I used to breathe like this until I moved to a city with steep hills and it no longer worked for me. So my question is what's the best breathing technique for climbing steep hills?

Great question! Walk much more slowly. You want to feel a mild air hunger but not be out of breath. Over time, you will build CO2 tolerance and be able to walk faster up the hills. But initially you just have to go slower.

Hello! Thanks you for your unique and helpful chanel
    I'm french.
Have you ever tried nose washes with a soft ENT pear and salted lukewarm water (home-made!)
Isotonique for nose hygiene (mucus, dust, allergens..)
    Hypertonic for a decongestant effect.
The rising, properly made, has an immediate and quite graphic result, as it empties the content of the sinuses...😅
    Have a nice day

Diaphragmatic breathing techniques have really improved my respiratory process. I now only really struggle on inclines and if I carry anything. At my worst I could not walk from one room to another in my flat without stopping for a breath.

Hey, can you make a video about how to silence the mind for several minutes? I already figured out that stopping the breath already helps quite a bit for that purpose.

It's definitely on my list to make one 👍. I find the breathe light exercise really helps: ruclips.net/video/hiQFTsBzqwo/видео.html

How does the buteyko method compare to the wim hof breathing technique? are there specific advantages one has over the other? And should they be used in different situations or for different purposes?

    • @thebuteykomethod
      @thebuteykomethod  Год назад +2

In this exercise, we are using small breath holds to gently increase CO2 levels to help with improved blood flow and oxygen delivery. Wim Hoff breathing uses cycles of hyperventilation and breath holds to temporarily create hormetic stress that causes the body to adapt, strengthen and build resilience. Great article here that explains more: oxygenadvantage.com/wim-hof/

    Hi,
Timely video. In the last video on your channel, You mentioned that 80% of your brain fog is gone. With this 20 minutes walking outside routine, are you 100% out of the brain fog?
With the reduction of brain fog, have you noticed reduction in fatigue, pain if any?
    Thank you. 😊

Hey there :) I still get some brain fog but it tends to only be when I spend all day on the laptop. Yes I've seen a reduction in fatigue with reduced brain fog. I didn't have any pain issues really. 🙏

One of the main reasons is diet and stomach lining information , allowing larger than normal particles into the bloodstream , causing havoc and brain fog . Alcohol and anti inflammatories can be one of the culprits .

Agree re alcohol and diet. Cutting out sugar, processed food and alcohol has made a massive difference to my mental clarity.
