Yep but I think it mainly comes down money. Scottie sees the difference between what he has and what Mike has and in his head he believes the difference is too big as he feels Mike was not that much greater than him. However Mike was just marketable, he had the IT factor that went beyond the court, and his style of play was also more exciting than Scottie's. But as a 'Robin' to 'Batman', Scottie feels he wasn't compensated enough. However a lot of this has to do with him not making sure he signed the right deals, and marrying a gold digging thot. He can't accept the bad choices he made and the recent death of his son has probably sent Pip over the edge so now he's pointing fingers at Mike, also with the incentive to try and sell his book for $$$

The fact he didn’t make an allstar team while averaging like 2.5 steals and a block while putting up solid offensive stats baffles me. Especially when Wiggins is an all star nowadays or even in the 2000s mo Williams and devin Harris
Scottie Pippen was in the category as Jerry Rice. They both played at small schools, then because of there drive and talent, succeeded to Hall of Fame levels.

How good was Larsa Pippen actually? She got through Pippens defence, her offensive game in the divorce was superior to Pippens and screened him out of his fortune.
Without Rodman too. He doesn't have the clutch shot gene. One of the reasons he lost that series in the playoff 1994. Kawhi Leonard is a better version of Pippen. More injury prone though. I don't think anybody else plays like him on both ends. 1. LeBron is good defender only when he wants to and helps most of the times. This is one of the biggest reasons people don't see effort from him on defense. He's like IQ defending with his size which is alright. 2. Giannis is not a SF anymore so can't compare Pippen to him. 3. Paul George is alright but not a winner. You can see stars playing amazing but still lose in a series. When watching Paul George, apart from a few shots, you can see that he ain't gonna win. 4. Marion can be compared to him. He was never a superstar but had the numbers very similar to Pippen. 5. You notice the two players there holding up the championship trophy at 11:16? That's Pippen and Jordan, together. What Pip is doing now is really tarnishing his reputation.
I think Pippen was hurt by the way Jordan left out Pippen shining moments during their run, but brought out all of his failures. Key moments that the last dance omitted were: 92 NBA Finals game 6 when the Bulls came back after being down by 15 points in the 4th quarter led by Pippen. While MJ was on the bench. Pippens exploits in 93 vs the Knicks Pippen blocking Charles Smith. 95 Pippen leads his team in every major category. And was literally a one man show. The game saving steal in 97 to seal the Bulls 5th Championship. Why were those big moments left out?

@@wilfredjones4042 I honestly don't believe Pippens issue with the last dance was the acknowledgment of his low points. It was the lack of putting his high points on display. The Knicks were in great position to get the rebound if the foul isn't called, so the knicks still could've won that game without the foul. The Bulls had almost 3 sec left and threw the ball away. There's no guarantee if the Bulls won game 5 that they win the series and they had two more games to win the series and didn't. I doubt the Bulls get pass the Pacers as Miller was a different player come Playoff time. The Bulls aren't beating Hakeem Rockets in a 7 game series that's disrespectful to even say so. People believed the Bulls would had been out of the playoffs race for those two seasons. Before Jordan came back, the Bulls were ranked 6th in the East. Of course the Chicago Bulls were incredibly efficient with Jordan running the SG spot and we remembered why he was the face of the league against the Knicks (double nickle against them)! But, Chicago weren't bad at all without MJ. They were surprising on many levels. When Orlando eliminated Chicago, we saw the Bulls lacked an interior defensive presence and a solid rebounder in order to slow down the duo of Shaquille O'Neal and Horace Grant. To put in perspective how good Pippen & those Bulls teams were, just look at their record the first year without Jordan compared to the previous one. Considering who MJ was, you'd think losing the Greatest Player in all of human history would dramatically collapse your record, yet they only lost *TWO* more games. That's it. 1992-1993 with Jordan they won 57 games. 1993-1994 without Jordan, they won 55 games. They didn't win the Championship, but that still speaks volumes about how good Pippen & Co. were. Just imagine the Cavs after losing Lebron, or the Lakers after losing Shaq (and later Kobe). But here we're talking about losing the actual GOAT, yet they managed to win 55 games anyway. THAT is a true testament to Scottie's greatness. The team was solid all around, but having 2 x top 50 players of all time sure helps (and later, 3 x top 75 players with Rodman).
Except this ignores 95 when the Bulls was closed to being a .500 team. Keep in mind despite Jordan leaving in 94, the core of the Bulls remained unchanged. The minute they lost more of their pieces, they fall apart and Pippin wanted a trade.

If he was on any other team, he would've been the MJ of that team, and he would've drawn comparisons to MJ. Granted, not as good as MJ, but he was right there. Offense, defense....he could do it all. He was a star coming out of college. It was almost like having two MJ's on one team, which is insane. I just hope people nowadays don't overlook Pip, because he really was that legendary. He was no #2 shadow man. He is just CRIMINALLY underrated because he was on the same team as MJ. He's definitely a top 25-30 player of all-time...no doubt. If he wasn't on the same team as MJ, probably much higher, because MJ took a lot of stats that would've went to him, had he been a #1 guy on another team.
he had the chance to be on other team and shined and he didn't he couldn't be a MJ on any other team he needed to have a superstar beside him so that he could play his perfect role which is being right hand man of the mega star but after he left the Bulls and he still got game for a few years he forgot that that was his purpose not to be the main man but to be the main assist, the right hand man. that is why those few years after the Bulls when he still got game he couldn't succeed because he wanted to be something he was not. He could have been better with the aging Ollajuan and Barkley at least for the first two seasons but he was bitter and didn't want to be support and was more trouble than help. Had he calmed down and played his game and supported the last spark left in Barkely and Ollajuan i think he could have win a championship with that team if he would have become the back bone as the right hand man or left hand man for the aging stars but he wanted to step out of MJ's shadow and be the main man but he wasn't cut out for that, that is why he messed up, that is why he is so bitter. He wasn't content with his lot which was great and awesome, but as a right hand man

@@dynamic6645 Bad argument. Leading in defensive win shares doesn't mean a player is automatically and unequivocally defensive player of the year. There are so many reasons why this is true. Take for instance the position the player actually plays. Jordan was defending scorers more often than Hakeem was. He was out on the perimeter defending the guys with the deadliest first steps. Hakeem was defending stiff centers many times.
@@dynamic6645 Yup, yup, yup. By the way, that was THE VERY FIRST season Jordan finished above .500. It also HAPPENED to be Pippen's rookie season when he and Grant controlled enough of the basic defense that gave Jordan the freedom to go stat chasing.

Also a lot of those players admitted they got their desire to win because of how hard MJ pushed them in practise... that kind of mentality doesn't just go away. It's actually one of the difference between MJ & LBJ in my opinion. MJ helped build the core of a team, especially mentally, so they were strong without him. LBJ doesn't build from the core, he prefers to recruit and with him in that team they always have a chance but never long term, which is why they collapse without him. Prior to the 87 draft Jordan was lobbying Krause to select former Tar Heel teammate Joe Wolf in the draft. Instead he went totally left field and took the unknown Pippen out of the obscure NAIA. Jordan was reported to have stormed out of the room in disgust. Jordan was not initially happy with Pippen in Chicago and its quite laughable you jockers are claiming that he took Pippen under his wing and made him into the player he became. Kukoc shot a career high 50.4% with Pippen as team leader with Jordan gone, compared to only 45.5% when Jordan was team leader with Pippen gone. The idea that Jordan makes players better is nothing but one big myth perpetuated by the American media. Pippen distributes the ball to all players and helps everyone on defense. Kukoc averaged about 16 points on 50.4% shooting under Pippen, compared to only 13 points on 45.5% shooting under Jordan. Kukoc took around 11 shots in both cases. Jordan didn't make teammates better, he took away from them. Just look at the statistical performances of Bulls players before and after they joined Jordan. Pippen turned two of his teammates into All-Stars in one year, something Jordan never did once in his career. Guys like Bill Cartwright, BJ Armstrong, Horace Grant, Charles Oakley, Jerry Stackhouse, and Christian Laettner became All-Stars when they weren't Jordan's teammate.

I think Pippen was hurt by the way Jordan left out Pippen shining moments during their run, but brought out all of his failures. Key moments that the last dance omitted were:

Pippens exploits in 93 vs the Knicks
Pippen blocking Charles Smith.

@@Ramona122003 they loss all of big man: Scott Williams left, Ho. Grant left, Stacy King left, Bill Cartwright retired, and Luc Longley miss half the season. And they brought 4 to 5 new players. Meaning Pippen had to be the interior and perimeter defense and score, meaning used rate went the roof. In still kept above .500 and in the hunt for the playoffs . Plus the Bulls was on 10 game winning streak before Jordan came back, largely due to Longley coming back to help the interior. Speak all the fact before you say something.
@@tonyjohnson4347 And they were still barely above .500, Pippin was ready to jump ship and pointed to his Jordans on national TV and gestured for Jordan to come back. How is that a sign of a franchise not sinking? That isn't even considering how Jordan massively helped the Bulls when his body was still that of a baseball player. If anything, all you told me is that Luv did more to help the Bulls than Luv considering that in 98, Jordan had to carry the team for most of the season as the lone superstar since Pippin was out and Rodman had declined.
@@Ramona122003 Losing Horace Grant was a big blow to the team because he was the team's best big man. With other decent bigs gone and Longley missing half of the season they had no inside presence which doomed them against the Magic in the playoffs where they clearly had no answers against Shaq or Grant. The following season Rodman arrives and they win 72 games and destroy everyone in the playoffs.
Added several key players, were defending champions and still had Phil and didnt win the ring. Next
Every player like Jordan desperately needs a Pippen. One of the best ever!
One of the most most underrated NBA greats ever!
MJ's greatness with the bulls wouldn't be possible without Pippen period.
Yes it would. M.oron
Scotty Pippen was the most flexible athlete probably in history. He could play any position and he was an amazing defender.
Y'all gotta do a career retrospective on jason kidd ... steve nash.... Isiah Thomas...and manu Ginobili
Finally Pippen gets the praise he deserves. And the truth!
The most complete player ever.
I grew up watching/loving the Bulls. It's funny, everyone loved MJ, and don't get me wrong, I did too, but Pippen was my favorite player! His Defense was ridiculous! He could cover almost anyone and give them headaches all game.
No he wasnt ya liar
I have been a huge Scottie fan all my life. I gotta say that he was a genius on the court but a bit silly immature one off it.
However I do agree with him that the last dance should give more credits to other bulls players, especially Pippen.
The last dance was about Michael Jordan it wasn’t about the bulls
@@ajsavage9585 yeah, obviously, but it should be about the team, coz Phil Jackson named the season ‘The Last Dance’, right?
Yep that’s true
They dion't want people to know about pippen because of the "jordan mystique". they want everybody to think jordan was god. Because having a god is good for the NBA's business model. they also don't want people to know that jordan was 0-6 without scottie
The last dance was to revive the hype for MJ to get his shoe selling hotter than pancakes.
23 + 33 + 91 = LOVE
Without Scottie Pippen Chicago Bulls could not win six titles.
Legend, and anyone who says otherwise shouldn’t be talking basketball
He's a perfect compliment player to a superstar he can play guard to forward can bring down the ball and rebound. He knows his role to the team
Not hating on micheal Jordan but is Scottie cared about his stats we might be talking about him with Jordan and lebron as the goats of the league
Scottie and Mike always looks like a duo that ace every exam in high school
there combined IQ is like 10 hell nah
@@kayjayedits6488 for real
Damn man, even in a "how good was Pippen" video still gotta have Jordan highlights
You cant talk about Pippen without Jordan, like how you can talk about Bird without Magic.
@@leetorry you can talk about Bird without Magic. But there's no Pippen without Jordan. Jordan is Jordan, with or without Pippen
@@IykeDerek Nah, if u talk about bird, u definitely have to talk about Magic. Their rivalry saved the NBA. Larry and Magic was basically the Messi and Ronaldo of NBA.
Legend! One of the best all around players i've ever seen.
The late 90's Rockets logo was one of my favorite as a kid, the smiling rocket was so cool. Ahhh the 90's.
I hated it.
Leaving his off the field, lets call it "personality" aside, pippen was the "perfect" side kick and he is still the "blue print" what team look for, want in a small forward position, even after his retirement so long ago.
I trained him to be the best...
-Ron, The Almighty Rat King
Damn bro, 1st off it's a honor to even reply to u. But do u think u could teach me some of the skills passed down from the #1 OG Rat King himself, Theo Von. Gang Gang brother!!!
Been waiting on this one, this man been tweaking
Scottie reminds me a lot of KD. There's been some hardships that caused the comments by media and fans to get to him. I hope he returns to enjoying his legacy and can block out the noise .
I don't like Pip's recent antics, but he was a legit mega superstar. He was that great. He was just always in MJ's shadow, so he was always overlooked and taken for granted.
He wasn't content with his lot which was great and awesome, but as a right hand man
@ungido30 one year and half in his prime...really! I don't wanted after the Bulls because he was past his prime multiple surgeries. Plus do you think the league is going to let him win a championship without when was suspended, I mean retired playing baseball...lol!
So Jordan focused the majority of his energy on scoring?? Then how did he win DPOY, 3X steals leader, and 9X All Defense?

LOL and the voting wasn't even close either. Jordan also got some MVP votes in the 1994-1995 season where he only played 17 games. That explains that this dude is so coddled by the media, it's insane !
@@dynamic6645 I pray that this is some weird copy pasta. If not, then what a massive waste of time lol
@@Taj_Rahine yep copy paste you guessed it LOL
Pippen is tripping. MJ clearly said there was no MJ without scottie giving him props
The bulls reached ECF without jordan, mj never had that success without pippen, no hate just sayin
@@mangkanor126 Different scenario completely. Pippen was already on a team that knew how to win and was well implemented in the Phil Jackson system. MJ made team mates better, LBJ makes teams better
@@GoGetYourShinebox This notion that he took Pippen under his wing and molded him into the great he became is a complete joke. If you never experienced any winning prior to 87-88 and were mostly known for scoring in bunches on losing teams ..... How on earth are you able to *"show"* players how to win and improve ?
Jordan didn't make teammates better, his teammates made HIM better.
@@GoGetYourShinebox Kyrie played his best 2 finals series with Bron, in the 2019 playoffs with Boston, he averaged 21 ppg 38 FG% 31 3P%
@@dynamic6645 You are wrong. . You say Pippen is better without MJ? After the 94 finals, Pippen made a video holding a pair of Jordans crying, asking MJ to unretire.
Pippen also illustrated in his book that playing in Chicago without Jordan was some of the worst experience in his life. You lost this debate big time
He was Sensational. Great player…
If he's among the 5 or 6 best small forwards ever, well, that is the most important position in basketball. So that puts him pretty high in the all time list.
Pip is def top 5 SF all time and top 20 player all time.
See people say Jordan is the goat however his team made it to the second round without him. That's how good his team was they were stacked
The Scottie dunk over Ewing in 94 was in game 6 at Chicago Stadium which the Bulls won to forced a game 7 at Madison square garden. The narrator said the Bulls lost that game.
