Hilarious, I assume you all would find it just as funny if they were simulating a woman being raped, screaming no as a bunch of people were talking about how horny watching it was getting them.
@@STLCODPS3123 "their fellow Africans who sold them into slavery …" That is true, but beside the point. Slavery is bad no matter who does it. I would add that exactly how much it sucks to be a slave depends more on who the buyer is than who the seller is. Still, both the buyer and the seller are wrong.
Cecily Strong is ridiculously funny and amazingly beautiful. Skits with her in it are like my guilty pleasure. And she can actually dance and sing. Happy!
As a professional whose work life revolves around lewis & Clark and the corps of discovery, I love this skit! Interpretive education can actually be nearly this awful irl - it's funny because they've done everything wrong. And because in reality, the tribes were practicing sophisticated governance, diplomacy, & trade - Lewis and Clark really were bumbling fools compared to the people they met. The tribes did not prioritize technology or mass production, so they didn't seem indistrialized, but the north Americans were incredibly advanced in all types of communication and relationship building. Many practiced a stable form of representative republic/democracy long, long, long before europeans...their national governing councils often practiced *consensus decision making,* which is incredibly difficult. Btw, "prostitution" was arranged throughout the journey, but the native nations varied greatly in how much they put up with that. "Sakajo" didn't join the group til 1804 tho, had a husband with her already, and spoke multiple languages fluently.
you speak revisionist nonsense. those tribes were extremely primitive and constantly warred with eachother and enslaved women. Fun Fact for those finally engaged with learning: William Clark’s brother founded the city of Louisville were Clark moved with his family later in 1785. The more you know.
I'll be a happy person when Cecily Strong gets the credit she deserves. She rarely gets laughs, just got her first Emmy nom, and hasn't been in a lot other than SNL :(
Pete just enjoying the bit then looking at the camera and realizing he's laughing and at work is fucking hilarious to me. That's why he's been one of my favorites. Dude's always himself
Pete trying to hide his laughter whenever the camera pans to him, Fred’s little smiles, and Kyle trying his hardest not to break make this skit so cute hahahaha
At 2:20 people are saying Pete doesn't realize the camera's on him but I think that's just supposed to be his character, cus of the "I'm finally engaged with learning" and "Are we supposed to be watching this?" part
kyle's delivery of "boo! slave owner" was perfectly unhinged.
missGuidedme cecily is my wife
@@williamhaskins8249 in my mind, she is my wife
Nobody knew it was bad back then
That was the funniest with the boo slave owner 😂
Cecily’s dance was killing Fred...
Pete's chuckle and then attempt to disguise it as a frown when the camera flicks to him is fantastic.
Galen Bacharier YES
What chuckle
Mint Mint at @1:16
He does it so much in this skit ahahaha
But also, Fred’s little smile when Cecily starts doing ~tHe DaNcE oF hEr AnCeStOrS~ lmao
That's all he does

@@mildymorbid oh shut the hell up.
"Is this okay for us to watch?"
"Yes."
I love you Pete.
I know right
I will pass on two dudes cornholing each other, its disgusting. Not hating on gays just the sex part.
Pete Ophelia?
The one time he remained in character.
"Jordan are you crying as hard as I am?" That line just kills me omg
+Gi O'Hara Killed me too hahahahahaha
G Kate He is leaking somewhere on his body
Yeah he's crying IN HIS PANTS
Not as much as Clark
I love how they're all subtly cracking up😂
I can't remember ever seeing Kyle break before!
kyle mooney is really good at being a bad actor, its really weird actually
a guy from nz I swear to god I think that’s the only role I’ve seen him play
Jixaw Check out his movie Brigsby Bear.....it's surprisingly good!
a guy from nz isn’t intentional bad acting what SNL wants?
bboysfanatic Brigsby Bear is soooooo good
a guy from nz Maybe he’s just a bad actor?
Anyone else notice the teacher said she ate a meatball salad?? lolol
Jeremy Bagley Yep. Meant to emphasize her sadness.
Jeremy Bagley I'd eat a meatball salad.
Jeremy Bagley i was once tempted to make a meatball sub a salad, at subway. never happened though. but how does meatball sub emphasize sadness?
Where did u get sadness from my original comment??
sorry, that was a general remark that i thought tate hildyard would respond to

Indian girl ... Sak-a-jew-yea 😁
2:20 Lol Pete Davidson didnt realise the camera was on him
+Navi Gill It fits nicely with the character though :P
lmao I noticed that right away
+Navi Gill No kiddo....
+Navi Gill I had literally just took a sip of water at this point and choked!
You know he's having dirty thoughts about Cecily as a sexy Pocahontas.
HAHAHAHA 2:20 WHEN PETE SMILES AND DOESN'T REALIZE THE CAMERA'S ON HIM.
ik I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
he knew, its his charecter ....
LOL and at 1:15 too!
+PizzaMelon haha I didn't notice that one!
I think his character was supposed to smile
I'm pretty sure Pete Davidson is gonna look 18 until he's 60.
Then he's going to look 20.
I wonder if he’ll have any discernible talent by then
There was a sketch were he played Cecily's husband and even though he's an adult it still felt weird and pedoey

Kyle going "no! This is not what I wanted" while almost laughing 😂
It's not gay if it's in a three way.
With a honey in the middle there's some leeway.
I prefer my "dick" in a box. It's a gift box.
its quite clear when you see the instant replay
The golden rule
Yes thats makes you GAY as hell
I'm sure that was somewhat historically accurate lol
lol true
Exactly. Check out the rawhide jackets. They are authentic. Totally

Uh no
Yeah if you're a communist
finally kyle is a main character in a live sketch

This sketch was live, but it was very nearly cut for time.

The sheer power in “AHHH, I FEAR I MIGHT RELEASE!”, is astounding.

“Where am I again?”
The true inspiration for Brokeback Mountain
"But remember that was before anyone knew it was wrong" most under rated line in this whole sketch
lol Pete is the best
He's pretty alright at stand-up, I don't like him on SNL though.

Yes lol
I’ve always noticed how Kyle makes Pete crack a smile anytime they’re in a sketch together
I don't think this is historically accurate

I think that during awkward moments.
