Forget the explosion: being knocked into water from a speeding truck and being 100% okay is crazy. That water is going to feel like concrete at a certain point.

So this game actually had an entire choice/reputation system which was scrapped. On PC, you can sometimes still trigger some cut-dialogue when using a trainer.
That reputation system would've impacted many endings. Most notably Boozer. He could've died to his sickness, done a sudoku out of depression after amputation or actually die at the end. What we got, however, is a weird "good ending" I guess? Hard to say exactly what parts would be good/bad endings.
This explain why the game's pacing is dogshit, why there's different plotlines with different completion percentages.

I always found it how odd that all of the major protagonist characters (aside from Iron Mike) pretty much survive no matter what. Not just Boozer, but even someone like Lisa or Sarah. Hell in my initial playthrough, I thought there was going to be a moment where you could have Deacon get into a relationship with Rikki...and then I learned about the 20 other hours of game involving the DCM. Thank you for informing on this.

I played this and death stranding during the pandemic and I think the depressing pandemic vibes made me feel like Deak closed off and trying to find something to hold onto in this hell.

The biggest downfall was cut content-but I fucking LOVE this game regardless. I personally feel like there's a lot to love, and a sequel would probably right the wrongs if it ever gets to happen.

I never played Days Gone, I saw gameplay and, while I loved the whole horde thing,I just felt something was... weird and off about it,simply didn't click for me.
I admit I do like the setting and biking culture, but that was pretty much it.
With that said I found it so damm hilarious how the game's director and creative director act like this game is the 2nd coming of christ. "The game sold as much as Ghost of Tsushima, we deserve a sequel!", while conveniently forgetting that Days Gone took more time to develop and only to be received as definelty one of 7/10 games to ever exist.
I also remember forcing myself to both watch a walk through AND a story explanation, and I cannot remember a single thing from the characters. Except that scientist's reveal at the end of the game, because that was the most interesting thing.

I thought it was a good game, probably because I'm pretty easily satisfied when it comes to games. Great video too!
