How would you change this pattern for a toddler size?
when ypu begin the paztern instead of chaining 15 you chain less(I'd do 8). you single crochet in the back loops untill it fits around the weist of the toddler. then you continue the pattern as the video says.

Look up yarn weights. Each skein of yarn has its weight/class on the label.
