As far as I'm concerned the Video Game is not based on the TV show. The TV show is based on the game, and they created it as a sort of advertisement for the game. The show did come out before the show, so maybe this soured (pun intended) the taste in people's mouth for Viva Pinata in general.
One more thing, in the 19:30 Romance Minigame, in Trouble in Paradise at least, once you have at least 6 of the same Pinata, that's when the hearts start flashing, and if you collect them all you will 100% get a wildcard pinata. There are 3x different wildcard variants for each pinata, you will only get one random type this way unfortunately. To get the second wildcard type, you have to have 4x wildcards of the first variant, 6x of the same pinatas in total, and doing the minigame after gets you the 2nd wildcard variant. The third wildcard you probably just have to trade for, from other gamers. I wanted to say, great video, really well edited and scripted.
this game means so much to me, and with the limited amount of media covering the game, this video also means so much to me. i played this game at 5 years old, and today, being 18, i still love it so dearly.
Viva pinata isn't a simplified harvest moon it's like a combo of multiple things like animal crossing and stardew valley but still somehow different. It's like a tamagotchi x gardening sim
I think Viva Piñata could get big if they release a sequel, while gardening games have become common many suffer with low budgets, boring visuals and lack of challenge or complexity. There are many mechanics they could still add to the series.
I would like to just point out that the game is not based on the cartoon. The cartoon was made while the game was in development and was meant to plant Viva Pinata as an iconic IP from the outset. Unfortunately the cartoon and the game were so different and the cartoon was terrible.
Huh? Strange I could’ve swore the computer version came first as it has way less stuff than the Xbox 360? I thought the Xbox version was like a viva pinata 2.0
As far as I know, the cartoon was based on the game, I guess it was made to promote the game.
Me personally, I think the show is incredible.
This is what happened. The cartoon was basically a vessel for selling the HD experience.
Thank you for this great video! It’s such high quality, I’m very surprised to see you have only 300 views
This is a cool video! So glad people still talk about this series on RUclips!
Nice job on the video JK! And thanks for the PTSD that was trying to catch Kacey... That was pain watching it live.
played this game most part of my 10+ years. so much fond memories, it was a heartwarming game, really got me into farm games

I love gardens. I love animals. I love sweets. I love wordplay. I WOULD love a third VP.
The vista joke got me good! Great video!
Ive been going through youtube watching everyones reviews of this game and it just feels me with so much nostalgia that I wanna cry lmao.

By far, Viva Piñata was Rare’s most successful franchise
My mom said she loved watching us kids play the game. It's so cosy, relaxing and the music is so beautiful.

Sis and I only played the demo to Viva Pinata...we got a lot of mileage out of it.
I was never able to make the lion visit my garden. I had a dragon, but not a lion.
Fun fact: viva piñata wasnt based on the tv show but vice-versa its just the show cane out first
I can't believe you don't have more subs

Gamers: hate any game that's not 60fps
me who never cared about fps: finally inner peace
fantastic game, apart from gameplay I just love its characters and world design it feels like a dream.
