Hi, just got a 1941 Singer 241-2 (for free!) and thought I would put a servo I have lying around on it, but it turns out the entire setup, the machine, the motor, the table, bobbin winder and switch box are original to 1941 and in great shape so now I don't want to separate them. I will be trying this cleaning method to get the clutch to slip nicely again. Thanks for making this video!

Update: this worked great! It's a little eager to start moving fast but I can go slow enough to navigate turns and inch up to a needle-down 90 degree turn etc. Thanks for the video!

    Hello Again,
Thank you for doing this video, I appreciate it very much.
I get the feeling from watching a number of your other videos that you have quite a strong knowledge base.
Please consider this request to do more of this type of video showing how to adjust - maintain - repair and operate the various sewing machines and equipment you highlight.
    Best Regards,
    Jack

Thanks! My Adler was kind of on/off when I bought it. Now I can go slow again. Almost ordered a servo motor, now it can wait.

SAME THING! The motor for a mitsubishi I recovered was beyond filled with dust balls. Gave it a major clean up and scrub and it worked beautifully. Now the machine is amazingly smooth! Thanks for uploading this video!

Hey i have a juki motor that humms when on but the wheel doesn't engage. It used to sound like yours too but now you just feel the hum, what might be the problem?

What would cause the motor to scream when running fast and when power is switched of,stopping the motor?

readjust the brake, the cork is probably thicker, so the brake is too tight.
