    this is among top three of these production diaries for me! this is the best possible case of combining quite a lot of all three techniques; matte painting, miniatures and CGI stuff in healthy abundance! combine everything as intertwined as possible, until it self combusts!

    I lost all my interest in movies many years ago (thanks Marvel), and I don't praise people often but your series is just awesome and I hope that the algorithm will catch up and help you out. The whole stuff is extremely funny, professionally done, lots of techniques to learn. Sretno momci! And I have to add that as a Hungarian I love that there is no bullshit and instead of fake US "everything is awesome and how fucking great I am" you point out the challenges and accept your failures.     Pro tip: helicopter blades have a very slight upward curvature in flight (mostly straight due to centrifugal force)....they only droop downward when they stop moving; on the ground. Fantastic work though - been really enjoying watching these elements come together

    I love this - of course once you start adding 3D elements it becomes obvious that the whole shot could be created in Blender or Unreal Engine.

    You guys are the best, not only a bunch of practical advice, but you explain the thought process. Here is how we got to this point. Started here ..... ended up here .... and everything in between. I have learned so much from you guys, and even though I know it must be such a pain in the neck filming the BTS, I hope you can keep it up. Can't wait for the release of this film, I so want to see the final movie, and would be willing to shell out some bucks to keep you guys doing this stuff.

    Don't know if anyone else said this already, but one tip: Instead of using corner pin for the cloud parallax you can also use the transform effect and there it's "skew" parameter. I use it all the time. It's much easier and quicker than the corner pin.

    I've been learning Blender since 2008 and I'm impressed with you just picking it up and making this. Took me years to realize I should animate general movement on curves to make it look right.

      I didn't say, but I used 3DS Max for years so I knew the logic of a 3d program. I just needed to switch to Blender and learn where everything is. It was truly a pain for a couple of weeks, but now I enjoy it so much. It's wonderful!

I went to film school for 4 years and don’t have your talent and initiative. I can certainly understand if you prefer to do your own thing because there have been so many horror stories about working with studios.
