We`re trying to finish our Expense within 25K, because our goal is to Retire by 40-45, if the expense is High, we need to extend our Retirement further.
This method can be applied to any age, but the thing is the waiting period for the Compounding on your Investments to occur, if we can`t wait long enough, then we need to increase our Investments.
Yes, if you look into last 5 years of Nifty 50 (mutual fund) you can easily see there is a good growth and it will surely follow as India is a developing country
