If you can't see the constellations, try this one:

This will be a leisurely exploration of realMYST, the 3D remake of Myst. These videos are good for fun facts, time-wasting, and cheesy jokes, but bad for a quick show-me-the-answer-now walkthrough.

Your literal interpretation of Robyn as Sirrus made me laugh, but I agree, Sirrus composes some nice music.
LOL and 5 stars just for that SQ1 intermission.
Other than this, I enjoyed all these 17 parts and am not getting back to our discussion of part 2. Yet, I would agree with a speaker in another part that you should do commentary versions of all the other Myst games. When you're done with this one, that is. Fun to watch.
Hahaha right as you entered the last symbol and the watery sound came on, my phone started ringing and vibrating on the wood desk and it freaked me out! I jumped a mile in the air!
Hahaha..... and it was a stupid telemarketer.
Complain about tripping on a six inch rope. Burn 1 1/2 minutes
".....But we don't have to worry about that now...."
made me smile
"a cow's face" lol it looks like that to me too
6:02 lol so random
Damn I remember playing through Exile when I was like 10. I was all into it with a paper filled with a shitload of notes in front of me. Good times!
Haha, the "today's" date you inserted on the machine was my birthday, well, sort of...
Nice LP. I've been watching it all along since I can't get realMyst to work on win7 : (
Man I hope you are able to make more soon cause I love Myst so
they should make books out of the journals that the guy wrote, i love reading those :)
MYST = The Magic Tree House, but more epic-er
The clue for the constellations is a simple one: things that are green.
A beetle, a leaf, a snake (general conception is that snakes are green)
The snake's stars look more like a 2D square being looked at from an angle.
I think you could guess by clicking on the green and red buttons. Assuming you knew it was three green and 5 red, it should be about 56 tries before you get it right. Tedious, yes, but doable.
Yeah, I enjoy the music too. I don't understand those that call it "eerie" or "creepy"; personally I think Sirrus is a fine composer.
There's too many bleeping snakes in this bleeping sky! Sorry, it was a funnier joke in Myst 5.
Thanks for the pictures. Didn't know about that one, but thanks to your telling me to look, I didn't even need your second pic. ^^
Nice! I knew I was on to something! How can combinatorial algorithms possibly be boring?
Well, you don't officially know it's three, but you could come up with some systematic way of exploring threes and fours at the same time I guess, even though there are obviously more combinations with four.
I just came across this LP and am enjoying it thoroughly. I remember playing Myst as a kid and being absolutely clueless, so it's cool seeing this game now. Keep cranking these out! And do Exile next, it's my favorite.
One question. If the ship was underwater the whole time, why wasn't the book wet? I just blew your mind.
How was that book in the boat not ruined by the water?
@karaloyal Are you referring to the knock-off game PYST?
@roxas2832 Where the heck did you get that clue?
I remember coming up with a very weird solution to the puzzle as a kid. I changed all things that I thought to be green in real life to green in the puzzle as opposed to red. Of course it didn't work yet but then I decided to toggle the remaining switches and once I tripped the "bug" one, I solve the puzzle. Didn't even touch the tower or planetarium; it was just a very wild guess.
Is there a way to try all 256 combinations without ever repeating one? It's not that relevant, but I find it to be an interesting question.
This is my favorite age, from the theme, to atmosphere to puzzles.
SQ1!!! good times......good times.
Anyone else think the planetarium seat looks like the Animus 2.0 from Assassin's Creed?
@roxas2832 Try to contact Rand Miller and see if he ever thought of your solution.
Haha, I laughed at the railing comment.
snake? snake!? SNAAAAAAKE!!!!
2:50
Yay fighting with the controls again!
This whole little part about the date in the future along with the cow's face interpretation is one of my favorite parts of the LP
The rope bit still makes me laugh. I kinda sympathize with people frustrated at Roger Wilco tripping because that reminds me of how it felt to get abrupt endings/stalling from you during this LP. (you'd be Roger) :P
7:44
So perfect. The entire ship tantrum buildup part - like an impatient kid! haha aww
Wow, you're making videos at 1:31am??
HAHAHAHAAAA Roger Wilco is awesome!
No, that doesn't work because you can only flip one switch at a time. So you would have to do something like this:
00000000
00000001
00000011
00000010
00000110
00000111
00000101
00000100
00001100
etc.
It looks to me like it would still be possible but I don't have a rigorous, formal solution.
Shhh!
But yes.
I wish I could go back in time to when this video was made so I could invest an ass-load of money in bitcoin.
Pete K I had no money to invest back then...
