.) Lebron literally lost multiple finals with two HOFers on his team. He was 50% in the finals with the Heat.
You can be a LBJ fan, but at least be honest 😂

Jorfraud was 1-9 without Pippen in playoffs
MJ was already regarded as the best player in the world even before getting a single ring.

J Will sounds ridiculous trying to explain Pippen's actions away. You can't apply logic to actions driven by emotional turmoil, and Pip is deeply in his feelings. On top of all that, MJ's kid is smashing dude's ex-wife, maaan. Scottie's ego needs our thoughts and prayers right now.
Scottie is out of his mind.
Trying to make sense of nonsense?
Exactly! J Will talking nonsense instead of just saying that Pippen is trippin and needs help!
His ex wife dating mj’s son
Scottie is understandably hurt..
His statement doesn't make any sense, hope he recovers from all the things happened to him
Exactly before like 5-10 years he did not say this
Agreed. Jordan's son smashing Scottie's ex wife...yh I can understand he hurt. This ain't got nothing to do with basketball
@@MrKaziMan And he was saying all good stuff about Jordan until the ex-wife thing took place
considering who his said wife was, lmao I can see the hurt
Understand that Pippen lost one of his sons a little over a year ago. Add that to the situation with his ex-wife dating Jordan's son, the documentary, and (just like everyone else) overcoming the pandemic, he's not in a good mental space AT ALL.
Exactly 💯
Than he needs therapy and not social media.
After MJ retired the first time, Pip asked him to return to the Bulls.
After MJ retired the 2nd time, Pip was smiling in face and hugging him in public… all with this level of hate in your heart???
@@drewshepherd7601yes. I remember pippen asking him to return. I think he needs to really talk with Jordan and maybe have a therapist or psychiatrist there to really fix what is wrong. Or at least get some things sorted out
Max talking facts about MJ's play before Pippen while Jay talking emotions about playing with someone like Jordan.
Exactly. Furthermore, I will take winning all the time over someone being passive and hoping to win.
J Will understands how Scottie feels. Because like Jordan was with UNC, J Will was also an NCAA champ with Duke and yet, he didn't get near stardom status, when he played with the Bulls. That's why J Will is always salty towards Jordan whenever Jordan is brought into discussion. This makes his credibility lower and lower every time.
I have a question for the chat.
If MJ doesn't push Scottie, does Scottie become a top 50 all-time player or a HOF player??
While we talk about his style with teammates, MJ took a team without a perennial Allstar to the finals and won. Pippen was an all-star in 90. But wasn't in 91 when they won a ring. Many thought that was because of that game 7, where people believed Pippen faked a migraine because he was scared of the Pistons.
Honestly. If mj doesn’t push Scottie- he wouldn’t be in the top 250
I’m being honest. Look At Scotties numbers before the bulls and watch how he played in Portland. He looked like he didn’t want to be there.
Scottie recently admitted that in his 1st few years in the league he was more concerned with that party life. Any bets that he was actually hungover for game 7 in 1990 ECF as opposed to the migraine excuse ????
Pippen on tha ROCK 😂😂😂😂
He free basing 😊😂
Scottie Rockie 😆😆😆
0:24 Listen. I rock with Scottie. I think he was a top 10 player in the 90's. But the top 2-3? Nah Max, I gotta disagree. With guys like Shaq, Karl Malone, David Robinson, and Patrick Ewing in the league he wasn't top 5.
Not talent-wise. But Pippen has way more jewelry than all those guys on top of being 3x all-nba first, 8x all defense first.
@@SojiFro_0 jewelry don't matter. Teams win championships. The dude played with MJ. He was never a top 3 player
@@jeremiahsmith7706 Rings matter, especially when you contribute to a championship team like Pippen. MJ made him top 2-3. No one else on your list could make it over the hump.
@@SojiFro_0 no. They don't. Thats like tryna argue Kyrie in 2016 was better than Kevin Durant. We rank players based on their production. Not on if they win a ring. Scottie was never a top 3 player
@@jeremiahsmith7706
Again, if you want to talk about pure individual talent, sure, Pippen definitely not top 3. But you can’t name a player from the 90s with higher production than Pippen-besides Mike-because he was the second best player on the team that dominated the 90s.
You're playing with words, Jay Williams. Don't mix up being a horrible TEAMMATE with being a horrible PLAYER. MJ, even by his own account, was a horrible teammate. He was NEVER a horrible player, even during his Wizards years.
Amen!
horrible teammate is a horrible player, people just give Jordan a pass
@@khal7702 That's not true. Horrible teammate means MJ is aggressive, arrogant, extremely pushing and demanding (to himself and his teammates) and borderline bullying. But he did all that to win. You can hate him as a teammate and it's fair, but it's not fair to criticize his game and competitiveness.
@@khal7702 You never watched Jordan play yet you are making ludicrous claims. So what kind of person does that make you? Horrible? Dumb? Or both?
Should Jordan do like Lebron and just trade away his teammates? And tell them outloud so the court mic picks up the conversation? Jordan worked with what he had and won. And as Draymond Green said; teammates and leaders are not as nice when not infront the cameras
@@khal7702 Pippen isn't a particularly good teammate or player. He was just the 2nd best option on the Bulls. Pippen averages a splendid 15 points per game at an inefficient 40% shooting during NBA finals games. As mediocre as that was, he was the 2nd highest Bulls scorer. As during finals it was rare for another Bulls player to average even 10. With Jordan averaging 34+. But you never watched any of the games. You just go on the internet and spew nonsense while hiding behind internet anonymity 24/7
Love that Jordan pays Scottie no mind who seems desperate and will say anything for attention for guys like this to talk about it
Jwill got SCHOOLED here. Even thought he played & Max didn’t cmon J, Scottie is trying to DEFAME the greatest thing that ever happens to him. Claiming Batman ain’t Batman without robin without acknowledging there is No Robin without Batman. Scottie ain’t top 75 if he never plays with MJ but MJ is still top without him despite probably not winning as much rings but still
Scottie wants to play in today's NBA where friends are more important than chips. Kobe was the last breed of that old generation.
For a man that took 3 years to develope and didn't even play in the NCAA, only averaging 9 points a game in his 1st season as a rookie, criticize a legend who hit the ground running averaging 28 points a game in his rookie season is absurd.
Scottie really mad at Marcus Jordan true shooting percentage against larsa pippen
JWill out here arguing like Skip Bayless 😂😂😂
In 2021, Scottie's son passed away and he went through the divorce of his ex-wife. Pippen has not been the same since. It's not just the Last Dance and MJ's son dating his ex-wife, but the losing of his child has really changed him. I believe he needs help
I remember how Scottie transformed into a Zen-like individual after the 1994 playoffs (the one where Jackson gave Kukoc the last shot). He's been that way for decades, but now I don't recognize him. I feel sorry for him and hope he finds peace some day.

@@Thanosdidtherighthing Was Shaq in his prime in Scottie Pippen prime during this bulls championship runs? Shaq was a baby
People forget. Before Jordan joined the NBA, he won the gold medal in the 1984 Olympics for team USA. Enroute to said Olympics, Jordan lead his team USA in beating the NBA ALL Stars in all 8 exhibition games. The ALL Star team comprised of Magic, Bird, and Isaiah Thomas amoung others. Jordan was still in college! One thing we have to remember is that professional sports is a business. A multimillion dollar business. Making a profit is the objective. To get there, you have to win. If Pippen wanted to make friends, he should have joined his local park for pick up ball.
MJ averaged 37.1 a game and averaged one 3 pointer attempted a game the year before Scottie got to the team . Playing against teams that pounded on him every time he drove. Played in all 82 games and was third in the NBA in steals It's one of the greatest stat seasons in NBA history.
They were having 2 different conversations without knowing it. Jay was talking about how Jordan was as a teammate. Max was talking about that ridiculous “horrible player” comment.
yup
BS MJ was the top player in the NBA before Scottie you morons. The Bulls were swept by the Celtics in the playoffs in Jordan's second season when he missed most of it with a broken foot. He begged Krause and Reinsdorf to let him play against the Celtics and as a result of that the Bulls almost won one game in the old Boston Garden. 20 year old MJ played all 53 minutes of a overtime game and scored 64 points. The After the game Larry Bird was asked what he thought about MJ and Larry said that that was not Michael Jordan but God disguised as Michael Jordan. If Scottie had never become a Bull they would have found a few role players and won titles or MJ would have left the Bulls and won titles. Scottie would have been just another one of a couple of dozen star players on any other team but he could never have been seen as the almost super star that MJ made it possible for him to appear to be. I FACT of life
Jay, Will can’t help but making the conversation as less about basketball as possible to later on elevate LeBron over Jordan. He not slick. Bringing up how his teammates felt about him when at the end of the day they won…
Scottie is just bitter cuz of his portrayal in the Last Dance. Prior to that he had no public problems with MJ but ever since MJ said he acted selfish and they showed Pippen not taking the floor when Phil called the play for Kukoc he has been on a tear.
Robin would never disrespect Batman
Pippen is ruining his legacy more than the last dance ever did. The doc is not as bad as he’s making it. Pips mouth is!!

Max is one of the few guys on these platforms that will consistently speak facts. Aside from when he said he’d take Iguodala 😂
Not to mention MJ won defensive player
Of the year (something Scottie never did even when Jordan retired the first time) while averaging 30 BEFORE Scottie took off as well! If not for Jordan we don’t know Scottie.

The only reason why he's saying this is because his son plays for the Lakers. He's trying to keep Lebron happy so he doesn't have his son traded.
Scottie talks like he would have gotten all those rings w/ out Mike 😂😂😂😂😂😂… I mean make it make sense
This is why I can’t listen to Jwill sometimes. What he said WAS ABSURD.
MJ didn't have a team he can trust, nor did they run the post offense. And it was Phil that talked to MJ about trusting the offense, and his teammates. They made Pip the point forward to alleviate some of the responsibilities from MJ. Pip was one of the greatest role players to ever suit up. MJ the greatest player, let's not get it twisted Scottie You learned to play your role in the Bulls success. You weren't the reason for it. If it wasn't you someone else would of learned to play that role. You were the one that didn't play against the Pistons. You were the one that got made because Phil knew Tony was a better shooter than you, and refused to take the court. Talk about bad teammates
I wish I could pin 📌 this comment and stick it on every major sports channel so that the like or J will and Nick wrong and Shannon can see it.
M.J. has consistently said throughout his career that he wouldn't have gotten to where he had gotten to with the bulls Without Pippin... Some of us that listen to these podcasts are old enough to remember.. Some Listeners. are too young to do the research..

"The horrible thing is not wrong." - huh? Jay's a bit off there. Granted he's right that it could rub some guys the wrong way and Jordan did tear through teammates (Rodney McCray & Dennis Hopson come to mind) but that guys mentality was to PROVE he was the best, and to do so he thought he needed to win decisively. Mike wasn't a nice guy at work. But he respected the guys he WON with. And he respected guys that truly competed with him.
Jay is a good dude but whenever it comes to Jordan he tries to defend anybody that disses Jordan. I don't understand it. Yeah there might've been few, just few players who said similar things that Scottie had said but usually those are the ones who lost to Jordan. 99% of the people out there thinks Jordan was great before Scottie came into Chicago. So I don't know why Jay trying to defend Scottie.
Scottie is going through it. Clearly this has do with Larsa. MJ was a horrible player , really ?
Why not complain as they were winning championship after championship. I used to be a fan of scottie. I loved the energy of both players, the team and the coach. If Scottie would've said that Jordan was a terrible teammate without saying he was a terrible player, that's fine. But to say that Jordan was a terrible player is in fact absurd. JWill's comments are idiotic. Saying that Jordan rubbed people the wrong way (which no one would argue if that's what Scottie had said) is completely different than saying Jordan was a horrible player.

Scottie said all the right things until he used the word “terrible” to describe MJ. Like why even go there lol
Ya I don’t think Scottie is wrong but as soon as he said “Terrible” he lost the entire crowd.
1:27 needless jab there Jay, not sure why but yeah the idea that he was horrible is absurd. If you just extracting him as a teammate sure call him whatever not a player. And no, others have not said that about MJ, the worse criticism any other player gave was his interpersonal relationship. Which has nothing to do with him as a player.
Ppl only want to hear positive things about Jordan.
You'll never get the accolades or praise of MJ, SP just chill , dam, call MJ and tell him how you feel instead of keep trashing him in books and to the media, you're only diminishing the respect that people have for you, dam, you not happy ??
Even though Scottie Pippen is hating if you listen to exactly what he said, he is right before the team became the team it was just Michael Jordan versus five other players, taking some bad shots scoring a lot of points when they formed the team it was different . Let’s be real.
But Jay, Jordan didn't rub up Scottie in a wrong way thought. Scottie always have said Jordan was the greatest but after the Last Dance he started to change his stance on it.
Scottie is just mad mj son is jab stepping 🚶♂️ his ex wife !!!

It's like how the 1st Robin is hating on Batman LOL
“Terrible player” and “terrible to play with” are different. One is completely absurd, the other is plausible and a matter of opinion.
LeBron being the greatest statistical player? Yeah. He’s got the math and longevity. Can’t argue with that statement.
Shut up
Wilt Chamberlain is possibly the greatest statistical player as well, the whole thing about it’s definitely Lebron is a little silly. Pippen would have no idea if Jordan was terrible to play with before he joined the team, because he literally wasn’t there.
Facts Pippen💯💪🏾🤞🏾!!!!!!
Jordan would be the first to admit that he grew as a player, and learned to trust his teammates. He was, even at the start, easily the best athlete the league had ever seen, so no, he was not terrible; in 1988 Jordan won MVP, DPOY, led the league in steals, and was the all-star MVP, so Scottie is clearly wrong. Jordan had a few weaknesses at the start (his jumper, for one) and he addressed them through hard work. We could say the same about Scottie; he came into the league raw, and lacking confidence. Scottie didn't really grow into his own game until his fourth year in the league. I'll always have the ultimate respect for Scottie, but he's wrong, and perhaps a bit bitter.
Scottie Pippen got tired of not getting his due credit, and he's speaking up. I agree with him. Unfortunately, sports media isn't any more honest than news media. Selectively, partially quoting someone = misquoting them.
He was given his props he just wanted more than he deserved. Question who would you allow take you last deciding shot,MJ or PIPPEN?

How much credit does Scottie want? Any and every interview you can find where MJ is talking about Scottie, he’s talking highly about Scottie. Every time. SCOTTIE is the one that changes his stance every year!
Pippen is entitled to his own opinion but why would he put a horrible player in his starting 5 ..this is why you can't take this man seriously.
Pippen is like Draymond Green. He is only who and what he is because he played with MJ, if he was playing elsewhere, he would have been irrelevant. Just like Green is with Curry. If Green is playing elsewhere, he will not be relevant as well. 😂😂😂😂
Jordan son sleeping with Larsa. Not rocket science. Scottie is pissed about it.
Scottie is just a sensitive Cindy.
Poor Pippen. I hope I’m never that bitter.
Let's try to add a few more things then:
1) Jordan was 1-9 in 10 playoffs games before Pippen.
2) Pippen was 6-4 in 10 playoffs games in between Jordan's short baseball stint.
3) Bulls have an overhaul rosters for the first 3-peat and second 3-peat, only Jordan and Pippen are involved in both 3-peats.
Pipen nose is growing like Pinocchio.
A great orator once said:“I ain’t saying he shoulda said it … but I understand!“ 😂
But see ima condense what i say I applaud that movie hustle for teaching how to get through a Hurdle like this
Max is relatively correct but his comment about LeBron taking any group of teammates on deep playoff runs isn't factual. Firstly since he entered the west he has not made the playoffs and gotten booted from the first round. Also his deep eastern conference runs were during the historical weakest eastern conference period in nba history. During all those runs he was a total of 10 and 9 against 50 win teams. That is such a bad winning percent and low number of series comparatively. For example kobe is 26 and 10 against 50 plus win teams. He played less series as well BTW. LeBron ball only gets you so far, he can't play any other way..
And he has had more help than most superstars and accomplished less. So Max was wrong on those two points.
Since he entered the West he never entered the playoffs and got booted on first round?????your just gonna ignore the fact tha bron won championship and got the conference semis.......even if yiu hate someone to be that biased it makes you seem obsessive

ya'll don't get the point. Scottie Pippen is making, and he said, "How is basketball a team player sport but only talked about one individual player
😂 I'm a hardcore MJ fan, I love MJ more than Scottie. But if MJ is really what we think he is - G O A T? Then what happened to 1984-1991? Best part is the Bulls of 1991-1998 will have a fkin hard time defending the superstar shooters of this era. What's sad is that, Scottie didn't get the accolade he deserves.
You gotta get it right Max..Bird said he was " Jesus in gym shorts"
I met Scottie Pippen at the Manele Bay Hotel on Lanai in 1994 ? I feel for Scottie going through his hard times. I wish greedy Michael would cut Scottie a 50 million dollar check as he says to himself: “I would never had garnered the fame I did if not for Scottie Pippen by my side as the best possible teammate I could ever ask for. Let me help him through this hard time for old times sake”
If greedy Michael could help out Scottie it only would be becoming and befitting.
At times I consider his comments in the guise of suing he was a horrible team game player over not a good player when he speaks on the solely one on one and how they didn’t start winning until they adopted a team game and that people forgot about his prior play. And in that light I don’t totally agree because I think the people around him prior to Scottie necessitated him to play that way but I can at least grasp the comments in that light.
I like to think Pippen was trying to say Jordan was a horrible team player.
Lol because the man had no team
We should leave some room for the very real probability that Pippen tripped over his words a bit, and meant something closer to what he said immediately in the next breath: "he was horrible to play with"
Even that might be hyperbole, and debatable period, but is a MUCH more reasonable take, echoed by many.
I wonder what kind of thing Scottie is smoking 🤣I get that he hates to be remembered as a second fiddle to Jordan, but in reality, he was just that. At this point, it is sad to see Pippen keep chirping at Jordan. Isiah's beef with Jordan (or Jordan's beef is Isiah) is at least understandable but Pippen's beef is just weird and makes him look like a loser to the eyes of many.
Jay Will copped out and avoided the conversation. Gotta keep the door open for Bron Bron.
